remember when Europoors made fun of the US because they can't drink in public?
guess who's making alcohol curfews
>>
>>538683556
>remember when
No, first i'm hearing about it. Here booze is sold from 10AM to 10PM since 2008
>>
>>538683650
In america you aren't allowed to drink outside because muh kids
>>
>>538683556

They used to come up with some gay ass Laws - hide your booze in a brown paper bag.
>>
>>538683556
sheeeeeeiiiiit, no one uses the bag anymore.
If a pig sees anyone drinking openly, they are to assume it's one of globohomo's vagrants and they are to be left alone.
>>
>>538683776
bullshit.
public drinking is the same as carrying a swiss army pocket knife in public in the uk
>>
>>538683695
Too much emphasis on driving in the US also, so that law assists the safer driving culture of the US, not really an excuse for Europeans though, couple shots before work, hour train ride, nearly sobered up with your fancy croissants and espressos before the shift, nothing wrong there.
>>
>>538683650
lol where I live in Missouri alcohol can basically be bought 24 hours a day. Probably because Anheuser Busch is headquartered here and they lobbied the lawmakers in this state to make booze always available. In the olden days we were not allowed to buy alcohol before 9AM on Sunday. Now you can buy it at 6AM or anytime on Sunday. That was some gay religious law and thank god that law has been removed. Sunday morning is the best time to drink and get fucked up.
>>
>>538683556
public drinking been prohibited here for more than 20 years
>>
>>538683870
Not in California, drinking openly is pretty common. It's minor compared to the open narcotics use.
>>
>>538683930
>Cali
yeah, forgot about that faggot city my bad
>>
>>538683556
Speaking of The Rest Of The World, now that Canada, the USA, and Mexico are done in the kickball thing shouldn't all The Rest Of The Worlders be going back home now? Nobody cares anymore, and we only pretended to care because we are too gracious not to be welcoming in the beginning.
>>
>>538683650
>no curfews here
>cant buy after 10
nigga
>>
>>538683900
Here you can buy booze "to go" in bars if you didn't plan ahead. Some cunts even started their "vodka taxi" business where they'll bring you booze after 10PM with a slight markup. So shortly it doesn't really work, who wants to drink will drink anyway
>>
>>538684024
i think the scots should come back. they know how to have a good time.

doesn't make sense how they make money, beer tastes like shit and plus you don't want to get a buzz?
who's buying?

>safer driving culture of the US
The fuck are you saying? Ive seen thousands of videos with burgers driving like absolute retards, especially speeding, sure usianos may drive safer than the average drunk driving russian churkoid or romanian kamikaze but car related fatalities per capita are higher in USA than Europe.
>>
>>538683900
No booze on Sunday in Arkansas except restaurants and micro brews which you can take home in growlers as well. Dumb law.
>>
>>538683556
europe isn't a country, yank
>>
>>538684290
yet
>>
>>538684228

exactly the point, now imagine if they had relaxed open container laws.
>>

does the pope live in the vatican?

>making
drinking in public has been banned in this country for about 10 years now
for good reason and with good results
>>
>>538683913
>>538685303
would you wish public drinking to be a thing under certain conditions?
>>
>>538685448
it still is permitted in restaurants or bars that have external "gardens" with tables and sitting places
this is a good compromise
you can still enjoy a drink outside but you can't hang out around the door of a 7-11 with your bottle in hand
>>
>>538684504
because you are a leaf and you cant help but be a butthurt douchenozzle online
>>
>>538684335
But "safer driving culture" means people naturally drive safe of their own accord, not because they are forced to do so by laws, if you have a safer driving culture you can relax driving laws because people will naturally drive safe as they believe is what should be done.

I'd rather be a canadian than a spiritually brown arizonan. Go touch the base and swear your undying fealty to rome.
>>
>>538686451
This is the case in Finland. Nearly everyone is a good, polite driver. They understand that speeding is just going to make a few minute difference. And you almost never even see the police, they come out when someone reports you for driving like a dumbass.
>>
>>538686451
well consider you've developed a bias also looking at the worst of the situation with videos online, one is taught a ton of defensive and safe driving in America obviously but I suppose if you cut your view of things with only the worst of what can happen then you'd make that conclusion, also if we apply a flood of migrants from the third world more recently to America's driving "culture" then you compound the issue but all things considered there are a lot more people respecting the responsibility and privilege of driving in America than not, the state can matter also and you'll often hear Americans complain about each other's state-level driving issues.
>>
>>538683870
i see people drinking cider at 9am, nobody cares. the police dont even stop shoplifters you think they care about public drinking?

I drove across Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia all the way to Tallin and thought I'd die from boredom
90km/h limit everywhere, single carriageways all the way
I bet the leading cause of accidents there is falling asleep at the wheel
when are you gonna get some motorways?
everything was otherwise nice and the girls were pretty but man, those roads
pic related
>>
>>538683695
>kids
These laws have nothing to do with kids. The reason behind these laws is that police districts needed a legal basis to arrest homeless people and get them out of public places.
>>
>>538687161
The main road to Latvia is slowly being constructed. You can drive through the whole country in like 3 hours, its not that important for the locals. Its being upgraded mostly for all the kierowcas in transit. At least our trucks drive 90km/h. When you get stuck behind a LT/PL/RO/BG number plate doing 80 and no way to safely pass, that's bad :DD.

