However, Russia CANNOT do the same, due to sanctions and insecure trade partners like China. Therefore, Ukraine is in the stronger position. Ukraine also has more 'freedom of action' - Russia cannot destroy the port of Odessa, because that would make China and Turkey mad. But Ukraine can steadily attack every Russian port, close the Sea of Azov, etc. Therefore, Ukraine wins. Not today, not tomorrow - but by next year? Absolutely.
