A Ukrainian drone attack overnight killed a woman and injured two men in Russia's southern Belgorod region, local authorities reported on Monday.

An explosive device dropped from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) struck a private residence in the village of Berezovka, killing a woman at the scene, according to a statement from the regional operational headquarters.

In a separate strike in the village of Krinichnoye, a first-person view (FPV) drone detonated, wounding two men. The victims sustained blast and shrapnel injuries and were transferred to medical facilities in the regional capital of Belgorod for specialized treatment.

The Belgorod region, which shares a border with Ukraine, has been a frequent target of drone and artillery strikes over the course of the ongoing conflict.

The Russian Defense Ministry claimed Monday that it intercepted a massive swarm of 342 Ukrainian drones overnight, though the military's official summary notably omitted a southern region where a successful strike set an oil depot ablaze.

Russian air defenses purportedly destroyed the fixed-wing drones between 8 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. Monday, according to the ministry. The sweeping barrage reportedly targeted more than a dozen Russian regions, including the area surrounding the capital, alongside the annexed Crimean Peninsula and the waters of the Azov and Black seas.

However, the military conspicuously left the Stavropol region off its list of targeted areas. In the Stavropol village of Vyazniki, a drone strike ignited a major fire at an industrial oil depot. The region's governor, Vladimir Vladimirov, publicly confirmed the attack, which marks the second time in less than a week that a fuel facility in the small settlement has been set alight by Ukrainian drones.

Russian morning strikes on Ukraine's southern Kherson region have left one woman dead and at least two others severely injured, local officials say.

A 68-year-old woman was killed when Russian artillery shelled the village of Novovorontsovka at approximately 05:00 local time on Monday, according to the Kherson Regional Military Administration.

Later in the morning, Russian drones targeted the Korabelnyi district of the regional capital, Kherson. At around 07:50, a drone struck a local shop, injuring a 23-year-old sales assistant. She was taken to hospital in moderate condition suffering from shrapnel wounds to the back, a concussion, and a head injury.

In a separate drone attack in the same district at 08:30, a 47-year-old municipal worker sustained an open leg fracture and arm injuries while travelling in a utility vehicle. He has been hospitalised for further treatment.

Regional authorities also confirmed on Monday that a 77-year-old woman had succumbed to injuries sustained during a previous Russian bombardment of the Korabelnyi district on 11 July.

The latest casualties come amid a sustained campaign of drone and artillery strikes across the region, which has seen 18 people injured over the past 24 hours alone, according to the regional governor, Oleksandr Prokudin.

Russian security forces have thwarted a sophisticated Ukrainian plot to launch drone strikes against two strategic military airfields deep inside Russia, the Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Monday.

The intelligence agency stated it arrested multiple operatives who were assembling 24 advanced first-person view (FPV) drones in rented garages near the Ukrainka airbase in the Far Eastern Amur region and the Shagol airbase in the Ural mountains.

According to the FSB, the weapons were initially smuggled across the border into the Bryansk region via aerostats and fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles dropping sealed containers. From there, sleeper cells allegedly transported the drones thousands of miles across the country in passenger cars towing trailers equipped with false bottoms.

Video footage released by the agency shows heavily armed tactical teams raiding a cluttered garage at night, pinning a suspect to the ground amid scattered drone components. Additional official video displays rows of seized drones equipped with Western-made satellite uplinks and specialized payloads, including fragmentation ball bearings, incendiary compositions, and explosively formed penetrators.

In an intercepted audio recording also published by the FSB, two alleged operatives can be heard discussing the logistics of picking up the "package" and meticulously spacing the active drones "one meter apart" inside a rented safe house to prevent signal interference.

The seized aircraft were fitted with advanced neural network modules—which the FSB claims were manufactured in the U.S., UK, Canada, and Sweden—designed to resist Russian electronic warfare jamming.

Russian authorities claimed the foiled plot is part of a broader campaign of sabotage orchestrated by Kyiv, linking the arrests to recent thwarted attacks on the Rostov-Central airfield and alleged assassination plots against two senior Defense Ministry officials in Moscow.

The cross-country smuggling tactic mirrors Ukraine's highly successful "Operation Spiderweb" in June 2025. During that offensive, Ukrainian forces utilized drones launched from concealed truck containers behind Russian lines to damage or destroy 21 strategic aircraft, including four Tu-95 nuclear bombers at the Arctic Olenya airbase.

