>>
Nobody says this. Wheat is white.
>>
>>538578962
yes, I switched from potatoes to rice as my staple carb because it's way less effort to prepare and doesn't spoil, you can buy a huge bag and it's good for years. Only downside is it's not as nutritious but it doesn't need to be when you're eating other stuff with it
>>
>>538579187
>double take
ok, on one hand, I want to scream at you because that is not chili once you add rice to it.
on the other hand, what a brilliant way to make it more filling and last longer
I am going to give you a one time pass on this, under the promise you will never post this again, because we have a thing in the south here where we dump spiced chili on spaghetti noodles, and this dish is called "spaghetti red"
>>
>>538578962
Yeah we do eat rice a lot, it's a great food
>>
>>538578962
rice is categorically third worlder food, my guy. generally we eat bread or potatoes as our main source of carbohydrates.
>>
>>538579419
He already put beans in it to start a war, the rice was to start a holocaust.

I love my boiled diced beef and potatoes. One of my favorite meals. Some of my other favorites are eggs on toast. Potatoes and gravy. Potatoes and chicken. Potatoes and eggs. Potatoes and sausages. Fish and chips. Well done (real well done, not that fake 165F "well done" that is basically still raw) steak and potatoes.
>>
>>538580954
Sausages boiled in broth then fried in a cast iron pan are god tier buddy
>>
>>538581244
You can fry my sausage jeet :)
>>
>>538581211
>I love my boiled diced beef
literally that would taste better pan fried in butter than boiled. even if you boiled it in chicken broth it wouldn’t taste as good. the texture would be all off..
>>538581244
sure sausages perhaps, but he’s talking about diced fillet.. that’s stupid.
>>538581097
probably. I don’t get the point of the LARP. is it making a joke or is it trying to fit in?

>>538581610
pickled vegetables are great dude. sauerkraut, pickled asparagus spears, hell even pickled beets can be amazing if paired well.
one of my favorite dishes is corned beef and cabbage prepared in a slow cooker.
>>
>>538581490
I fry my steaks in butter. No oil. I do burn the butter completely black. But I like it that way.

Lentils
Quinoa
Beans

All much better than rice
>>
>>538581834
yeah like I implied here >>538581772 the closest i’ll go to boiled meat would be something heavily brined like corned beef in a slow cooker.
what you showed here just looks like a complete mess, dude..
butter is not supposed to be black, why are you doing this?
has nobody ever heard of using a lid while frying things?
>>538582162
uh, so can I, we’re discussing what is traditionally white cuisine.
for you it’s reconstituted fish, pickles, and root vegetables.
>>

>do you eat chink foo...
no
>>
>>538579548
Depends on what I am eating. If it's steak it gets fried or baked potatoes. If it's pork it gets mashed potatoes. If it's chicken it generally gets rice.
>>
>>538582412
pork is actually quite good in chili compared to beef. i’ve always wanted to try venison again as an adult, I had it once after my uncle went hunting and I haven’t had any since so I forgot. venison chili or chili of some other game animal like mallard would probably be pretty good.
>pork and potatoes
but yeah, pretty standard. grew up on pork chops and mashed potatoes.
>>
>>538582563
>grew up on pork chops and mashed potatoes.
As did I. And corn/broccoli. It was a staple in the household. I still make it just like my mom used to.
>>
>>538583082
>corn/broccoli
yeah, exactly the same for me. my mother is/was not a good cook, so I have to add more salt and vinegar to the recipes relative to how she used to cook it.
>>
>>538582309
> has nobody ever heard of using a lid while frying things
I fry my beef with the lid on.
My recipe for the perfect steak.

Thin frying steak 8mm thick
Add to frying pan with a chunk of butter
Fry with the lid on, full power for approx 10 minutes
Continue to fry until all the juices come out and boil dry
Once steak is boiled dry, remove lid and continue to fry on full power for a few more minutes per side.
Rub the steak in the boiled dry juices to increase the flavor, use the steak like a pan scrub to collect all that burnt goodness.

I have been perfecting this method over the last couple of years. Its the pinnacle of cooking. The steak is so flavorful when cooked this way.

Very common struggle meal in the American South. A can of Wolf chili, some rice and shredded cheese will go a long way. I enjoy it even outside of the nostalgia factor

Clean your kitchen

Cincinnati Chili is yankee shit. I have never once seen anybody put any sort of chili on spaghetti in the south. And Cincinnati chili is nasty, they add a lot of sugar and cinnamon and shit to it
>>
>>538580492
I had sushi the other day and the tuna ruined it just tasted like cat food
