>The EU strictly mandates that all newly registered cars and vans include an integrated, driver-facing infrared camera. As of July 7, 2026, this feature became a legal requirement
Haha wtf is going on in Europe?
>>
>>538847657
>disconnect camera
>uhm they'll stop the car turning on
>attach silly little computer that plays footage on a loop
kek
>>
The US passed an identical law 5 years ago
>>
>>538847657
It's going to have the same treatement than the camera on my laptop.
>>
>>538850260
NHTSA suspended that months ago, correctly pointing out that the technology doesn't work and is a stupid idea to start with

Hilarious but unsurprising that you commies are plunging ahead

>infrared
What in the hell
>>
>>538847657
Nobody in Europe can afford new car prices anyway.
An imported Chrysler Pacifica that sells for $60k USD (already absurd) is 75k€ here.
So, not my problem.
>>
>>538850408
You WILL be watched at all times.
Front facing camera phones.
Ring cameras on your door.
Infrared cameras on your TV and Playstation and Xbox.
Now in your car.
There will be no freedom from surveillance.
>>
It's all preparation for the upcoming AI surveillance police state
And you VILL love it!
>>
>>538847657
so now car insurance in europe will be 60% cheaper than car insurance in america as opposed to the status quo of 40% cheaper.
>>
>>538847657
Every distraction will induce a fine.
Every fine will eventually add up.
Eventually poor people will no longer be able to afford to drive.
It is a method to stop vehicles from being driven.

It is a control measure that only the wealthy will have a form of travel because they can afford the fines.

You are not paying close enough attention.

Anything that is tested in Europe is instituted in America 2 years later.

what do you think all those data centers you're building will be used for?

Can I just tape the lens or something?

Driver aids made economy shitboxes start at €50.000, old cars aren't allowed anymore because CO2 so the poors are no longer on the road. based.

Driver attention cameras are conditioning drivers to ignore cyclists, as turning your head to track a cylist results in incessant beeping. Conditioning drivers to run through cyclists is also based.

Driver distraction cameras are in many american cars too, and america has no regulation on what the data can be used for. General Motors got caught selling data of their own customers to insurers, who then used the data as a reason to jack up insurance rates on customers. Effectively GM customers paid extra for cameras, GM sold the data to those customers insurers, those insurers jacked up insurance rates.

These cameras will of course be used to make europeans lives more miserable, but in america they already are.

America often does these head fakes and Europe falls for it every single time.

>Drive a golden era honda I have perfected over years of owning it. Never beeps at me, never tells me how to drive, never films me.
New cars are a meme. Theres a reason why 2020s second hand cars are the same price as a 1999 Toyota.

Sure, go through it all. Analyze millions of hours of footage.
>women shouldn't drive
>non-whites shouldn't drive
saved you the effort
>>
>>538853725
No, we only make the world's best cars and export them to burgerstan for precious dollarinos
>>
>>538850788
Why would car insurance lower their prices? You stoopid? Line only goes up
>>
>>538850382
It's a common theme with the EU regulations; something doesn't work in America? Nah we'll find a way to make it work. Then it doesn't work and we're stuck with the legislation cause reversing it would be too costly.
Wait till Macron replaces Von der la hyène then get ready for some funny shit.
>>
It's all so tiresome.
>>
>>538853826
Analyzing footage isn't a problem anymore boomer, what do you think the data centers are for?
Enjoy living in a fucking panopticon where your own car will make you submit out of fear of being potentially watched by it at all times.
>>
>>538847657
>Haha wtf is going on in Europe?
Same thing that's happening everywhere. Governments are slowly and quietly increasing surveillance and control. Boiling the frog. You as a Canadian should know this.
>>
>>538850286
lol'd. retard. Both your laptop camera and this ADAS camera can easily see through tape. You can buy HDPE covers for laptop cameras, I suggest you invest in one.

The ADAS cameras can be turned off quite easily using an openpilot based system (FOSS driverless software), but simply covering them will trigger warnings and maybe stop the engine from turning over.

The powers that be have a new system that has been in the development for decades now, ready to be rolled out in the coming years. It will operate in parallel starting sometime this year and by the next decade it will be fully operational as the Agenda 2030 goals are slowly being implemented.
There will be no collapse, no violence, no uprising, no world war, no draft, no revolution, no killing of jews or politicians or other such fantasies. Instead there will be law & order, compliance and total surveillance until the very end. AI will be at the center of it all.

The Great Reset is inevitable.

Very, very much THIS.

Are they going to confiscate all the cars made before today because they don't have this technology?

dont worry we already have a hack to comfortably sleep on the wheels without getting caught. no technology will stop me from taking a good nap while driving.

My guess is force it through via insurance companies.
Still not getting it, will simply park my Hilux in a cargo container and go back to neethood.
