US death at Omaha are due to incompetence, not a written fate. If they did right, they could have just walk in almost unopposed like they did at Juno, Gold, Sword and even Utah. On the same level, the high death toll among US paratroopers were also due to failure and mistakes. It went smoother for british paratroopers. And yet they tell us the US carried the whome thing. At least they did good during the Normandy campaign itself while the british were slow as fuck.
