They already held many conferences in support of Lebanon but the problem is much deeper. Even Israel aside, even if they are the main nuisance to peace in the region, the Lebanese governement and state is insanely corrupted and mismanaged, and only got worse after the civil war. Lets not forget how after the garbage protests in 2015, there was a a wave of reformists that were surging in the municipalities elections, but all traditional parties including Hezbollah and Christians parties united to stop them.

What would France even gain from doing something similar? Also the relationship between Hezbollah and the Lebanese governement is not the same as what the Assad regime and syrian rebels had. Hezbollah has ministers in the Lebanese governement and parliament members.If you want to go after Hezbollah you need to tackle the root cause of why they are still around. It's not just the weapons they carry that sets them apart, but the entire network of social services, including healthcare, education and monetary support they provide to citizens. They filled the gap that normally a state would be fullfiling but was completely absent in Lebanon, and to some degree still is. For now Lebanon will continue to suffer, but that's not anything new. While often romanticised, Lebanon has always had problems of political instability and weak state. Even in it's so called golden era before the civil war it was far from perfect. Even during the phoenician era thousands of years ago it was politically divided.
