Hey /pol/, I am having a hard time understanding what the fuck is going on with modern politics (mainly in America).We have two alleged "sides" (right and left), which allegedly stand for certain things...but really seem mostly to serve global corporate interests. While that level of corruption is expected, what bothers me is the "base" of each side.The Left is supposedly supposed to be filled with Communists or Socialists, and yet instead what I mainly see are degenerate urban people who desperately want to seem cosmopolitan? Rather than advocate for say more unions, or lefty economic things...they instead advocate for mass immigration and cringe social politics.Then on the right, you for the most part have "conservatives" who really only care about giving money to Israel and businesses. Admittedly at least on the farther right there are some people that hold actual right wing positions...like clamping down on immigration. However these positions are not reflected at all in government, and in fact most governments seem to genuinely oppose implementing these things, including supposed "Nazis" like Donald Trump.I can't tell if people are too stupid, greedy, or afraid to have opinions that aren't garden variety neo-liberalism/neo-conservatism, both of which are fucking destroying the West culturally or economically. Is there any hope? It really doesn't seem like it.The Left will get on their knees for some muslim migrant who given the opportunity will rape their family. Meanwhile the Right (despite being Nazis) will slavishly worship Israel, and insist on giving money to businesses who hate them.

Both sides are motivated by hate, their politics don't come from a place of empathy. They don't care about creating a more just society. They only care about hurting those they hate even if it means hurting themselves in the process e.g. LGBT supporting fundamentalist muslims or working class conservatives supporting billionaire corporation
