Why do Jeet scammers love these things so much?
>>538914638They are addicted to royal kigdom.
>>538914638The logo is the sigil of satan. They use it because its their native currency, the Hell sheckel.
>>538914638Probably so they can be used to be vastly overpriced vibe codes apps on the store with them, which they cloned and reuploaded, thereby returning the gift card money to them in cash form.Just a hunch.
>>538914638They're effectively untraceable. Once that money gets exchanged for corporate scrip, it has left the global monetary system. These scammers often also have their own apps on the app store and use the in-game purchase system to convert the scrip back into cash. How the whole deal is supposed to go is like this:>step 1: make shitty mobile "game" with in-app purchases and put it on play store>step 2: obtain gift cards via phone scam>step 3: redeem on second play account >step 4: use sockpuppet account to dump scrip into shit "game">step 5: use primary account to cash outJeet gets washed money. Google gets their cut. Scam victim left without recourse.
>>538915034That is actually a lot smarter than I'd give Jeets credit for.
>>538915117They operate as a collective. The smartest scammers pass down their knowledge.
>>538915117Mind you, a lot of these operations aren't solo actors. It's basically a cubicle farm of scamming jeets. If you play the time-waste game with these callers, they always have a few other people to pass you off to if they think you're gonna bite.
>>538915162>The smartest scammers pass down their knowledge.Well there's also a market for such things. The scammers that develop a successful method then package it as a course/turnkey business which they then sell to wannabe scammers. It's a whole conga line of scammer fucks
>>538915034thats not true, they get scanned and validated by a central servergift cards dont work until after theyve been activated
>>538916113Yeah, I was oversimplifying/exaggerating.The point is it provides a solid buffer that doesn't exist with direct bank transfers. It's a laundering system. Rather than the banks seeing "money leaves account in USA. Enters account in India." The bank sees "money spent at Walgreens in USA." Then Google sees "Gift card purchased at Walgreens in USA redeemed by India-based Google account." And that's without accounting for Jeets spoofing a US Google account or what have you. The point is that what the bank sees and what Google sees are two different things. This obfuscation is exactly what a criminal enterprise is looking for.
>>538916113>gift cards dont work until after theyve been activatedthey have been bought and activated by the person scammed deadshit
>>538917155google and the bank can trace the journey of a gift card precisely, as a payment provider they are in the same extralegal data sharing cartel as all the other banksthe point is that it causes endless corporate bureaucracy finger pointinggoogle tells you to fuck off to the bankbank tells you its not a fraudulent transaction and you should take it up with the retailerthe retailer tells you that its a valid purchase and they have no blamelike absolutely everything in the corporate world its only structured to avoid each and all liability, nothing else
>>538914638microtransactions are HUGE in india
