Its really not as inhumane as everyone would have you believe. Everyone is provided with legal paperwork and books for recreation in their native language. Everyone gets due process and visitation rights for family or attorney. Everyone is fed (I'll be it the food is crap) the staff is diverse and many are immigrants themselves. We're taught to be tolerate of everyones ethnic, cultural and sexual background. The staff is friendly and I sense zero malice from any of the guards or Ice Agents walking around. Pay is also great, lowest probability for violence out of any facility I've worked at. They even all have a ps5 in each of the mods and lots of recreation time, majority of the day outside of count and lockdown. Only complaint is the Inmates could be paid a bit more. I think its only a dollar a day, however I think it may have changed to 2:50 for the kitchen workers. Overall a great place to work that treats people with dignity. However we have protestors outside that would have you believe we're blackbagging people, starving them and denying them of their legal rights.
