I will happily have to make "routine checks" weeks/ months in advance if it means I can go to the ER without having to start drafting my bankruptcy papers

It's shitty. The only reason it's part of the left wing agenda is because this specific thing happened go be in the communist manifesto.
Where's the universal car service, or the universal grocery service
>>
Because some actors would LOVE to have a 100% socialist system, where all their risks and costs are socialized onto somebody else, while their profits are guaranteed by the "state"

everone that tries to pitch "free healthcare" needs to be killed
>>
>>538678868
Look what happened to Canada. They are literally putting founding stock Canadians down like dogs, against their will, to avoid healthcare system collapse.

How is it shitty?

>>538678933
That sound more like a problem of Corruption than "UH is bad"

>>538679296
why do you not hear of those things in the other countries with UH?

>>538679437
yes, and witch doctors are "Free" too, that is not UH
>>
>>538678868
its only shilled so that your doctors can run billion dollar medical billing scams like they do in canada. when the government pays and there is no oversight you can bill for anything you want.
>>
>>538678868
if we lived in a homogenous society it would work fine but we dont so im not paying taxes so oogaboogas from shitholestan can come here to rob me and rape my women then get free healthcare on my dime when they get herpes
>>
>>538679577
same answer then "that sounds more like a problem of Corruption than UH being bad"
>>
>>538679657
socialized healthcare is just a blood funnel unless you have VERY good oversight and canada and america are both incompetent top to bottom when it comes to any oversight.

i honestly wish healthcare was paid but cheap like in asian countries so brokies are motivated to work and working people get fast service and doctors dont become billionaires running billing scams.
>>
>>538679551
>why do you not hear of those things in the other countries with UH?
You do.
>>
>>538679644
Easy, You need an State ID to get the Free Care, if You are an ilegal immigrant, you need to have proof of ITIN or go into "old system" line.
>>
"free" healthcare sucks ass, you end up waiting a year for any doctor appointments because boomers go there out of boredom or for the smallest inconvenience.
It's like being forced to buy the shittiest health insurance.
>>
>>538679972
Again, I dont really case about "standard" check its, make the appointment, mark it in the calendar and keep living.

I care is about going to ER and not having to pay 1-2 months worth of paycheck for 6 hours (5 of which were waiting ) (assuming I can get myself there and not having to ride an ambulance.

I dont want undesirables living
>>
>>538679551
>yes, and witch doctors are "Free" too, that is not UH
They are paid by the state. That's why the sign says "STATE OF ALASKA".
"Yes, the State of Alaska employs doctors, primarily within the Department of Corrections and the Department of Health and Social Services. "

There's a well funded and highly sophisticated propaganda campaign running for decades by the private healthcare industry to make you hate universal healthcare, without ever having experienced it.

If you ever live in a country with universal healthcare and access the system, you'll quickly realize how hard you're getting scammed by the healthcare industry in the US and how having cheap, easily accessed healthcare without being afraid of bankruptcy should be a basic expectation of any developed country.

Thankfully for the private healthcare industry, most Americans don't have passports, let alone ever live in another country, so they don't have to worry about being found out

What do you do for work and how much are you paying for your health care now?
>>
>>538680283
You buy it for me since you like other people paying for your stuff
>>
>>538679551
>That sound more like a problem of Corruption than "UH is bad"
All welfare systems are corrupt by their very nature - wealth is taken from the productive, skimmed off the top by bureaucrats, and then what remains is given to the indolent - which is why they should be kept to a bare minimum.
>>
>>538679551
Its a question of incentive and individual rational economics.
If some central committee is going to just sign you every bill you write you are incentivized to just write 7 Gazillion dollar onto it
>>
>>538680414
This is just factually wrong. Private systems are vastly less efficient than public systems because they have a profit motive, so prices are raised as high as the market will bear. Public systems have no profit motive and negotiate price caps with their large economy of scale. This is why the raw uninsured cost of surgeries like heart transplants in the US are 500k-1m. You will never see a bill like that in a public system.
>>
>>538680388
There are very very few productive people in the west and they’re definitely not the ones you’re talking about
>>
>>538678868
you want people like Donald trump and Obama and Elizabeth warren and AOC deciding when and how you get healthcare? Are you nuts?
They don't want to give you healthcare, they want to deny you healthcare. That's the whole point of socialized medicine.
Only an entirely free market is the solution.

«Those who had seen the accident called an ambulance for him. But Whitten waved them off and called a friend, who drove him to a nearby hospital instead: “I knew that ambulances were expensive,” he said»
«because he’d suffered a traumatic injury, they were obligated to send him to San Francisco General»
«He was loaded into an ambulance for a six-mile transfer, evaluated without additional treatment, and sent home the same night.»
«The ambulance ride, he learned, would cost him $12,873: $737 for the miles traveled, $314 for monitoring his heart on the trip, $151 for infection control, and $11,670 as a “base rate.”» - https://davidoks.blog/p/why-american-ambulance-rides-are

>Only an entirely free market is the solution.
"While 100 million Americans have at least some medical debt, about 7.4% of U.S. residents experience catastrophic healthcare expenses annually, more than double the rate of any other developed nation. Here, medical debt is defined as experiencing problems paying or being unable to afford any medical bills in the past 12 months, including those for doctors, dentists, hospitals, therapists, medication, equipment, nursing home or home care. And the term catastrophic is defined as out-of-pocket spending exceeding 40% of a household’s income after basic necessities have been met. Further, estimates suggest that inability to afford costs of medical care contributes to at least 530,000 personal bankruptcy filings annually. Approximately two-thirds of personal bankruptcies in the U.S. are associated with medical expenses or illness-related loss of work." - https://www.forbes.com/sites/joshuacohen/2026/04/05/increasing-burdens-of-medical-debt-and-bankruptcy-are-uniquely-american/

What incentivizes more fraud?
That 350M people are legislative bound to pay for a service they have no demand for, or a system where only those that have a demand pay.

"free healthcare" is a socialist scam
>>
>>538684055
we do not have a free market system, pastaman.

All it does is fund vaccines.
Health care doesn't exist.
False sense of security.
If you get hit with a bill, no need for bk...just don't pay it.
>But what if I get cancer.
You'll probably die anyway. Don't give them more money. Especially not nuke your net worth.

No response to this one, OP? You got really quiet all of a sudden.
