>>538668935If you are actually asking, lots of young plants in particular don't do all that well in direct sunlight, it mostly dries them up. Most trees in particular sort of assume that they you know grow in the forest because most trees just drop their seeds nearby which means they evolve to grow in at least partial shade for their climate. Wind obviously blows over weak and old trees and being in a forest with younger and stronger trees helps protect them which doesn't really mean anything but if you draw faces on the trees them it's a good thing that the grampa tree isn't send to the chopping block before his time.
