Attention seeking behavior has completely ruined politics. Nobody actually wants to compromise or get things done, they just want to make bumper sticker slogans for Twitter and get upvotes on reddit.

It's the population. Possibly 10 billion people living on this planet right now...it's so easy to disappear or be forgotten in a world like this. Attention is a resource and since most people live in a scarcity mindset, they feel as though there is not enough attention to go around. We are witnessing the psychological limits of humanity and it's now broken, possibly beyond repair.Look at the most damaging personality disorders which start to develop by the age of 3 in boys and 5 in girls: narcissism, borderline, antisocial personality disorder, conduct disorder, histrionic disorder...all currently increasing each generation and ALL OF THEM HAVE NO CURE. there's no 100% effective cure. The ONLY time symptoms reduce (not even go away, just reduce) is if these people somehow make it to old age.So now we're living with a population that won't even behave well or have personal regulation until they are what, 80, 90 years ago? And the lifespan length is lowering; more people dying younger which means whole lives are lived in disorder, bred in disorder, dying in disorder. Tl;dr; humanity is fucked and filled with attention whores and the only way to reduce this is to reduce the population.

I have now learned the signs of this dysregulated behavior in others, call it out to their face, and practice protective avoidance of these broken people. I don't listen to them, give them attention or fall for their schemes. These are not sane people and don't deserve my time, attention and especially sympathy. Attention whores also demand sympathy(after attention, sympathy is going to be the next resource they hunger for; 100% guaranteed "sympathy whore" will be the next term to go mainstream after these dysfunctional people wear out "attention whore")
