He ruined his own life to expose government mass surveillance program thinking that he will make the world a better place but instead government surveillance got worse and private companies like Palantir, Flock and NSO group started doing it as a service meanwhile most people don't care and only a tiny but loud minority care about this invasion privacy while majority say that they have nothing to hide.

He revealed the ugliest truth of humanity. We deserve it.

he basically exposed the problem with democracy. the average NPC doesnt care about any of this shit. this is why we should restrict voting to as few people as possible, and only smart ones

this guy and assange were put in quasi concentration camps of the 21st century for political no no and thats how the entire whistleblowing "movement" died.

rebellion in the 21st century is one loss after the other. if you look outside of the west its even worse. people are just removed. ooops looks like he did a little suicide in prison.

all opposition is controlled and thus fake. real opposition is blown to smithereens instantly. the people are powerless to the machine
>>
>>538857788
What the fuck doesn that have to do with the post? You think there wouldnt be mass surveillance and in a dictatorship?
>>
You think these companies wouldnt exist if "the people" said they didnt want it? In no other context do you think the voters get what they voted for. This thread is horseshit. Its blaming everyone for the actions of a few people instead of blaming the people that are doing it.
>>
>>538856630
Now the EU is just publicly doing this shit. Full totalitarianism is where we already are. But it will still get worse. The government does anything to keep the pretense of normality, but they will be more open as they monopolise more power (since there is less accountability).
>>
>>538859858
Yes, if there was a huge backslash against mass surveillance it would be illegal for such companies to exist. Most people are not against mass surveillance DigitaID and scanning of private message and if someone says that they are against it they react by accusing them of being a pedo.

LulzSec already put the prism stuff out there but the media totally ignored it. I really like Assange he was just a nerd who loves anime and japs. Assange really saved his life too
>>
>>538859725
The point he was making was that democracy is pretty terrible at correcting wrongs. At least with a dictatorship, people would kill their corrupt leaders instead of voot them out and give them cushy thinktank jobs

He had an impact. Thanks Snowden. If only there was more like him.

He did a good thing and we all suspected it anyway when we were having niche conversations with our friends and then adverts were popping up on our phones. We are all very aware of what we are doing and we know the governments won't stop so we just put up with it for the convenience of tech.

Who exactly was everyone supposed to vote for to end mass surveillance?
>>
>>538859725
Monarchies tend to have less surveillance that modern democracies.
>>
>>538861292
that's exactly the issue. Democracy promises to avoid situations like this by letting the people govern themselves. What ends up happening is that everything bogs down with paperwork and you get the surveillance anyways kek

There has been huge backlash against mass migration for decades, half a century in the US. Never once has it even slowed down. There has been huge backlash over debanking from every political direction for over a decade. visa and mastercard are still de facto supranational censorship agencies. There has been huge backlash against subservience to israel since the Gaza shit. Our governments grovel before them more shamelessly now than ever before. There has been huge backlash against the aishit/digital ID dystopia. They are moving forward full steam ahead.
The only thing that people got mad at that even sort of declined as a result was niggertranny worship in media. Which only even started in the first place as a way of derailing the huge backlash against banks. And it hasn't even gone away. There's just a handful of "based" things (still made by jews) that are allowed through as well.
Popular will has had less than no influence on policy for basically all of living memory. The people wanting something makes it less likely that it will happen.
>>
>>538861726

You are wrong rhere was never a huge backslash against any of those things it was always a small but loud minority.

Everyone in this thread should listen to Yanis Varoufakis.
Democracy never existed in the west.
If you think it did you fell for a psyop.
Modern western society was not even remotely built on the democracy, but on the Magna Carta. It merely wore democracy as a skinsuit to placate the masses.

Fact of the matter is, capitalism is diametrically opposed to democracy, because capitalism is private ownership and democracy is shared ownership. Communism and socialism are the democratic ideologies.

The west practiced liberalism, the belief that man should have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of property (John Locke). The 'man' in question applies exclusively to rich white noblemen and not poor peasants or foreigners, who were fair game to be enslaved.

That's why liberalism is also inherently diametrically opposed to democracy, because the demos in its original conception referred almost exclusively to the poor masses.

The conception of a liberal democracy did not arise until global trade created a new wealthy merchant class, whose economic power challenged that of the original traditional kings and lords. Many lords became part of this merchant class through their now-commodified land (which reared sheep for lucrative global trade), and it is they whom demanded democratic powers from the king in a magna carta type way.

So you see a liberal democracy does not and has never applied to the rights of the poor masses, but the rights of the landed gentry.

It's all in the book "Talking to my Daughter A Brief History of Capitalism" by Varoufakis.

When jewry is removed from power and its feds are in guantanamo like conditions for the rest of their lives statues of this guy will be made.

It wasn’t in vain, his act was the first stages of rebellion against this tyranny.

‘Democracy’ always leads to plutocracy. In fact it was designed as such by oligarchs. All the rich have to do is take control of ‘free media’ and monopolize information, then they consolidate power by bribery of politicians and finally pedophile and murder blackmail rings to maintain permanent leverage over the ‘democracy’

The same shit happened on ancient times during roman republic, athens etc.

You prevent shit like capitalism and its soulless anti white jewish control system with a robust aristocracy and royal family, or a conscientious benevolent dictator.

True. Gov mass surveilance and mass spying must be exposed. Any HONEST person would do it.
> instead government surveillance got worse
That's coincidental.