A Russian missile and drone barrage struck civilian infrastructure in the southern Ukrainian region of Odesa on Monday, injuring at least five people, including a 5-year-old child, local officials said.

The morning attack ignited a severe fire at a municipal auto depot, destroying six buses and damaging 17 other vehicles, according to Oleh Kiper, the head of the Odesa regional military administration. A nearby health sanatorium was also struck, causing structural damage to the facility. First responders remain at both scenes to clear the debris.

The injury toll, initially reported as four, was later updated by Ukrainian authorities to five, noting that the young child was treated for lacerations without requiring hospitalization.

The strikes on Odesa follow a weekend of intensive bombardments on the nearby port city of Chornomorsk. Russia’s Defense Ministry claimed Monday that its forces had successfully targeted "port infrastructure facilities" in Chornomorsk used for storing "military cargo and fuels."

However, independent assessments and corporate statements indicate the strikes severely damaged civilian agricultural export hubs. Kernel, Ukraine's largest agricultural producer, reported on Monday that the weekend attacks on Chornomorsk forced the suspension of its terminal operations, destroying grain silos and resulting in the loss of roughly 45,000 tons of wheat and 9,000 tons of sunflower oil destined for international markets.

Russian security services have detained and fined at least two civilians in the Siberian city of Omsk for filming and sharing footage of a historic Ukrainian drone strike on a major oil refinery, warning the public that such actions could be prosecuted as high treason.

The regional directorate of the Federal Security Service (FSB) released a video on Monday featuring two local residents—a man and a woman, their faces digitally obscured—repenting for their actions.

"On the 6th, while at home, I looked out the window and saw drones flying towards our oil plant," the detained man said in the FSB-published footage. "I took my phone, filmed a video, and uploaded it to the internet. I did not think this video would end up with the Armed Forces of Ukraine."

The detained woman similarly confessed to posting information about the explosion at the facility, adding that she deeply regrets the decision.

Irina Rusnak, the official spokesperson for the Omsk FSB, told the Russian outlet RBC that while only two administrative protocols have been filed so far, authorities are actively hunting for other individuals who uploaded footage of the July 6 attack. In an official video statement, Rusnak delivered a stark warning to the public.

"The collection and transfer to a foreign party of information capable of causing damage to the security of Russia can be qualified as high treason, and carry a penalty of up to 20 years in prison," Rusnak stated.

The unprecedented July 6 strike marked a significant escalation in the conflict, as Ukrainian drones managed to penetrate roughly 2,500 kilometers (1,550 miles) into Russian airspace to hit the Gazprom Neft Omsk Oil Refinery, the largest facility of its kind in the country.

While regional governor Vitaly Khotsenko initially confirmed a drone hit in Omsk's "northern industrial hub," he refrained from naming the specific plant. However, international media, including Reuters, cited industry sources verifying that the Omsk refinery was forced to suspend critical operations after the strike severely damaged primary oil refining units.

If you do the maths on the efficiency of the pidor offensive, we are now back to the halcyon days of Q1 2024. Whatever pidors did to improve their offensive has been hard countered by the AFU in Q2 26.
The AFU are extracting a price of nearly 500 killed and wounded pidors per square kilometre withdrawn in June and July.

Fag packet maffs suggests:
Rest of Donetsk = 2.65M pidors
Annual recruitment rate is 400k~
So 7 more years for occupation of Donetsk with generous assumptions and caveats

At 2024-25 pace it looked like the AFU would withdraw by 2028. Now it's 2033.

A devastating overnight Russian drone strike on a residential neighbourhood in the southern Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia has left two people dead and 11 others wounded, local authorities confirmed on Monday.

Rescuers working through the smouldering wreckage of a multi-storey apartment block recovered the bodies of two victims after a loitering munition slammed into the building late on Sunday night, sparking a massive blaze that engulfed several floors and caused the roof to partially collapse.

"Unfortunately, two people died: rescuers recovered two bodies from under the rubble of a house destroyed by a Russian drone in Zaporizhzhia," said Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration.

Among the 11 wounded are a 41-year-old woman and a 15-year-old boy, both of whom are fighting for their lives in a local hospital. According to local reports, the mother and son were forced to jump from a fourth-floor window to escape the encroaching flames, sustaining severe fractures.

The blast wave from the Shahed-type drone also caused widespread destruction across the district, damaging at least 11 other residential buildings and blowing out the windows of a nearby municipal hospital. The strike adds to the staggering toll on the city's civilians; according to Fedorov, local medical facilities are currently treating 71 victims of recent Russian bombardments, ranging in age from five to 91.

