Poland has launched the production line for the Hornet PL-AT-1, a long-range strike drone modeled on the Iranian Shahed-type loitering munitions. A staggering $6.9 billion is being spent on drones and counter-drone systems, representing a 260-fold increase in the countrys drone funding.

>Poland has become a key hub for Chinese drone components amid the Ukraine war. Parts are rerouted via Poland - mostly flowing to Ukraine and used by Polish forces. Poland plans to spend PLN 15 billion ($4bln) on drones/counter-drone systems built mostly from Chinese components.

Honestly, i got pretty mixed feelings about this. On one hand, its good that Bolanda is drawing the right lessons from the war in Ukraine. Its also good that it is deciding to swap out Western and Polish components for Chinese ones - because churning out toy drones like the FlyEye for $460,000 a pop, with a production capacity of just 50 units a year, was an absolute farce, even by Polish standards. xD That said, the idea of Poland turning into a drone battleground doesnt exactly thrill me. It would be a real shame to wreck all that new EU-funded infrastructure xD

Jprdl, te silniczki, jakieś takie z dupy. Biedne dupsztajny takie. No ale w sumie to jednak krok we właściwym kierunku. Należy mieć nadzieję, że może te chińskie części mają jakieś backdoory, i gdy Bolanda wypuści rój dronów, to te diabelskie maszyny zawrócą i pochlastają agresywne polactwo co je poskładało xD

Nobody can do better than Bolanda. Poles created first worlds stealth tank. Nothing even remotely matches this tech.

Poland is the biggest drone exporter in Europe and Hornet PL-AT-1 uses no Chinese parts also Poland is working with Taiwan instead of China https://pism.pl/publications/drones-and-microchips-new-areas-of-poland-taiwan-cooperation

Taiwanese drones heavily rely on mainland‑made parts. During a visit by Taiwans regional leader Lai Ching‑te to a "Taiwan drone team", the displayed drones motor was clearly marked MADE IN CHINA, kek. Taiwans indigenous Ching Fong I and Rui Ying II drones were found to use Chinese‑made network chips and memory cards in their communication modules. The Teng Yun project (dubbed the Taiwanese Reaper) used mainland‑produced wireless communication modules. The Jackal drone, co‑developed with the UK and Turkey relied on Chinese direct‑drive motors, propellers, and batteries. Etc etc etc. Besides Taiwan is China.

Anyways, where does Bolanda export these drones? 99.9% to Ukraine, i guess? xD

Yes Taiwan also uses "Made in China" marks aere you stupid?

they just moved the tank out of frame, retard

In the first eight months of 2025, Poland imported approximately $32 million worth of drones from Taiwan, absorbing nearly 60% of Taiwans total drone exports (kek). This represents a sharp increase from nearly zero in prior years.

To put the $32 million figure in perspective, consider the scale of Polands overall electronic imports:

In 2024 Poland imported **$17.79 billion** of electrical and electronic equipment from China alone. This is over **550 times larger** than the $32 million in drone imports from Taiwan. Poland imported from China, for example, $437 million** in "Electronic Integrated Circuits and Microassemblies" and **$845 million in "Diodes, Transistors and Similar Semi-conductor Devices" - critical components for drone production.
