But I don't actually think Toby Fox is cynical or pessimistic enough to make it so the end of the game is basically telling you to fuck off for investing your time into it. The main conflict at the highest level is whether they can change the future that seems to be written inescapably to say that one or all of the main trio dies. In the alternate route the player gives the BPDeer the courage to unleash all her pent up hatred and angst then she takes the protagonist and tries to "run away" from her life in the town in a very murder-suicide coded scene.

I just finished chapter 1 of Deltarune earlier tonight, weird to see a thread about it on /pol/ immediately. Maybe my thoughts really do influence reality. I don't think Kris is necessarily nonbinary, you just pick if you want to be a boy or girl at the beginning. And honestly, Toby Fox's work is so White coded. White, suburban life just like Homestuck. I'm literally never going to fit in anywhere. I love all these quirky EarthBoundlike RPGs but I love my fellow Whites too much for most of the fandom and /pol/ would mostly call me a fag or loving them haha