A Russian airstrike on Monday struck a Togo-flagged commercial cargo ship unloading fertilizer at a port in Ukraine's southern Odesa region, killing three crew members and wounding at least seven others, Ukrainian officials said.

The projectile hit the vessel's superstructure while it was moored at the Black Sea port of Chornomorsk, sparking a fire. The victims included citizens of Egypt and Syria, according to local authorities.

"As a result of enemy shelling... port infrastructure was damaged," Oleh Kiper, the regional governor of Odesa, said in a statement. While he initially reported five injured, authorities later updated the casualty toll to seven wounded alongside the three fatalities. All the victims were crew members of the foreign vessel.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated earlier on Monday that its forces had successfully struck "port infrastructure facilities in Chornomorsk," claiming the sites were being used "for unloading and storing military cargo and fuels and lubricants."

However, Ukrainian officials stressed that the targeted ship was strictly a civilian vessel carrying mineral fertilizers, accusing Moscow of deliberately endangering international maritime navigation.

The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that a follow-up airstrike targeted the Odesa region later in the morning.

The United Kingdom, in its first-ever joint cyber sanctions package with the European Union, announced measures on Monday targeting a sprawling network of Russian intelligence operatives, cybercriminals, and a state-funded media organization accused of global disinformation.

The UK designated 24 individuals and entities, including senior figures within Russia's military intelligence agency (GRU) and the operators of a prominent pro-war Telegram channel known as "Rybar".

British authorities sanctioned GRU senior leaders Vyacheslav Stafeyev, Ivan Senin, and Ivan Kasyanenko for directing cyber and hybrid threat operations. The sanctions also targeted a Russian limited liability company, OOO IMPULS, which allegedly worked with the notorious GRU Unit 29155 to recruit hackers and cyber specialists from Russian universities.

A major focus of the package is Rybar LLC, a high-profile Russian military blogging network. The UK sanctioned 10 individuals linked to Rybar, including its directors, senior management, and content designers. According to the UK Foreign Office, Rybar is a state-resourced media company responsible for spreading false narratives about Ukraine and actively interfering in European elections, notably in Moldova and Armenia.

Rybar’s CEO and co-founder, Mikhail Zvinchuk, a former Russian Defense Ministry press officer, alongside the channel itself, were previously sanctioned by the UK in December 2025. British intelligence assesses that the network is coordinated by the Russian Presidential Administration and receives direct backing from the state-owned defense conglomerate Rostec. In late 2024, the U.S. State Department's Rewards for Justice program offered a $10 million reward for information regarding Rybar's operations, citing its efforts to meddle in the U.S. presidential election.

The UK also sanctioned individuals operating "Lumma Stealer," a malware platform utilized to harvest sensitive credentials from compromised devices globally to support the Kremlin's espionage objectives.

In tandem with the sanctions, the UK and the EU formally attributed a malicious cyberattack on Poland's energy grid to the Russian Federal Security Service's (FSB) Centre 16. While the attack ultimately failed, British authorities stated it was a "reckless" operation that could have cut off electricity to 500,000 citizens during the depths of winter.

"From directing criminals to targeting businesses, and striking Poland’s energy grid in the depths of winter, the Russian state is sinking to new lows in its attempts to undermine European security," British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said in a statement.

daily reminder ukraine has no chance

Russia is planning a network of hundreds small, well-secured "micro-refineries" (mini-NPZ) across the country.

https://caspianpost.com/energy/putin-backs-small-refinery-expansion-across-russia-amid-ukraine-strikes

Amid repeated Ukrainian drone strikes, Putin on July 8, 2026, endorsed building dispersed small refineries. The goal is full regional fuel independence and full resilience in circumstances of war.

Russia has proven domestic capability, manufacturing modular refineries via firms like HMS Neftemash and REOTEK, backed by 30+ years of experience and rapid weeks-long installation.

Also China dominates the global modular refinery market as the worlds leading manufacturer. Companies like PCC export units (200-10,000+ bpd) with factory pre-assembly ensuring rapid transport and on-site installation in days.

These mini refineries can be hidden under shelters, like protective walls and dispersed in such a way to create untouchable modern net of modular installations

If an insanely worn down Russia can't even field mobiks with more than shovels for weapons that march on foot in penguin suits then what hope do they have on fielding a million more troops? This isn't the soviet union and their weapon factories are not robust enough to make much more than drones, artillery ammo and missiles.

