Why did liberalism fall? Beyond the fact that it was an ideology and ideologies are taking morality and politics which is more than just logic and treating it as a purely logical dogmatic math equation of course. Everywhere else was parroting the English speaking world, liberalism was never theirs, they did not earn it. Their mimickry became like a game of telephone and they prevented something they didn't understand. Only a israel and Japan pulled it off but they don't count because Japan is spiritually autistic and israel are fucking jews and they don't count, ever. The first major hit was the American Revolution. While Britain wasn't the villain it was pressured as in American schools, they still unintentionally sent the message that the state (or king in their case) mattered more than moral and political values. So America was the last bastion for it.The civil war was where it died in America, regardless who won, the right to self rule was sprat on. That's why Lincoln was assassinated, God didn't want either to win. Despite the continued perversion and corruption of old English values, when it was sent to the guillotine in 2020, there was a resistance, a pathetic sad one, but a resistance nonetheless. A few clueless boomers, retarded rednecks, and online weirdos said no, and no was all that unified them. In some red areas, lockdowns, vaccines, nagging karens was minimally enforced, I've personally never was forced to wear a mask.
The total global tyranny experiment was not as total as they wanted. Despite old English values switching between life support to gurgling blood and back over and over, it's not dead, and a comeback is possible. Maybe Trump is controlled by Israel, maybe we're just controlled opposition, maybe Armageddon is around the corner, but alas these glorious old English values are not dead yet. It's going to be hard, it is unlikely, but the old ways may return to the English speaking world. And that's why I support war with Canada, it'll send a message that no, it is actually moral and political values that are more important than the state. Pray that the English speaking world retvrns to glory and maybe we'll bring our East Asian allies along too, fuck the rest of Europe. Fuck France, fuck Spain, fuck Italy, fuck Germany, fuck Belgium, fuck all the Scandinavian ones... Poland, you're still cool for now.

>>538869792The only illiberal power left in the world are the Shariah-based ones. Everything else is liberal. Unless you want desert theocracy, you can either have Western liberalism or Chinese socialism (western liberalism but without human rights).

The real failure of liberalism is democracy. Democracy always fails because it always ends up in a government of lawyers who sell their offices to the highest bidders. That said, liberalism is a terrible political theory because it’s based entirely on contradictory, unjustifiable, or baseless presuppositions. When you read Locke and Rousseau you find a slew of claims that aren’t based on anything real. Take the noble savage myth for example. It’s based on nothing. There’s no evidence, no proof. It’s just an assertion that thinks we’re a certain way in a “state of nature” that nobody can prove even existed because they didn’t like the ruthlessness of Thomas Hobbes.

>>538870097We can have old traditional English values without ideology, classical liberalism is turning it into ideology. All ideologies bastardize and pervert everything by turning things of the soul into a cold math equation, trying to achieve moral heights of some at expense of another moral value, therefore inviting an opposition to destroy it. Remove the ideology, and all that's left is the traditional values. That is slowly happening already. Keep the ideology, however, you will see everything you love turn into poison.
>>538869410Because it's a purely materialistic philosophy. Take something as basic as "what is a nation?", a question so basic that it was considered implicit in everything we did in the past, broadly a nation is a group of people bound together by a shared heritage, history and culture. Given that, we can clearly mark out where a nation begins and where it ends. However, liberalism doesn't like believe in such things, those bonds restrain people and that restraint means you cannot be free. Liberalism wants to rid you of these kinds of bounds. And it has done so very successfully, you need only look at the most liberal societies and see how culturally "thin" they are. This has caused a massive fragmentation of our societies, how can we even have a society if we are all free, not just in the sense of free to chart our path, but free from the moral obligations that are expected of us. How can we have a nation when we are, effectively, a set of independent units? It's the fundamental question of our age. Fisher talks about related concepts in Capitalist Realism.

>>538870752Well yeah, that's the bastardization part of it I mentioned. Evil cannot create, only destroy, it came from something purer, English tradition did everything liberalism did without that part. We can have our cake and eat it too.
>>538871016Just take it like a good boy
>>538871074I think we can, to a degree. I think the main issue is that what we're currently living under is liberalism taken to it's logical extreme. In order to have the liberalism of old, but still have a functioning society we need to give up a little bit of freedom. We have recognise that we do have some bonds of kinship that will restrain us, but that is a good thing. That's my belief, anyway.
>>538870097I still think China is something different. I downloaded bilibili to see how they think, and despite that site apparently representing their liberal opposition, the sense of oneness was pervasive. The bug hive characterization isn't that inaccurate.
>>538871374Yes, and while we'll need to give up freedom to some extent, it'll be more than the obvious things like don't shit in public and freedom from offense, but you're still treating it like a transaction or at least others will by reading your post. Promote family, duty, and kinship and everything first and we'll surrender few liberties inherently.
