Modern corporations serve a singular purpose: to enrich the people who control them while insulating them from legal liability and blame from the public to the greatest possible extent.

Corporations in their previous (19th c.) form, where one top hat and monocle-wearing Monopoly guy had voting control of the shares and called all the shots and was subject to public rebuke if he acted like shit, were an incredible invention and one that fueled near-endless growth and innovation in America's early years.
But now, that structure is gone, and with extremely good reason: it removes virtually any constraints on the company's management not to act like shit in pursuit of the bottom line.
Part of our fundamental drive to seek out leadership is to have someone to point the finger at and blame if things go horribly wrong.
Eliminate the singular, outsized figurehead, and all of the accountability washes away like water through a drain in the floor.
>This decision was terrible and damaging to society! Who made it?
Well, it was a team of VPs delegated the actual tasks to employees
>So it was their idea?
Well no, the C suite came up with it at the behest of the board of directors
>Who sits on the board??
Members of the C-suite itself, 4-5 large but not majority investors in the company, and heads of other businesses, several of which are directly related to ours
>They call the shots, so they must own the company right?
What? No, they are just looking out for "the shareholders"
>Who tf are the shareholders
Millions of owners of retirement and investment accounts, pension funds, investment funds, hedge funds, major banks, insurance companies, etc...
>...So everyone??

Everyone owns these companies, and no one calls the shots.
NO ONE CALLS THE SHOTS.
Companies that follow this model don't have management directives. They don't have true leaders. They just exist.
Their mandate is structural: make as much money as possible. No matter what.

Man I ain’t reading all that.
Enjoy unemployment.

I read all of that and I hate employment.

This anon is a submissive faggot that got used to humiliation rituals

Nah I’m just playing. I read it all and it’s high quality. Why the fuck is all the produce we buy covered in shit that causes lymphoma?

Isn't McDoids finally seeing a loss in sales? Are the goycattle finally learning?
>>
>>538596285
>Why the fuck is all the produce we buy covered in shit that causes lymphoma?
Because it helps it sit on shelves longer so they can sell more of it. Plus it poisons you and then you have to go to a hospital where the same companies that make the poison they spray the food on also make the "medicines" that never actually cure anything.
>>
the giant wall of text and the vague topic I gleaned from reading half of the first sentence inclines me to believe this is some pinko commie faggot bitching and moaning
>>
>>538596301

They're primarily seeing a loss in sales because they raised their prices.
The funny thing is that their niche within the American economy was a food bank where the food wasn't quite as shitty and it wasn't embarrassing to eat.
The government showed them massive preferential treatment as a result.
Now they seem to have at least partially alienated that market.
>>
>>538596354

I think anon is talking about glyphosate. It's a weed killer.

Commies have nothing to do with corporations, since corporations can exist in commie societies. Another corporate bot rat that climbed the ladder to a comfy spot, you will all be killed eventually
>>
>>538595885
This causes a lot of the issues that reactionaries like me hate, too.
>You need to buy at least one tattoo, peasant
>Make sure to pay for crazy hairstyles on a regular basis, peasant
>Make sure to be as androgynous as possible, peasant. We want to be able to sell you both lipstick and steroids at the same time, peasant
>Who's gonna work for 2 dollars per hour, peasant? If you won't do it then we'll have to import sudanese people to do it instead, peasant
>cute little brick house? no, peasant, we are only selling giant mansions made of fragile wood, peasant
>complain? we don't have a leader, i'm just following orders, there's nobody to complain to, peasant

the existence of corporations?
>>
>>538596375
I'm not commie. And like most challengers to an incumbent ideology or behavior, I do not possess many solutions, at least not immediate ones.
But this shit is beyond the pale. These companies, particularly Fortune 500 retailers, media conglomerates, and food & bev giants are beyond the pale.
They are objectively atomizing people, keeping them propagandized, keeping them single and childless for longer, feeding them nurtitionless garbage.
Now they have taken to obiquitously surveilling them, because they know what they've done.
They do this in the name of "accountability", "safety", and a desire for people to "be on their best behavior", solely because the know they need to be able to define those terms in order to ensure their own survival.
>>
>>538595885
It's jews fault.
Look up ford motor co. vs. dodge
>>
>>538596798
There is no reason to argue against him if you don't own a considerable amount of stock or have a position in those companies, why do you think communists won in Russia 100 years ago, if you are a pleb you either get manipulated or somehow ascend in social ranking
>>
>>538596850

I assume you mean the existence of modern corporations causes these things. It doesn't.
They emanate from the wealthy as a consequence of normal human behavior.
We denigrate others who are demonstrably beneath us a mating strategy, more or less.
The issue with modern corporations is that none of the corrections to this behavior and it's tree, like shame and threat of reprisal, exist as they would with a single majority owner/shareholder presiding over them.
>>
>>538597093
you and i both have the same issue - most retards on this site don't want to read a million words

the solution is simple though. join an international organized religion and use it as a syndicate with which to infiltrate corporations and become a powerful influence. examples: islam, catholicism, hinduism, anything with a billion brown members that breed like rabbits. become wall street, subvert wall street
>>
>>538597340
i get you man, i understand. we used to be able to say "fuck the monopoly man" but now the monopoly man has been replaced with the board of directors and the board of directors all say "i'm just following orders teehee"

They have to perform, otherwise they get
>fired
>a lecture from a soulless husk that has no internal monologue and the only thing in his life is his current work (manager)
>hr abuse
>performance review
>shunning
>isolation in the workplace
If I had to work in retail in the US, I would get a Jacobs syndrome false prescription that makes me extremely aggressive or fake schizophrenia so I don't have to interact with idiots around me that much
>>
>>538597443

We are inherently incredibly poor at division of blame, because in our entire ancestral past, dividing blame across a wide enough spectrum resulted in one thing: war.
We always have been and always will be terrible at prosecuting behaviors that have a negative effect on millions of people in the aggregate, because we simply can't add up the toll.
Our psychosocial firmware can process any more than about 150-200 people, because those were how big the tribes we lived in were for the first 850-900,000 years we existed.

The extent to which western populations are totally oblivious to these facts or think they can fundamentally change them in themselves and others has always baffled me.

No, corporations are an arm of the state.
>>
>>538596570
Yes, exactly. The pharmaceutical company Bayer owns Monsanto, who makes RoundUp weed killer. They spray they poisons on the food at the farms and then sell you the treatments for the cancer their products caused you at the hospitals.
>>
>>538595885
By the way it's the government who gives corporations limited liability, it's almost as if corporations are a state entity.
