A month ago the world was in max fear about even the western world starving due to the strait of horsepussy being closed. It is virtually impossible for people in the west to starve. Besides comercial production, the length and breadth of information in gardening and production, if commercial farming failed, backyard gardeners could almost step in the next day providing the needed calarories, vitamins and minerals. The rabbit is literally designed to be killed and eaten by humans. A common saying in the generations that built Australia was "Thank your Mother for the rabbits", when my uncles friend said it to me as an 18yo I wanted to fight him for saying it. But they explained it was a common expression because they used to eat rabbits as a staple.

You just flick them by the head breaking the neck, then you can basically peel the meat from the fur lightening fast once you know what you doing, minimal blood and guts and gore etc, just clean meat pretty much straight away.

It's a lot more efficient to butcher one goat or lamb and eat for a week, than a rabbit every day.