>and private companies like Palantir, Flock and NSO group started doing it as a service
They were doing before as well, since Patriot act 1.0 after 9/11/2001 .

>meanwhile most people don't care
Nice spin , VPN glowie. Most people actually DO CARE about your spying and mass surveilance , boomers even believe they live in freedom and there is no spying how cute.

>while majority say that they have nothing to hide.
Your usual bulllshit glowie spin. We have US constitution, and state Constitutions, buddy glowie on VPN.
>>
>>538862805
Anything without rigorous checks and balances tends to a plutocracy.
The US was in reality a plutocracy/oligarchy for most of its existence and yet never had been a democracy either.
>>
>>538860648
>, if there was a huge backslash against mass surveillance it would be illegal
Your usual glowie bullshit.
Bush and CIA pushed total mass surveilance when 9/11 happened, and it was passed then,
it's called anti-patriot Patriot Act 1.0 .
After that Obama signed Patriot act 2.0 to continue mass spying and mass surveillance.
This mass spying and mass surveillance was NEVER ACTUALLY VOTED by the people, it was pushed by glowies as bullshit "necessary measures".
>>
>>538856630
Yea but desu the result was what I expected - nothing. Normies don't care about rights or privacy as long as they have food and NFL sports ball and some drugs.
>>

>>
>>538856630
Same with the Epstein files. When a conspiracy theory isn't proven, normies will call you insane for believing it, but when it is proven they'll call you insane for caring about it. The jews are mostly correct in calling others cattle.
>>
>>538861336

Wholly crap fantasies.
The largest police and total surveillance state is the monarchy - Britain.
It probably has the most surveillance cameras everywhere.

>Fact of the matter is, capitalism is diametrically opposed to democracy,
> because capitalism is private ownership and democracy is shared ownership.
>Communism and socialism are the democratic ideologies.
All of this is correct.
UK and USA have AN OLIGARCHY.
A class of extremely rich people who own all assets.
In UK same 200 families rule everything for 200 years , for instance.

The way the OLIGARCHY is designed is the rich oligarchs and their kids and grand kids own everything,
and you will never make it.
While we had a very brief very rich period when boomers had the best economy ever. and a random boomer could become very rich.
This economy is currently over imho .
>>
>>538862864
Yeah well that specific point from Talking To My Daughter is more relevant to the concept of democracy being mistakenly bandied about ITT.
People keep conflating capitalism and liberalism with democracy when the former are both diametrically opposed to the latter, and the latter has never existed in any meaningful way shape or form in the western world.
>>
>>538863354
Today's Britain is a democracy. The king is mostly a figure head. Compare the Tsar's Russia to the Bolshevik Soviet Union for a better example.
>>
>>538856630
His sacrifice will be the light of others, he is based.
>>538857788
The smart ones are the ones who want the mass surveilance you dummy.

Nobody cared about anything he said; that's why we deserve to be spied on constantly.
>>
>>538863451
>he's a Russian op not a whistleblower.
And Julian assange was an Equador op, or a british op???
What an idiotic claim to make .
Some country may or may not decide to provide a person a political asylum from political prosecution.
USA is providing asylum from political prosecution to MILLIONS of people btw.
>>
>>538856630
Yes, that is what happening when you don’t assess the reality correct. The guy is not high iq.
>>
>>538863626
No, just as in the past, Britain is a monarchy.
The king runs everything.
Parliament has very little power, only maybe on some local laws.
The same 200 families rule UK for 200 years.
>>
>>538857788
Democracy also includes voting with your feet, protesting, getting together and talking in groups that include the perpetrators of anti democracy ideas, and ultimately with weapons.

Corporations have beaten down your average citizen to have massive distrust in democracy so they can control the world.

Just for a minute have some critical thinking skills to actually understand that we have had people pick apart and direct the concept of democracy for thousands of years, and all of a sudden it doesn't work? Are your initials PT btw? Do you have butt sex with men?
>>
>>538862805
this is why China is gonna win in the end. they have a much better governance system. the whole CCP is run like a corporation and so much more efficient. they're willing to kill their own companies (ever grande) to save their industries

The problem woth him that he was an idiot at the beginning believing that govern doesn‘t spy on anyone until he really witnessed it with his own eyes. Any smart person wouldn‘t be surprised.
>>
>>538863928
I mean.
USA and UK and Nato had Five Eyes.
So UK was spying on US citizens,
while americans were spying on british ones, and then they exchanged spying data.
And that's how they used to avoid constitution and US laws in the past.
Then when they passed Patriot act , they passed a law where they really didn't need any probable cause to do spying on americans.

>Any smart person wouldn‘t be surprised.
Any smart honest person who studied in a good schools would expect glowies to abide by the law,
not say fck the law lets do total spying and total mass surveillance.
I think when every windows computer, every smartphone, every laptop, every AI speaker, every ring video camera etc
is spying on everyone -
This may be a little EXCESSIVE SPYING .

The powers that be have a new system that has been in the development for decades now, ready to be rolled out in the coming years. It will operate in parallel starting sometime this year and by the next decade it will be fully operational as the Agenda 2030 goals are slowly being implemented.
There will be no collapse, no violence, no uprising, no world war, no draft, no revolution, no killing of jews or politicians or other such fantasies. Instead there will be law & order, compliance and total surveillance until the very end. AI will be at the center of it all.

The Great Reset is inevitable.
