Delaware is unironically one of the more consequential states. Delaware General Corporation Law is the de facto national corporate law and the Delaware Chancery Court probably has the best developed and most trusted corpus of corporate jurisprudence in the world.

Yeah, it sucks. I grew up just across the border in Pennsylvania. People from Delaware have a weird insecurity complex with us. Their beaches are gayer and lamer than New Jersey and Maryland beaches, Wilmington and the other cities are total shit heaps, and there’s nothing of note in any way in-between. There’s really no reason for this state to exist. New Jersey should be cut in half and the top have given to Pennsylvania with the bottom half merged with Delaware.