It also took forever for you to develop a motorway to Warsaw from Lithuania. Route 8 was pretty aids just 10 years ago.
>>
>>538687099
they shouldn't because your country alllows, unless you meant the places banned by the council

oh it was
I remember that cancer from my previous trip in 2012
things have improved

Croatia passes law allowing local authorities to restrict alcohol sales hours

Split proposes 9pm summer alcohol sales cut-off across the city
https://www.croatiaweek.com/split-proposes-summer-alcohol-sales-restrictions-9pm-cut-off/
>>
>>538687633
According to the draft decision, the restriction would apply to all retail establishments that sell alcoholic beverages, regardless of whether it is the main, predominant or secondary activity. This includes shops, supermarkets, hypermarkets, discount stores, gas stations, kiosks, markets, stands, vending machines, mobile sales and occasional sales at fairs, events and other events.

The City states that the decision would not regulate the working hours of sales facilities or prohibit their work, but only the sale of alcoholic beverages between 21 p.m. and 6 a.m.

The reason for the decision is stated as follows: Split During the tourist season, especially in the evening and night hours, faced with increased congestion in public spaces, where the availability of alcohol can contribute to disruption of public order, noise, inappropriate behavior in public areas, pollution of the area and additional burden on utility services.

Thats why I checked per capita deaths, Europe is the continent with lowest per capita traffic related deaths, highest per capita traffic deaths country in Europe is Bosnia with 13,7 (lowest is Norway with 2,1), USA stands at 14,2.

Used to be the same in rural Tennessee. People were courteous while driving. I noticed it specificly after 2021 when Nashville filled up and surrounding areas started building mcmansions for richfags to move here. Now everyone tailgates, speeds, passed on double yellow, high beam led lights, etc. I always follow the 4 second rule while driving and it pisses so many people off. They often pass just to get stuck behind another vehicle for 6 miles because the road is too curvy to safely see ahead to pass.
But cops here do not care because our police system is kiked. Cops have general task they are given and respond to calls but in America what happens is rich people create funds in each state. Those funds choose specific crimes for cops to target and then the cop can get unlimited overtime pay using those funds to target those crimes. Tennessee for example currently has funds against drunk driving and there is widespread abuse by cops arresting and charging people with DUI while they have 0.0 BAC and zero traces of drugs. Then the richfags will put bounties on a new crime in a year and they will move to that. Meanwhile any case brought against piggers or the state in regards to this abuse will be paid out of taxpayer money instead of richfag funds.
Maybe eurostan is similar to the US and I am unaware but I think while Europe is generally better in these regards you also are a few decades behind us in these regards. And it is likely you will repeat our systems in your countries as richfags stress the US poors then expand for more money.

American police and glownigger funding really is messed up. Here i want to make another good point for Finland, they set fines according to your income. So richfags don't get off so easy.
>>
>>538688047
>Maybe eurostan is similar to the US
our countries are smol, so police work is entirely centralized
funding comes from "federal" budget so there's no local tax support for local police
financially incentivizing police to focus on specific crimes sounds banana republic-ish
it's a straight path to abuse and corruption
>>
>>538688237
>So richfags don't get off so easy.
well, you make another problem this way, poorfags get away easy with it, if you want a fair system you take away their rights not their money
>>
>>538688237
>So richfags don't get off so easy.
this incentivizes you to stay poor and exceed speed limits in a 20-year old beat up Lada
>>
>>538688668
>f you want a fair system you take away their rights
and then if you get caught driving without a license, jail time
>>
>>538688668
>>538688669
Nah, at best it makes you hide in income. Who the fuck will choose to be poor just to get speeding tickets? Do it enough and your loicense is suspended
>>
>>538688769
>hide in income
Hide your income*. Whitch is based for tax purposes ;)

wow, whats next, rape curfews?
>>
>>538688237
Percentage based seems more fair. Does Europe have a similar problem however of "affluence" or richfags getting away with crimes? If the percentage is too high then fighting the charges in court seems cheaper which would mean if someone is so rich they could commit crimes and be above the law and not pay. Just doesnt seem like a winning play if you allow justice systems to handle crime since those systems exist to protect the rich.
>>
>>538689073
>richfags getting away with crimes?
yes on both national and local levels
recent story
>son of rich businessman kills family in traffic accident (they burn alive)
>100% his fault, bloody bastard was going almost 200 mph on a public road
>local police knows his dad
>local police delays proceedings with plausible deniability
>bloody bastard escapes to Dubai
>huge media scandal follows
they got him from Dubai but only becasue the whole country went big mad about richfags getting away with things
>>
>>538692040
Wait wtf? I don't watch the news. I just remember some "pomroczność jasna" bullshit from maybe 20 years ago.
>>
>>538683556
I only once ran into a surprise when at the climax of Covid hysteria I tried to buy a bottle of red wine after 8 pm at LIDL and the cashier told me that it had been prohibited. That was the time when they came up with many other stupid measures like banning outdoor sports, even banning visits to other counties. I just kept riding my bicycle crossing several county borders and witnessed how police stopped cars and checked if the people had a justifying reason for their driving around. Never even once I was stopped. They just ignored me.
>>
>>538683556
You can't buy alcohol after 9 pm in Finland except from pubs and nightclubs. And you can't buy real wine or spirits in grocery stores anyway.
Finland has to be one of the most retarded countries on this planet.
Artificial curfew actually increases the pressure to buy alcohol products because you cannot think in peace, you are pressured to act because time is so and so already.
>>
>>538683556
In america they have hamburgers with cheese. They call them cheeseburgers. An educated european will ask, what about the ham? There never was any ham to begin with. A hamburger is simply a burger for hamsters.
