It brings me great schadenfreude looking at the job market. Those blue collar jobs that were underpaid for the past 50 years are now in dire need of skilled labor. They sent all of the world our production to save a few bucks and now the chickens are coming home to roost. Not that the wages that are offered now are really worthwhile anyway, and the entry wages are still horrendous. I work in the tree industry. The wages offered are terrible and the equipment is often near catastrophic failure. They demand more work from fewer people and people leave the job, which means the company is unable to fulfill their business contracts and they lose money. The great Satan is dying and it brings me such joy.
why
Seriously. The starting wage for a machinist in my area is $20ish an hour. That's slightly better than a fast food worker.
>>538593501Because the people who rule over us are fucked too. And they did it. We all suffer, but they will lose so much more than I.
you realize that by the time wages are good again for jobs from 100 year ago, your quality of life will also be like how people lived 100 years ago? hope you like home cooking and barely ever traveling
And the stock market is tettering on the edge of the greatest correction in the past century and I am frothing at the mouth waiting for the inevitable.
