This is what we should he discussing not the fact that someone who should have died decades ago continued to live

You should see what we do to the vegetables in the "cabbage patch." A life of hell inside a broken body. Cant even speak for themselves. She could have said turn it off anytime. They dont have that luxury.

>no one with skills to fix anything
The #CompetnecyCrisis, #DEI, #Woke #Jeetification et al., are all ancillary, necessary components of #PlannedObsolescence. After all, if no one can fix anything, everything must be made to be throw-away -- i. e., the apotheosis of infinite growth Ponzi capitalism.

My uncle was a machinist for 30 years.
He was replaced by 4 Mexicans for the same price. Sure they break shit constantly, but they're so cheap you can hire more Mexicans to fix the shit they break.

There are a few good ones (white) left making airplane parts, but they will run you $50/hour (starting).

The hell with this cursed world
>>
>>538720258
I'm sure it was actually easy to fix and pretty much any out of college stem idiot could do it, but nobody would have trusted them to try
>>
Polio?
Or vaccine side effects?
Remember when they DNA tested the smallpox vaccine? Whooops
>>
>>538721478
Technology from the 50's was extremely basic by today's standards. Like if you can take apart and assemble a vaccuum, you can fix the iron lung machine

She wasn't. For most of her life she only used it to sleep, the article says she lived a mostly normal life except for arm paralysis.

For those who feel pity, hopefully you feel universal healthcare is a human right. Otherwise you’re just feeling bad for yourselves cause your wittle feelings can’t handle the consequence of bad American healthcare. Yep, this sucks. There’s soooooo much more medical shit out there that sucks even worse too, shit that could happen to anyone.

If you don’t want universal healthcare that’s fine, you just have to accept this image as normal and stop feeling bad for something you have no intention of fixing
>>
>>538720258

This is what happens to all the people who cope by saying "Surely there will be a cure developed for it!"
No, there fucking won't be.
And if there is, it won't actually help the people already impacted by their circumstances. So, you will remain a cripple or invalid for the rest of your life. You will never actually recover from the disease you have, that no one wants to bother finding a cure for (even if they have the ability to do so) because there's no money in it for them... Or they consider the resulting impact to be on too small of a population to be an effective use of their time.

In the seventy-fucking-years that this woman was stricken, no one bothered to try to obtain spare parts to provide security against failures. In seventy years, no one bothered examine and replicate the technology. In seventy years, no one bothered to replicate and miniaturize the existing iron lung technology into a body-fitting vest. Or something more mobile, so she could be outside or something.
A simple task and test of engineering and machinery. No one fucking bothered.

If you have a terminal disease, you are fucking doomed. Do not be a science experiment involving isolation-torture for seventy fucking years; turn the machine off.

>She wasn't. For most of her life she only used it to sleep, the article says she lived a mostly normal life except for arm paralysis.
Ssshhhh anon it's more sympathetic and radicalizing if she's a torture victim to the medical malpractice system.
