>The German government has offered the Germans to chip in for a strategic gas reserve. It wants to introduce a surcharge on consumers' electricity bills to finance a strategic natural gas reserve designed to ensure uninterrupted supply in the event of a worst-case crisis scenario. These costs will be passed on to consumers. For large industrial consumers, the additional burden may amount to millions of euros. European Commission spokeswoman Anna-Kaisa Itkonen called on EU countries not to "panic" when purchasing gas and due to a new spike in prices after the resumption of the conflict over Iran amid record low levels of gas reserves in storage facilities in Europe.>At the same time, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz went to buy weapons for Ukraine from the United States.

>>538650013The problem is that "The Moscow Times" is literally not related to Moscow in any way.
Hello and welcome to Regions Calling, your guide to developments from beyond the Russian capital by The Moscow Times.Nearly a month on, Russians are still reeling from fuel shortages triggered by Ukrainian attacks on Russia's energy infrastructure. Though fuel availability varies widely from region to region, the ripple effects of the crisis can still be felt even in areas where shuttered gas stations have reopened. Meanwhile, people are reporting rising food and transportation costs driven by the shortages and small farmers are sounding the alarm about the future of their farms. To gauge the trajectory of the ongoing crisis, we are zooming in on the republic of Bashkortostan, the country’s leading producer of diesel fuel and gasoline. But first, the latest news:The HeadlinesTwo business owners from the republic of Sakha (Yakutia) are facing backlash after posting photos from a trophy hunt in South Africa in which they killed a male and female lion, with critics saying that the trip violated the hunting code of the republic’s Indigenous people. “Any Sakha knows that killing an animal for anything other than food is a grave sin,” Sakha blogger Daina wrote. Residents are calling for a boycott of businesses owned by the couple. At least 630 dead dolphins have washed ashore in the southern Krasnodar region in the first half of 2026, according to data published by the local dolphin rescue center Delfacenter. The number equals the combined total for 2025 and 2024, which were two of the deadliest years on record, according to volunteers.Experts cited acoustic stress from underwater explosions, sonar and military vessels as potential causes of internal injuries.Authorities in the Novosibirsk region, located over 2,500 kilometers (1,500 miles) from Russia’s border with Ukraine, issued their first-ever drone threat alert on Monday, in the latest signal that Ukrainian drone attacks can reach as far as Siberia.
I am seeking revenge, power, experience, knowledge, and brown women.

Artists Against the Kremlin is more than a book — it is an ongoing artistic and cultural movement. Each year, the project presents exhibitions at the renowned art center DeBalie in Amsterdam, bringing together the courageous voices of critical artists. Following every exhibition, we publish a book that documents the event and preserves the artworks presented.Artists Against the Kremlin is a collective statement by Russian-speaking protest artists reflecting on the actions of the Kremlin. It stands as evidence of how Russian culture resists power today — not only on international stages, including protests connected to the Venice Biennale's Russian pavillion and actions by Pussy Riot, but continuously, across contexts and in a wide variety of forms. This project brings together more than 100 contemporary Russian-speaking artists who respond to the reality around them: the war in Ukraine, political repressions in Russia, the persecution of vulnerable groups and Indigenous peoples, environmental crises, and other urgent issues. It can even be described as a form of “degenerate art” of our time, a century after the term emerged in Germany. This is precisely how such art is perceived by the Russian authorities: as dangerous, unacceptable, and subject to censorship. This is art that exists under threat. The artists involved risk their freedom for their position, with some have already faced repression, including imprisonment. Our goal is to raise 15000 Euro through this crowdfunding that will allow us to print the volume. This project is a collaborative effort between The Moscow Times and the Prometheus project. The Prometheus team curates the exhibitions and oversees the creation of this book, ensuring that the artwork and artist statements are presented with the highest quality and care. The first volume of Artists Against the Kremlin book was widely supported — at Indiegogo alone we raised 180% of our funding goal — and got recognized internationally

Have a couple very interesting quotes from the article:>To "live" at least a month before the end of the competition and not waste time while Ukraine has an advantage in middlestrikes, The Ministry of Defense has reallocated several billion hryvnias within its budget and distributed them to 20 effective UAV units. These units are to independently purchase drones and shoot them down in the coming months. >"Everyone was given a couple of hundred million hryvnias. Our baht, for example, is buying drones with different warheads that will fly to a depth of up to 150 kilometers. Everything needs to be done over the summer ," - tells UP an interlocutor in the 7th corps of the DShV, who is participating in this "program". >It is also worth noting that the Ministry of Defense is largely counting on Ukraine receiving a European loan, which will allow it to compensate for the funds spent in advance. Otherwise, some of the already planned expenditure items will suffer. > Along with the competition for middle strikes on the Ukrainian market, the Ministry of Defense also expects to contract 100+ thousand drones as part of international assistance. However, when asked "Do you feel the impact of the work of the Middle Strikers on the front?" most of the UP interlocutors among commanders and military personnel of various levels - from the Kostyantynivka, Kramatorsk, Slavyansk, Oleksandrivka, Pokrovsky directions - throw up their hands.>"No effect, none ," says an officer from the 19th Corps, who works in the Kostyantynivka direction. >"What kind of middle strikes? We are paratroopers, all we can feel on ourselves are Russian "Molniyas" and FPVs," a scout from one of the DShV brigades, currently advancing in the Oleksandrivka direction, writes to the UP. >The effect of the work of the middlestrikers is probably currently felt only by those who work directly with them. And, let us recall, these are only 20 units (we exclude the special services).

