“To all citizens and residents in Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates:
Due to the subservience of your rulers, and the use of some residential areas in the aforementioned countries to launch land-to-ground missiles towards Iran, we urge you to exercise the utmost caution. If you observe any missile systems or platforms in the vicinity of your residential areas, please evacuate the area as quickly as possible, and also stay away from U.S. military bases and facilities, and avoid lingering or passing near them. All citizens and residents are urged to evacuate these areas immediately and move to safe distances without delay, to protect their lives and safety. We have previously issued clear and repeated warnings to your rulers about the dangers of engaging in this course of action, and of involving their people in a major gamble with their future. However, they have chosen to continue blindly following orders, making decisions that do not represent the will of their people, but are imposed upon them from outside their borders, in the absence of any real sovereignty. Therefore, they bear full responsibility for all the consequences that will result from this course of action.”

Yaron Avraham channel 12 Israel:

Despite the seemingly escalating tensions between the United States and Iran, officials in Jerusalem believe that, at this stage, the Iranians do not intend to launch an attack against Israel. The Iranian assessment – which, it can be estimated, was discussed with the Prime Minister this evening – is that an attack on Israeli targets or the Israeli population would escalate the conflict to a higher level, and the cycle of escalation – which is currently contained – would spiral out of control.

A senior Israeli official stated: "We all hope that this assessment proves incorrect and that Iran does not make that mistake. The Americans know that we want to complete our missions in Iran – and they know exactly what that means.

For now, it is not relevant; the situation is contained, and we are not involved. We will only be involved if the Americans involve us, or if the Iranians involve us."

The current situation in the war between Iran and the US:

>US made major concessions to Iran in the MoU
>US hoped Iran would become comfortable with those concessions and become risk-averse
>US then tried to push control of the Strait of Hormuz out of Iran's hands

But Iran is neither risk-averse nor does it see giving up the Strait of Hormuz as an acceptable outcome.

Hence, we're seeing actions at the tactical and psychological levels intended to improve the chances of achieving a more favorable outcome than simply giving Iran the MoU concessions while also taking away its control over the Strait of Hormuz.

>>
There are two things in the IRGC's warning to the Gulf that had never happened before.

(1) direct evacuation orders for residents to and certain areas. In modern warfare (given accuracy of missiles and randomness of intercepted debris) this is never actually done out of welfare. it's just a propaganda tactic to both instill fear and forcibly pit the residents against their own government's advice, to see which side they think is stronger and would rather listen to.

(2) very clearly calling out the Gulf as ZOGslaves, lmao. They had always diplomatically avoided such language or at most called them complicit/allied to the US

While there is still significant fog of war as it relates to the current strikes happening between the United States and Iran, one key question springs to mind immediately for me:

What is the larger strategy here, and are the current US targets part of a larger campaign, or simply just "bombing to bomb"?

Earlier this week, we saw that the United States strike rail lines and bridges inside of Iran. Today and yesterday, I have heard unconfirmed reports of energy infrastructure struck inside of Iran. While absolutely abhorrent because I believe that a renewed economic warfare campaign has an extremely low likelihood of success, this would at least make SENSE in a lead up to a renew blockade of Iranian ports.

But it's simply not clear if there is any actual strategy to our current strikes. It would be... entirely absurd at this point to put forth that the United States has a pathway to victory that does NOT include massive amounts of boots on the ground. That has been made clear time and time again throughout this conflict.

So the question still remains... Is there any actual strategy behind these strikes, or are we just continuing to employ the same bombing campaign that has repeatedly failed to produce any results throughout the entirety of this war?

Trump is a demented, vain old man who ran for president so he wouldn’t go to jail. He’s probably just being presented with what to do at this point and tiredly signs off.

To my logic that means we’re really looking at a tug of war between Hegseth who wants to fight a holy crusade and Caine who is single handedly keeping the Pentagon from imploding. I’d imagine this tit for tat pussyfooting is something of a strange compromise between the two. In other words, it’s less strategy and more so the simple product of more basic infighting. To my mind anyway.

>target bank was out of date and they knew it, but they were told to ignore issues due to "expediency" (israel was about to attack and trump said we have to follow along with them)
>not much build up of forces due to time constraints and the belief that we'd kill the ayatollah and the whole regime would collapse from popular uprising
>zero support from our allies because we launched a surprise attack and spent the last 2 years alienating them with tariffs and shit

Well, the 150 mark is for sour crude, while the numbers posted are for total (sour and sweet) which is why it's a 319. Can't find a proper data source for sour (didn't look much to be honest), but the SPR is like 2/3rds sour 1/3rd sweet.

I think the stuff coming through Hormuz was mostly sour, so that's the one to watch more than the sweet anyway.
>>538822383

>Pure insanity.
It is because everything hinges on it. The US is depleting reserves to maintain the appearance of everything being fine, while betting that they'll be able to defeat Iran before the reserves run out. Very stupid, because the US is on the offensive and has a ticking timer, while Iran has no such thing.

If Trump can't get the strait open before the reserves run out, he has to effectively surrender. Of course, regardless of what happens refilling these reserves will cost a lot of money, which comes straight out of the American taxpayer's pocket.