The European Union rolled out a new barrage of sanctions on Monday, zeroing in on the architects of Russia’s sprawling domestic surveillance apparatus and the commanders of a notorious penal colony where Ukrainian prisoners are systematically tortured.

In a legal decree published in the EU's Official Journal on July 13, the Council of the EU blacklisted 11 individuals and five entities under its human rights sanctions regime.

The bloc took direct aim at Russia's tech sector, sanctioning the internet giant VK and its subsidiary, Communication Platform LLC. The subsidiary is the developer of "Max," a state-backed national messenger app. According to the EU Council document, the app was developed under the direct supervision of the FSB intelligence agency. It features extensive surveillance capabilities, including the ability to secretly monitor virtual private networks (VPNs), harvest address books, track user geolocation, and install autonomous updates. EU authorities accuse VK of cooperating with the Kremlin's crackdown by handing over the data of users who posted anti-war content. Elena Bagudina, the CEO of the subsidiary, was personally sanctioned.

Brussels also cracked down on the corporate enablers of SORM—Russia’s ubiquitous "System of Operative Investigative Measures". Three major hardware and software suppliers—VAS Experts, Norsi-Trans, and LLC Citadel—were slapped with asset freezes, alongside their respective executives: Dmitry Gachko, Sergey Ovchinnikov, and Mikhail Fomin. The SORM infrastructure legally forces internet providers to install equipment that provides the FSB with a backdoor into all telecommunications, allowing them to vacuum up phone calls, emails, and internet traffic to target journalists, anti-war activists, and the democratic opposition.

Beyond the digital sphere, the EU's latest package targets the grim reality of Russia's penal system. The Council sanctioned seven officials running Penal Colony No. 10 (IK-10) in the village of Udarny, Mordovia, where hundreds of Ukrainian prisoners of war and abducted civilians are held in a legal black hole.

The penal colony's warden, Alexander Gnutov, five of his deputies, and the head of the medical unit, Galina Mokshanova, were all added to the sanctions list. According to the EU decree, detainees at IK-10 are subjected to horrific abuses, including electric shocks, mock executions, sexual violence, and stress positions explicitly designed to cause trophic ulcers, alongside the systematic denial of medical care.

"The Union remains unwavering in its condemnation of the human rights violations and repressions in Russia," the Council stated in the preamble of its official decision.

Russian opposition politician Boris Nadezhdin has been detained by police in the Moscow region, just three days after the Justice Ministry formally designated him as a "foreign agent."

In a brief message posted to his Telegram channel on Monday, the 63-year-old politician wrote, "The police came. They are taking me to the Dolgoprudny department." He provided no further details regarding the grounds for his detention, and his press service told independent media they were unaware of the specific charges.

The sudden arrest follows the Russian Justice Ministry's July 10 decision to add Nadezhdin to its restrictive registry of "foreign agents". The ministry justified the move by claiming the politician had spread "unreliable information" concerning the decisions of Russian authorities and the country's electoral system, and had allegedly participated in creating materials for "undesirable" organizations.

The detention comes less than a month after Nadezhdin announced his intention to run for a seat in the State Duma in the upcoming September elections, for which he had recently begun actively collecting signatures. Following his "foreign agent" designation on Friday, Nadezhdin stated he intended to challenge the status in court and vowed to continue his political activities, urging citizens to vote against the ruling United Russia party. Current Russian law prohibits individuals designated as "foreign agents" from running for public office.

Nadezhdin rose to prominence as a rare, legally operating anti-war voice when he attempted to run against President Vladimir Putin in the 2024 presidential election. He successfully gathered tens of thousands of signatures from supporters across the country, prompting long, visible queues that challenged the Kremlin's narrative of universal support for the war in Ukraine. However, the Central Election Commission ultimately barred him from the ballot, citing alleged irregularities in his signature lists.

I don't think they'd do it in a quick way. They would just need to thicken the current kontractnik flow to keep up with losses.
For example they're currently bringing in ~1k per day and now losing about 1.2k per day. They'd only need to mobilise 200 p/d to plug the gap which isn't that high.
I don't think the bottleneck is just equipment either for a big surge. It's also officers and training. The mobilised men are going to be fat lazy unfit civilians, and the way pidors fight involves a lot of walking which these people simply can't do without getting a stroke.