>>538653746Probably running out of money combined with Zelensky's "40 days" peremonga campaign, coupled with the fact that the Ukranny knows that Russia's adapting fast to their tactics
>>538653178It’s interesting how they don’t even hide the fact the goal here isn’t to take back Donbass, that’s already a total lost cause, they just want to have a less humiliating peace agreement. I don’t foresee any agreement that doesn’t involve Ukraine ceding everything east of the river as well as Kherson. Ukraine doesn’t have the means to win on the ground, simple as that.
What causes this?
>>538653178But I was told that Russians are so embarrassed and demoralized by long range drone strikes that they all wanted to quit in abject shame
>mfw catbox is down>>538653293what didn't he lie about? he basically broke every single big promise he made before getting elected. he did everything he opposed while sitting in the opposition. he knew exactly what he had to say to get elected and to stand out from his competition just to do what they said in a worse way. i know there is a theme of politicians lying to get elected but what he did was honestly impressive in how tone deaf it was. he broke the debt brake (something that he opposed for many years even before and criticized any other party for getting rid of) just to blow basically all of it on an army that can't even invest it properly (they fixed a sailing ship for the price of building a bigger and better one). he promised an overhaul of the welfare system but knew exactly that under the current institutions and with his partners it would be impossible. he promised to fix the regulations around heating and other crap but knew exactly that we are bound to play by the eu rules. he said he would get rid of the migrants and crack down on asylum and increase the border controls but cucked out because of the eu. it wasn't that he "only" lied about 25 or 50% of it. it was basically all of it. there is much more.
>>538653651>>538653651Another of our interlocutors, from the 7th Corps of the Ukrainian Air Force, which is participating in the test program, notes that even for him the effect of the work of the middlestrikes is currently barely noticeable. For a truly tangible effect - until the Russians will in principle not be able to reach their positions, and those who are already there will not have supplies of ammunition and food - it will take time.>We have not yet managed to create a deficit for the group that is in Pokrovsk. They have dragged enough of everything into the city. However, if we continue to work, this deficit will appear. What is happening "on earth" at this time? >While the Defense Forces are now fighting for the same window of opportunity through middle strikes and strikes deep inside Russia, the situation on the front line remains largely unchanged. >Statements, or rather interpretations of statements by the military and politicians, about seizing the initiative in some areas of the front are probably premature and exaggerated. Seizing the strategic initiative involves an active offensive, liberating one's territories, and forcing the enemy to play by its own rules. This is not happening at the moment. >"About the current situation, I would say that we are trying to stop the degradation, the deterioration of the situation on the front, which we have observed since the fall of 2023, when the enemy seized the initiative. I would not use the term "seizing the initiative", "turning the tide" yet." I would say more modestly – the situation has stopped getting worse. " , - answers the question of the UP about the possible interception of the initiative at the front, senior analyst of "Return Alive" Mykola Beleskov .
>>538653823The drone peremoga was always on borrowed time, ukraine had to prepare for months to do this shit and they’re rapidly running out of drones. Anyone who thinks Ukraine seriously has the capacity to produce 2 million drones a year is actually retarded.
>>538653823EU and USA can always print more money, that isn't the real reason.
>>538653906for a moment I thought you were talking about Trump lmao. Modern democracy is fucked
>>538653907>"We are trying to seize the initiative, there are certain counterattacks near Zaporizhia, further south, and in the Dnipropetrovsk region (we are talking about the Oleksandriv direction, which in fact affects the Donetsk region more - UP). But at the same time, the enemy continues to advance in the east, to advance in the Donetsk region, which means that we do not fully possess the initiative. Once again: We now have more modest tasks – stabilizing the front line, ensuring that the enemy does not advance, in order to strengthen our negotiating positions. " , - adds Beleskov. According to the data available to the Ukrainian Defense Ministry from the Kramatorsk and Slavyansk directions, from April to June the Defense Forces responded to Russian assaults, rather than initiating them themselves. And the daily number of these assaults by the Russians only increased. >" We are conducting an active defense with elements of counter-offensive actions, but we have not seized the initiative. "May was a month of increasing pressure by the enemy, and the beginning of June was its implementation. The enemy determines where, when and with what forces to attack," notes the interlocutor of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry in the Kramatorsk and Slavyansk directions. >In addition, as the Ukrainian Defense Ministry knows, the commander-in-chief's statements about " the liberation by the Defense Forces of more territories than were lost" do not take into account the "gray area" or "zone of influence" (presumably, it is very difficult to take into account in principle). And in conditions of constant infiltration by Russians, there is a lot of this "gray area".

