In my opinion (biased—am mainly a drummer) the trap drums are the main driving and innovative force of post-1930s jazz music. Those drummers are the ones who've been the greatest influence on the music's general development. (for example) look at the Coltrane quartet, or Miles Davis' two main quintets: the 1950s one, and V2.0 from 1963 with Tony WilliamsJack De Johnette is probably my favorite modern musician if forced to pick just 1
