>Why has music sounded the same for the past 30 years?

I mean compare it to what gen x and boomers listened too its almost a complete different genre, Im talking about mainstream music btw .
>>
You apparently just listen to radio.
Typical stupid propagandised boomerX mistaking his bubble for the world

it hasn't you're just a sperg
>>
I'm no expert but I can pretty reliably guess approximately what year a given song made within the last 30 years came out.
I also know people who are much better at guessing this than I.
So I don't think the idea that they all sound the same holds water.

The technology changed significantly. I'm sure you could find a YouTube video to explain it to you in more detail.
>>
Anyway, also the arrangements changed significantly too. For example, about 30 years ago--more like 35 actually--it became very fashionable to eliminate "call and response". Tying this to politics, the collective unconscious stopped talking back in forth through harmony. The conversation became one sided and anger certainly was also given centre stage. I could go on, but won't.

I like Fleet Foxes

Yeah I noticed that too.

the other thing was High Definition cameras. not only did music not change much but once 1080p came into existance with 4k only being slightly better yet still most streaming sites show 1080. its difficult now to say This was 2 years ago or 20 years ago unless you see a group of cars or cell phones in the hands of the actor.

I stated this decades ago on the internet and my prediction is 100% accurate. I literally can find an old post of mine from 20-25 years back complaining that house music and rap destroyed rock and country music. and that the Grunge era music was the last real rock music era. which died around 1995.

I was right the whole time and you're not the first post I came across making this discovery. It was 100% predictable 30 years ago

and on top of it I see Kenye total wealth at 1.2 billion while the band members of RUSH only have about 50 million each.

they have been musicians for over 50 years now and this is their total net worth each about 40-50 million. so you have some ignorant no talented ass mother fuckers who have 30x as much wealth in less than 20 years

I took music theory and I can tell you that digital wand music that this shit is with sampling and the monochrome filtration that Cher made popular in the 1990s is in fact a massive stagnation in how music sounds today. and you knowing is based on your own experience not the technical aspects that we are in fact in a low creative point
On top of it, people actually are willing to buy shit based on mob mentality over true creativity.

we live in a lazy era. people don't spend years practicing for that professional sound that was unique. it's just presets and or some DJ with a fucking iphone

>you knowing is based on your own experience
Well yeah obviously, but maybe you misunderstand: I'm talking about guessing at songs that you've never heard before, not remembering what the song is and when it came out.
>>
Why can't music sound like this again?