You CANT build up forces anymore. Not in the age of cheap drones, missiles and 24/7 surveilance. Where do you want to do the build up? Iran can hit everything from Cyprus to Turkey, Israel, Diego Garcia, Turkmenistan, the complete arab states....US would need to build up somewhere in Madagaskar or Australia and do an amphibious landing with 10,000 landing ships. Which would take years to build and even then a lot of ships would get hit with anti-ship missiles. The ager of big buildups and concentrated ground-forces is over.

You may be right.
The sad reality for the US is that their stonks are more or less empty while Irans are fully restocked (and probably to a higher level than before February).

I also think that the entire initial phase has been use to track US movements.

Senator Lindsey Graham held one final phone call with President Trump before his death, discussing Ukraine, a Russia sanctions bill, and possible new U.S. strikes on Iran.

After the call, Graham told someone he wasn't feeling well but planned to seek medical attention after his scheduled Sunday TV appearance.

He reportedly joked, "I can't die now. I still need to do the Russia sanctions, get Iran sorted out and do Israeli-Saudi normalization."

He died several hours later.

>What is the larger strategy here, and are the current US targets part of a larger campaign, or simply just "bombing to bomb"?
Initially the US goal was to neutralize Iran's leadership and then color revolution them. That didn't work, Iran closed the strait, and since then the US goal has been to reopen it. The way they think they should do it is to degrade Iran's ability to strike ships transiting the strait enough that Iran has no say in the matter, the US parks a few destroyers there for the odd missile or drone launched and that's it (note however that this is still them trying to claw back something after failing their real objective). How they do that they don't know themselves. They throw ordnance at Iran and hope that they destroy enough that Iran can't replace them and that they do so before the petroleum reserves run dry. Hasn't worked until now, unlikely to work in the near future.

The problem are the reserves: that's a ticking clock for the US, if it reaches zero the US has to accept Iran's terms and surrender, losing the region and a massive amount of power projection (potentially its status as world hegemon should the petrodollar collapse with it). As that ticks closer to zero they will get increasingly desperate, but the problem is that ordnance stockpile replenishment takes much much longer than reserve depletion. As the clock gets closer to zero they will attempt boots on the ground to secure transit in the strait, but if that fails (and it's almost guaranteed it will) then I think Trump would go as far as deploying nuclear weapons. However what Trump wants and what the military (and US governing apparatus as a whole) are two different things and the odds of him being allowed to use nuclear weapons is very low (but not zero).

Iraqi oil fields are owned by the government of Iraq, but they hire mainly foreign contractors to run the fields which is mostly done by China and Russia.
How we get involved is that all the money from the sales of Iraqi oil goes to us first, and then we give it to the Iraqi government in pieces.
What you say about the oil origin laundering is probably true. Otherwise our reserves and inventories wouldn't have depleted so much so fast.

>Israel had a problem, and Germany had a solution. Israel needs more manufacturing capacity for Iron Dome components. Volkswagen, having failed to establish itself as a leader in electric vehicles and bleeding market share to Chinese imports, has capacity to spare. So the two problems found each other: Volkswagen’s management board green-lit converting a production line to defense manufacturing under a deal with Israel’s Rafael, saving thousands of German jobs in the process. A win-win.

>Until the Qataris intervened and sank the deal.

>Why do the Qataris have a say in what German factories build? Because, according to Bild, the Qatari sovereign wealth fund holds 10.4 percent of Volkswagen’s shares and 17 percent of its voting rights—and it vetoed the deal for one reason: the company slated to manufacture at the plant is Israeli. Qatar spent years funding Israel’s enemies and is now spending its equity blocking Israel from intercepting the missiles it paid for.

Qatar cock blocking Israel.

Israel wants no competition in buying off politicians and institutions.

This is performative right? These 2 men didn't actually like each other let alone develop anything resembling friendship

If the current narrative is anything to go by this was an accidnetal death caused by a Russian airstrike which is hilarious

They're now trying to leverage it cause why let a perfectly convenient death go to waste but my god, it's all just so fake and gay

this centcom post is weird as fuck, the operative phrase is "zero reports"

so there might be death but undisclosed ones, not known ones, not proper troops or special forces

"no troops died" versus "zero reports" sound similar but are very very different
it is extreme weasel wording and hierarchical

>So the question still remains... Is there any actual strategy behind these strikes, or are we just continuing to employ the same bombing campaign that has repeatedly failed to produce any results throughout the entirety of this war?
The current strategy is to hope that Iran is weaker than it looks and collapses. Ideally the collapse would be from people rising up to overthrow Iran. Thus bombing random schools and infrastructure and why this all started with an assassination.
That's basically the extent of our victory conditions without putting boots on the ground and manually clearing out every single bunker they have. So long as a single IRGC member has access to a handful of drones or missiles that can reach the straight they can keep the entire strait closed indefinitely and that's all Iran needs to do to win. That IRGC member doesn't even necessarily require a functioning Iran to exist.
Keep in mind that these are desert Muslims that are hardened against death. Their men are men and their women are women. They have faith and conviction. They know that giving up and surrendering is tantamount to death. They've seen what happens to other countries in the Middle East. They know they'll be put in the hands of Israel. They won't ever give up.

Iran lost. These retards can only strike bases that were emptied in advance. How about a little bit of creativity? Like hitting a target that the US doesn't expect to get hit, for example a base in Turkey or some other country than the Gulf.
