In the test conducted under the leadership of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation/CASC, the first stage was successfully captured and recovered by being controllably held by the catch-by-net system on the Linghang Zhe (Navigator) rescue platform deployed at sea, using 4 capture hooks instead of traditional deployable landing legshttps://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cm2rmmx86pdo

>arresting cabledemocrats would shit their pants crying if we used that technology
>>538798333Now let's see them engineer their demographics and wealth gaps.
>>538798454>American ingenuity>A m e r i c a n i n g e n u i t y
>>538798479?? Housing is inexpensive and gets cheaper is somehow a bad thing ??Did you forget that they don't value wealth like we do?
>>538798479I don't think chinese have jews and pedophiles controlling 90% of the country's wealth despite being less than 1% of the total population.
>>538798333this is honestly a lot smarter than the chopsticks, which always look like they're about to fucking fall over
>>538798479Is Ireland in better shape than China?
>>538798333They invented a net. Great.
>>538799343Lidar coordination and mechanical response require sophisticated computing capabilities.
>>538799076realism vs fantasy
>>538799410It’s a net.
>>538799490You can't reproduce it, you don't have the tech to copy them.
>>538799517nigga it's a net on a frame on a boat
>>538799461It's really because China is communist, and Murrica is late stage capitalist.
>>538799559Neither Canada, nor Italy can reproduce that feat, you don't have the tech to copy them.
>>538798333A low cost solution that works. The mutt version is extremely dangerous, it require the engine running to the very moment it almost touches the ground which drastically increases the possibility of explosion. It is a "hot landing".With chink nets, once it's captured, the engine can then be shutdown immediately and the rocket itself still have some distance to the landing pad. It's essentially a "cold landing".
>>538798919It’s not since you need a landing as platform. SpceX solution will be generalizable sp that you eventually can land anywhere without a platform, making the design applicable for space exploration and obviously a lot cheaper. What this tells you is that the Chinese can’t figure out how to land with legs. It tells you that they are behibd SpaceX. Nothing a bit of spying will solve though, obviously. The Chinese will get their hands on SpaceX tech eventually.
>>538798418They don't have nets on the moon.
>>538799744>SpceX solution will be generalizable sp that you eventually can land anywhere without a platformIt's designed like that because they need <-This>What this tells you is that the Chinese can’t figure out how to land with legs.China doesn't need the invasion tech, they just need affordable ways to bring items to orbit.Like the poster above you said, the Chinese method is the safer and superior method, for its purpose.
>>538799771>They don't have nets on the moon.Actually, they can easily land a net-frame like that on the moon. It's easy because it just needs to be dumped there, the net-frame will never need to leave the moon. So it's simple.
China is the future of mankind.Muttmerica can no longer win.
>>538798418Why is it coal powered? The thing is a fucking flying chimney on fire
>>538799883>how they will invade youHow to tell us youre brown without telling us directly
>>538799461Realism nets to catch rocketFantasy legs to land on MarsLess payload for legs to justify market cap by selling hypeChina can just microwave starlink btw
>>538798518Volcarlos!
>>538798333what it launches from that thing
>>538801786No, it only catches the boster as it comes down. They don't have to worry about having fine adjustments in the last 50-100M as long as it's over the barge it can catch it.So basically if you get 95% there it solves the last 5% of the problem of trying to land perfectly with <5m precision/ perfect tilt.
>>538801786Nah the wires catch the rocket instead of landing it. OP is a retard and doesn't even know that the net catch method was pioneered on /sci/ by shitposters years before China "borrowed" the idea as they always do.
>>538801901Source? You can link to the archive if you are not afraid of comparing.
>>538801901>the net catch method was pioneered on /sci/Oh, what an invention, catching something with a net is /sci and only there. But the steel frame method with some wires were the below is water is pretty good. One lidar, a few motors and there is a big error zone on landing and swell. You can set the damping by software too to not damage the rocket. Even when something went wrong you have a second chance on the water surface. But i am sure /sci had that idea long before the first frog on earth watches a sunrise.
>>538804038It's /sci/ you unlurked swine
