>>
>Senior U.S. Official: We think Iran is showing a lot of signs of wanting to make a deal
I believe it because why the fuck wouldn't iran want the deal where they get everything they want for basically nothing? US offered them 300 billion, control over the strait, full israeli withdrawal from lebanon, lifting of all sanctions, and 24 billion in frozen assets just for a promise they won't make a nuke. Even if the US has no intention of ever committing to any of those points, it costs nothing for Iran to say that yeah they'd love a deal like that.
>>
can we finally talk about the fact mossad has control over small IRGC commands? there have been attacks by the "IRGC" this entire conflict that not only go against the best interest of Iran at the time, but even get DENIED by Iran that they even did yet are documented to have happened.
I've been saying this for weeks, you can check. Mossad is using this to escalate when things are looking peaceful or close to a deal.
>>
>>538717870
>just for a promise they won't make a nuke
not it would be a full nuclear deal more strict than the JCPOA; but they do get a lot from the deal.
>>
Man this is pathetic. Cope-bombing for 2 days and then yet another bluff ultimatum while the strait remains closed. Guarantee this guy will TACO by the deadline and say Iran agreed to a deal or whatever. Why even bother at this point, just cut your losses and get the fuck out if you're too pussy to escalate, trumpstein.
>>
>>538717870
maybe because the US has already violated every single clause of the MoU and shown itself not to be trusted?
>>
>>538717870
>300 billion
actually let's give them a buck fifty in wheat and basedbeans
>control of the strait
not with that omani route we've oh-so carefully set up
>full israeli withdrawl from lebanon
which israel has said they have no intention of doing as they continue bombing the south
>lifting of all sanctions
funny, we tore up that oil license we gave them just yestarday
>24 billion dollars in frozen assets
apprx 0 of which have been unfrozen despite that being an upfront concession during the negotiations

According to the MoU, and they have also repeatedly said, they won’t charge tolls for the first 60 days. Which is why I’m surprised the US insists on its dumb Project Freedumb adventure when it could just let them use the Iranian corridor

Quite the opposite
The guards are now running the entire apparatus. Civilian leadership are just a rubber stamp for optics.

What's going on is that the US is stripping every interceptor and PGM from the planet and sending it straight to the middle east . Iran is churning out as much missiles as it can while simultaneously repositioning their TELs and clearing the rubble from underground complexes.

MOU is kabuki theater. It is literally a logistical pause. Some sperg on twitter literally forecast the exact period in which stocks will run dry and need to be replenished on the very first day of the war.

oil prices reflect the reality of the market, which is a glut

gluts are a natural consequence of supply shocks

4:50 AM in Iran.

Tard said 24 hours for an answer, 4 PM US time, meaning deadline is 4 PM US time Saturday. But the day starts in 4 hours, 8 AM Iran time, 12 AM US time. Then the day goes to 5 PM Iran time, 9 AM US time.

See that? We don't have to wait until 4 PM US time to know if Iran will obey what Trump said. By 9 AM US time, it will be 5 PM Iran time, and if they were going to say it, they would have. By the time it gets to 4 PM US time, it will be 12 AM Iran time. They wouldn't wait until midnight. They would just do it during the day, before 5 PM, so before 9 AM US time.

That is, we will know Iran isn't answering before the 4 PM deadline because that's US time, which doesn't correspond to the time Iran would be making decisions

>He’s essentially the Shi’a pope, yeah?
For religious Iranians he is the deputy of God on earth, not in a "divine right of kings" way but as the literal "guardian" tasked with protecting Shi'a society against moral decay and political subversion until the end of the world.
Accordingly, his political involvement is one of setting very general principles (mostly moral ones) and occasionally vetoing any decisions or policies he finds contrary to those principles (e.g. as Ali chose to do with nukes, or as Mojtaba chose not to do with MoU). He's not some Pol Pot-esque dictator who micromanages everything in the Iranian state, neither does he have the time to do so. He's a religious scholar first and foremost, and his direct involvement in politics is supposed to be (and is) extraordinary.
Therefore, the biggest challenge to his authority is always what semi-religious or non-religious Iranians think of him. Thus far, even secular Iranians view him as a unifying national leader that all political factions can rally around to prevent fragmentation and foreign infiltration. This is what separates legit Iranian reformists from subversives who want to overthrow the Iranian state. What the west fails to understand is that 99% of the Iranian opposition are reformists, who are still wholly loyal to the leader and only politically oppose the principlist faction. They're not subversives and they'd spit in your face if you claim they oppose the leader in that way.
The closest parallel I can give is that he's like the king in early-modern European kingdoms, like the UK prior to the 1830s reforms, and the West is making the mistake of equating the Whigs with outright republicans who want to abolish the monarchy. And also failing to understand that the conservatives and common religious public continue to see this king as the literal face of God on earth.

