This is a 1 in a 7000 year event, modern society has never experienced something like this,

What is developing is so far beyond any global climate event that has impacted modern industrial civilization that predicting much of what’s coming is educated guesswork. Turn the volume on the typical El Niño impacts up to eleven, then watch the collective infrastructure of modern industrial civilization crumble. Watch as flooding storms wash away roads and cities. Watch as trailing storms create new inland lakes, swamping farmland. Watch as fires raze forests and grasslands. Watch as heatwaves turn temperate regions into unsurvivable hellscapes. Watch as crops fail and dams burst. Watch as the shelves of your local grocery store gradually, then suddenly, go empty.

>A "Niño-3 temp sensor" refers to the network of sea surface temperature (SST) sensors used to monitor the Niño-3 region in the equatorial Pacific, spanning 5°N to 5°S latitude and 150°W to 90°W longitude. These sensors help scientists calculate the Niño 3.4 index, which is the primary metric used to declare and track El Niño and La Niña events.

>>
>>538605520
A few scattered hunter gatherer populations survived by moving. They did not have 8 billion people, coastal megacities, global grain belts, power grids, hospitals, insurance markets, supply chains, ports, dams and nuclear plants fixed in place. AC does not protect crops, fisheries, water supplies, outdoor workers, ecosystems, coastlines, housing insurance, or people who cannot afford reliable electricity. the question is how much damage, displacement, crop stress, heat mortality, flood risk, fire risk and ecosystem loss etc we choose to pay

>>

That's a long term effect if AMOC packs up that the models say will kick in in 50 years. Obviously Europe is the same latitude as Canada, but we don't have a Canadian climate. We would lose rainfall and turn into a cold desert.

They started measuring the sea temps from a spot near the ship’s exhaust. Actually, they always did this but calibrated it accordingly but the the data wasn’t showing any global warming and since the “models” all show warming the calibration had to be “adjusted” and OMG it’s hotter than ever now.

Tldr chuds dont know what albedo is. They'd rather "die for" a pedophile than lift a single finger to do anything to work towards guaranteeing a future for thr white race. Much less the paramount continuity of mankind itself. Also the game.

we did survive then but that is because our way of life was a lot less specialised and more flexible
Now however we have built ports and cities in appropriate places. Climate change may change the flood plains and the sea level, affecting the performance of these areas. Certainly there will be new ideal spots to build cities, farms and ports but it would be an ludicrously expensive ordeal to reconstruct a large city elsewhere. On top of affecting budgets the global economy could tamp down, leading to shortages.

Also the biodiverse populations of then could accommodate gradual changes in climate. Climate change is rapid and our crops are a lot less biodiverse
>>
>>538605388
what pisses me off about this shit is that the average citizen gets talked down to by governments and corporations about how this is all our fault, we need to do better, turn that tap off between brushes, turn those lights off, cant have this or we're limiting that, etc and its all Inconsequential compared to what a handful of companies do, the same ones telling me to do better, every single person on earth could be 100% energy efficient, green, etc and it wouldn't even make a dent in what corporations do in terms of pollution and environmental impact
i dont run mass production, i don't have a fleet of container ships, i don't fly private jets to conferences to decide what to take away from the average person
any government or corporation that wants to tell me how much i impact the earth and how i can do better can go fuck themselves

This is the solution to the fermi paradox. Technological civilizations snuff themselves out bc they dont wont or fail to manage heat. Mankind DOES deserve this tho for real.

>>538605388
This is indeed result of mankind's actions, but it have nothing to do with CO2 or any emissions, instead it's direct results of building giant heaters known as data centers.

The companies do not just polute and emit CO2 in a vacuum. There's a demand for it, granted it's mostly a demand that comes from fucking normies, politicians, and the ultra rich.
Normies buy new, cheap clothes every fucking week from China, if they're DINKs they travel by plane 8-10 times in a year, and most of it are just short no-value visits to major cities for a weekend.

i was going to say i understand that the companies are making stuff that we buy etc but in my opinion its gone beyond simple supply and demand, every company wants infinite growth, shit no one asked for or needs pumped out, the market is absolutely glutted with useless trinkets and objects that just didn't need to be made, then youve got the making things to fail trend so that another one is purchased a few months later, that is probably the one thing the average person can do to make a difference, completely reject all the useless bullshit and relentless consumerism, but it will take the majority of people doing that before any change would happen, obviously I dont see that happening