Russian police on Monday detained a prominent St. Petersburg urban rights activist and political candidate, in what appears to be part of a coordinated pre-election crackdown utilizing charges over old links to banned Western social media platforms.

Yaroslav Kostrov, founder of the local preservationist movement "Central District for a Comfortable Living Environment," announced his detention in a series of posts on the VKontakte social network.

"I was detained by the police. They brought me to the department opposite Sadovaya 67," Kostrov wrote. He added that he suspected authorities were planning to charge him with the "demonstration of extremist symbols" under Article 20.3 of the Administrative Code. "It is obvious that they want to... for these reasons not allow me to the elections? I have not published any extremism on any pages."

Kostrov had recently been nominated by the systemic opposition party A Just Russia to run for a seat in the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly this coming September. According to local media, the city's electoral commission officially certified the party's candidate list on Monday, just hours before his detention.

Under Russian electoral law, a conviction for displaying "extremist" symbols automatically disqualifies an individual from running for public office for one year.

Independent news outlets reported that Kostrov was detained for allegedly posting hyperlinks to Facebook and Instagram—platforms owned by Meta, which Russia designated as an "extremist" organization in 2022.

The strategy mirrors a recent wave of arrests targeting other local politicians and activists ahead of the September vote. On July 9, authorities detained urban defender Oleg Mukhin and Communist Party regional deputy Ivan Apostolevsky. Both men were swiftly sentenced to 10 days in a detention center under Article 20.3 for posting links to Facebook and Instagram as far back as 2018. In Mukhin's case, anti-extremism officers reportedly lured him to his arrest by posing as journalists from a state television channel requesting an interview at a crumbling historic site.

Kostrov is a well-known figure in St. Petersburg, having led campaigns against a controversial "renovation" law that would see the demolition of Soviet-era five-story apartment blocks. He has previously faced administrative hurdles in his political career; in 2024, he was disqualified from municipal elections over "copyright infringement" after he used official government sketches of a high-speed rail terminal in a social media post criticizing the project.

No handlebars, no handlebars

Look at me, look at me
Drone in the sky and it's chasing me
"Cyka, blyat!" I'm running faster
Should've packed a better battery

I can hide behind a little tree
Like somehow that's a perfect cover
I can flip a bird at the buzzing drone
Then immediately regret the bother

I can trip over my own boots twice
I can blame it on bad directions
I know every excuse by heart
But none survive close inspections

Me and my friend found an old tin can
Me and my friend called it high-tech gear
And guess how long it worked?
About three seconds... then the buzzing's here—

Kill all the fucking gays, make a deal with Russians so there is no loss of land or Russification, and then be ruled by Jews. (Ideally all the East Slavic countries should unite into one country ruled by Jews).

If you're gay, you can be a celibate gay like Jesus or you can join the church as a priest and buttfuck other priests.

Do what's best for Ukraine.

Only technically, ultimately speaking the frontline isn't moving on its own, it needs money, resources and indirect civilian support to function whether that's keeping the economy afloat or no. If they start importing fuel but give none to the citizenry then the citizens will literally rob them to get it.

Nah listen. Nobody says they will run dry. Russia will never have "0 soldier", "0 missile" or "0 fuel". That's not how it works, it's not a video game where you need to reduce the life bar of the enemy to absolute zero to win.
What matters is the price paid per action. If Russia mobilizes, it has to transport its meat half a world away (russia, you see, is very big) in a context of national shortage. Which means they will have to PAY. Which would be painful already if they were not in the middle of a recession.

>An oil depot in the village of Vyazniki in Stavropol Krai continues to burn after an overnight attack, according to an ASTRA analysis.
>As an ASTRA OSINT analyst determined from eyewitness videos, the footage, filmed from Voikova Street in Mikhaylovsk, shows smoke rising from the oil depot in the village of Vyazniki, which was attacked on the night of July 13.
>As ASTRA previously determined, the oil depot in the village of Vyazniki is burning after the attack. This is the second oil depot attacked in this village in the past week. The governor of Stavropol Krai confirmed the attack. The village of Vyazniki is administratively part of Mikhaylovsk, Shpakovsky Municipal District.

This, they might always have something, but never enough and at some point it will not be enough to do functionally accomplish anything.
The Kyiv convoy is a great example, they had fuel- until they didn't, then ti was a huge sitting duck. Imagine if that happened in the current war and there was a huge sitting convoy of mobiks waiting up in Belarus or something. Would they'd be safe? No. The smaller the fuel margins get, the likelier the scenario becomes.
