>>538781660this. the entire issue with aid isnt that it is magically causing the population to multiply. if anything the aid would stabilize the populationthe problem is that when you live in a desperate place like africa, every jack ass is trying to "get theirs" and escape the poverty that dominates the continent. the result is rampant corruption. the aid essentially stops being aid and starts being payment to corrupt leaders in exchange for private corporations to come in and exploit the place. western interests are satisfied and the corrupt leaders are satisfied, and little to no aid ever makes its way to things like building proper infrastructure and the places remain poverty stricken shitholes and of course whenever someone altruistic does come along thinking they might make their nation a better place they get knocked off by the CIA, either directly through assassination or indirectly through clandestine funding for rebel groups
