Maybe I'm stupid but I thought that's what cooling towers were for?
>>538896038>yuropoors can't into heat dispersion
>>538896038need more nigbus from africa, that will fix it
>>538896461>Amerifats can't into environmental protection
they could have built those near atlantic coast, where the water temp never exceeds 25 degrees
>>538896443How are you supposed to cool down water when the air temperature is 40 degrees celsius? Think, before you talk, smartass
>>538896660we dont know what celsius is retard
>>538896609>Enviromentalism>But not nuclear, because that doesnt make us enough MONEY.This is so kike coded it's unreal.
>>538896038Wouldn't simply heat pipe reactors avoid all this nonsense?
>>538896038I hope this causes a meltdown
>>538896660with evaporative coolers?never speak on thermodynamics again you lazy jeetnigger proto dalit, its no ones fault but your own you refuse to spend the money to contol the temps inside powerplants and insist on your defense of mudhut nigger thinking that this make you stronk or some other cope you faggot weak niggertrash euromonkeys post
>>538896660Maybe through evaporation facilitated by cooling towers?
>>538896038It is in fact bad to discharge extremely hot water into a river that is already too warm. You'll kill everything in the river.>>538896703Yeah, because you use your retard scale that is based on the freezing point of brine and the body temperature of a horse.
>>538896660This has to be bait
>>538896660how the fuck arabs in desert keep driving their water-cooled BMWs when it's 45 C outside?
>>538896847>>538896908
>>538896660Bait
>>538896038Cant they pump that water into peoples homes for hot showers?
Ai data centers spreading cryptosporidium is ok but warm water algae bloom is bad...
>tfw I get baited by feds into posting on /pol/ again>>538896609You see kids, we have this thing called the 'Refrigeration Cycle'. Which French scientists (sorry 'scientists' suspiciously shaped like wrinkly mcwarface, and want the country to go back to natural gas so they're being raped by Russia every winter kind of like you are, Hans) and /pol/ feds apparently never heard of.You can put more heat into the atmosphere than what the atmosphere is currently sitting at, and putting this heat into the atmosphere makes a cool spot someplace else. This is a natural part of any cooling system, and doesn't negatively impact the other system significantly at all when it's literally the atmosphere. Pumping greenhouse gasses and pollution, all of which have a heat load of their own because they're freshly burned particulates, does. You unfortunately failed 10th grade physics in our country.>>538897434Cool AI article probably sourced from reddit posts, but every single oil-fired or LNG fired plant on Earth right now, including the ones in your country that are now running overtime and the ones in France that now have to make up capacity, make almost twenty times the heat load and pollution of any equivalent nuclear plant. While producing half of the power output. Here's an actual article from real people with PhDs in the field who work at a university and not GoyGPT sourced from Wrinkly McWarface who wants to end your energy independence, and make you an eternal debt slave to Russia and American oil interests:https://ourworldindata.org/safest-sources-of-energyhttp://large.stanford.edu/courses/2019/ph241/simone2/
>>538896038AHHHHH NUCLEAR IS THE FUTURE
>>538896609and because you'll probably say the refrigeration cycle isn't real because, again, you're a fed and I just got baited into posting on the nazi watchlist board when I usually just browse /g/ or /sci/ and just happened to see your retarded fucking post on the archive.
>>538896660To do that, I just put the water in the fridge for about an hour.
>>538897434>le heckin wet bulbKys
>>538896038>3 have gone offlinewe have 57, the heat is over tomorrow. Youre obsessed with french bashing
>>538897434
>>538897434Do you care to give your own thoughts on the matter, or just rely on a machine to think for you?
>>538896038The solution is simple: import more jeets. Science supports this.
>>538896038should have listened to greta frogchuds
>>538898494Dump ice in the river to cool it down so you can discharge hot water
>>538896038HAHAHAHAHA
>>538896660You're using the failed empire unit measure.
>>538896443French here ;Newest power plant have cooling tower that are working in almost closed circuit and are not affected by thernal regulation ;All nuclear reactor works fine and the shudown is only a stupid ecology law to prevent to heat too much the water of the river to protect aquatic species ;France have almost 70% of its production with nuclear, some other means of production are hydroelectric dam, fuel, gaz, solar and wind turbine ;In summer we don't use much so we can afford to stop a few nuclear reactor ;Obviously in case of trouble all reactor would be turn on again to make electricy at the loss of a few fishes maybe ;Yes it's mostiy stupid environmental regulation but the powergrid is fine
>>538897142It's a dry heat :)
>>538898082You got baited by bots. This thread is posted every year since a few years back. It's a few plants at most or even just the one next to some low flow river. But yeah more nuclear that's actually sanely built would be good.
>>538896038Reminder: nuclear power is not real. Nuclear bombs are though. You can’t “slow down” the physics to slowly get energy out of stuff. It either goes off all at once, or it doesn’t.
>>538899427You realize the rocks in the ground are not exploding, yes?
>>538899427Oh actually we know how to do that, kinda ;EDF ( electricy of france ) is actually quiet good at load balacing with their nuclear power plant, but you are right on the principle, reaction is either ON or OFF, ans usually starting a reactor takes a few days but here is what they are doing ( roughly, not to technical ) ;A single power plant usually have multiple reactor, you can turn off some reactor to reduce the overall output ;Working reactor needs to be cooled, they are managing to almost "stall" a reactor to raeduce heat and production, so they don't have to turn them off completely and can restart them almost on demand ;When power is not needed on the network it is redirected to water pumping in our dam and many artificial lake and we use them to store power ;In case of overloads, all our nuclear reactor have independant switches and we can disconnect them to the network to cool them off and turn them off later so it doesn't mess with the load balacing
>>538896038Lmmfao
>>538896443the cooling towers are for cooling the steam exiting the turbines and also condensing the steam.