war is currently in a state of muddying for time with both sides hoping something changes with minimal direct activity to do so

both sides are completely frozen, so the US is taking the opportunity with it’s (((media apparatus))) to push various narratives to see what sticks during the funeral which is a radicalizing event, so they’re hoping to demoralize Iran and anyone that was thinking about helping them out during the ceremony

there’s still no plan

the insufferable levin/jew idea that we are "freeing" the Iranian people, and "saving" them, and all they need to do is "RISE UP!!!" and they can collect "RICHES BEYOND IMAGINATION!!!" is so fucking absolutely pathetic and jew-centric its unreal
only jew nigger brains think in terms like these, its hilarious to see them assign them to completely alien people as if this will some how make it 'so'

This sort of ignorance is what allows that SCMP to concoct such hilarious notions as Ghalibaf being locked in a power struggle with Mojtaba.
A struggle over what? Which roles of the leader that I described above overlap with that of the speaker of parliament?

As the other anon said, they've gotten hopelessly tangled up in the webs of their own propaganda.

>Why even bother at this point, just cut your losses and get the fuck out if you're too pussy to escalate, trumpstein.

israel literally collapsed internally because of the MOU (and with it "political zionism") and now the zionists here are losing their minds.
the only thing that can stabilize israel long enough to stand their regime back up will be the resumption of war in Iran by the US
and the immediate israeli continuance of regional slaughter of its neighbors to restore the illusion of 'greater israel' to prevent the nation itself from becoming a "lame duck" in the inevitable power vacuum of this new reality.
israel hedged the future of their national existence on this war concluding with
>"there is no Iran at all"
not some "Deal", not some "MOU" where everyone agrees to 'status quo' none of that...
israel and political zionists sold this war as concluding with the erasure of Iran entirely, rendered some giant insolvent, balkanized syria, engulfed in internal conflict, mass casualties and civil unrest.
obviously, the war DID NOT end that way, and in fact was the opposite, with israel now a collapsed state wholly dependent on the resumption of wanton ethnic cleansing to maintain domestic national cohesion untill some emergency decision on what to do can be made to restabilize it and prepare "gulf partners" for the fall-out they will imminently bear from this decision

it could be in 9 PM Iran time for all we know.

Either way Trump has all of Sunday when the markets are closed to bomb them.

>the real pope is two or three different guys in qom and iraq
The pope thing was always a rough analogy. Shi'a religious authority is intentionally decentralized.
Khomeini was the first to propose that the leading Shi'a religious scholar should also have the political roles the Iranian supreme leader now has.
The scholars of Qom, Lebanon, and Bahrain have since mostly accepted that notion. Iraq less so, but that hasn't become the sort of wedge issue between Iranian and Iraqi Shi'a that some in the late 20th century West hoped it would

More than likely anything would be done during the business day Iran time, which would be by 9 AM US time. But even if they did something late like 9 PM Iran time, that would still be 1 PM US time, or 3 hours before the 4 PM deadline.

Trump tries to do everything for a US audience, but the time in Iran is different, so it doesn't always work out.

China unveils microwave weapon; a weapon that disables its target without impact

China has unveiled a 100-gigawatt microwave weapon designed to disable drones and electronic systems.

Instead of exploding, the weapon sends ultra-powerful microwave pulses towards the target to disable electronic circuits, communication systems, and drones.

>would defer to or at least respect immensely in a religious context?
Given that he always begins his career as a religious student in the seminary of Qom, he would for sure value what his religious teachers have to say.
The problem is, you have to be pretty old to teach future ayatollahs in Qom.
Pic related was Mojtaba's main teacher. He is now 105 years old.
