He underwent emergency neurosurgery at Gemelli Hospital and remains in intensive care, conscious but in critical condition.Police are searching train stations, airports, bus terminals, border crossings and abandoned buildings after Hossain's phone last pinged near Casalotti. Prosecutors have opened a homicide and attempted homicide investigation.