The growth of the kill zone and 100-200 -day stay of people in positions (Syrsky's order to withdraw infantry after 60 days of stay, if it started to work, then far from everywhere). The number of logistical routes has become constant and the lack of creating alternatives. The presence in leadership positions of people with a non-adaptive type of thinking and fear of reporting the real situation to the top.>We cannot ignore the increase in the number of reserved soldiers and the low "quality" of newly mobilized soldiers - all of this is hurting the army.>And all of this, including the issue of mobilization and return from the North Caucasus, cannot be handled by the Ministry of Defense alone. The Supreme Commander, the General Staff, the president, the parliament, the government - everyone must focus their efforts on not losing.>So as not to lose another, actually quite short, window of opportunity. >Unfortunately, it is not only the Ukrainian military that can knock out logistics with cheap drones dozens of kilometers from the contact line. >Russian Molniya strike drones have become a major problem for the Defense Forces. These drones are made from civilian Chinese components, have easy-to-manufacture rectangular wings and beams, are fast to scale, and do not require highly skilled workers. >"Lightnings" are a design. They are equipped with anti-tank mines, grenades, special serial ammunition, or literally any explosives that the occupiers have.>And recently, modifications of drones for remote mining, logistics, and autonomous destruction using machine vision have begun to appear. >"Currently, the enemy has concentrated about 500 thousand Molniyas in warehouses, which are sent daily to strike our logistics and positions," said the division commander, Sergei Minayev, call sign "Ramses", to Oboronets. According to his pilots, in the most critical areas, each new Molniya appears every 4 minutes. >Minaev says that currently in each brigade of the Russian army 2-3 crews have been deployed, which launch "Lightnings" for tactical tasks. One by one, the enemy destroys houses in villages, poles, trees, shelters, animals. The task of Russian drone pilots is to turn front-line villages and forest belts into wastelands, where our soldiers will have nowhere to hide. >Recently, artificial intelligence-equipped "Molniyas" have begun to appear more frequently in Zaporizhia, flying in complete radio silence. The program allows the drone to independently aim at the target. >The Russians are also adapting the tactics of flying Molniya drones to the actions of our interceptors. In many directions, the Russians have increased their altitudes and are now flying at altitudes of 1.5-2 km, and then dive sharply downwards. (1/2?)
I mean damn.... Russia actually posted this years ago, thinking we're all going to freeze and starve in Europe without them.Meanwhile in Russia....
>>538654575that sounds terrible, Brazil bro. I hope you feel better soon. hopefully, you get over her. perhaps you might like to meet another woman or simply get into a healthy hobby to get your mind off of her
>>538654657>The Russians, seeking to fool Ukrainian interceptor pilots, have perfected the tactic of flying Molniya in pairs. They launch two drones simultaneously, one soaring 50 meters above the other. The interceptor sees the target, dives on it, and destroys it, but the second Molniya continues its flight. >"We see the image from the picture. We go in, hit the drone, and the picture doesn't disappear. We rack our brains, wondering what's wrong. And it turns out to be the picture from the "Lightning" below, and we don't have time to fly out after it," says one of the crew pilots. >Increasingly, modifications of the "Molnyi" with high-quality optical gimbals are being shot down in Zaporizhia. Such a drone flies over the rear, trying to detect pilot hideouts and the movement of logistics to them. The Posipak pilots shot down several such drones. Later, when the military arrived to analyze the unusual sides, they discovered explosives inside.>"There's a microphone embedded in the blocks. When you start to disassemble it and disconnect the modules, it explodes," the unit says. >The same version uses drones that drop FPV and repeaters. It was thanks to these drones that the Russians were able to strike Zaporizhia a few weeks ago. >General Chereshny representative Yevhen Pylypenko notes that one of the company's main tasks now is to abandon analog communication on drones, since this signal can be intercepted and the interceptor's landing location can be tracked. Then the position will be revealed and drones and KABs will start flying over it. >"The Russians are constantly modernizing the Molniyas. If earlier AIR could catch up with this target by 70-80% of power, now this is not enough. We modified the base boards by installing batteries with high-current elements, which provide greater power to the drone. And this entailed the need for a different assembly and soldering structure: more refractory solder, a more stable set of components, etc.,"

>>538655510he is not trying to do a bad job. this is the best he can do to weasel his way into being chancellor for once in his life. nothing he did was because it took effort or anything. everything he did and what happened was because of a lack of effort and lying on his part. it will never be great. not with this government and not with the people who keep voting for this government. not with the delusional ideas that get promoted and pushed as a solution to all our problems. there is not even a realistic analysis in the market of "free" ideas of what made germany "great". there is no idea for the future too because of that. this is why we are where we are and keep running in circles and why i don't see that changing in the foreseeable future unless something drastic changes for once. (lel at that small china flag).
