I actually don't.When it's time to die I want to die alone, and not affect anyone negatively. They simply made sure their daughters weren’t accessible to boys. Abstinence as a way of life for kids was internalized.That distinction is important. They didn’t change the way boys were raised. If the boys weren’t in sports, they were at home playing video games. Problem solved, because either way there are no girls around so they’re not getting laid. With their daughter though, they made sure they were engrossed with extracurricular activities: dance class, band, classical music lessons, art, theatre, girls sports, scouting… anything to keep them from just hanging out with boys, which can lead to fucking and teen pregnancy (it can’t lead to HIV but that fear is still real in the mind of most Gen Xers). These activities taught their daughters how to be sociable, how to work together, how to solve problems, a work ethic, various life skills, and so on. Meanwhile the boys just LDAR’d with an Xbox.
