I'm no television or advertising executive, but if I wanted to increase the number of men interested in watching women's athletics, I probably wouldn't announce broadcast changes that give the impression men are only watching to ogle the athletes in a lecherous manner. You're going to reduce the number of men who openly converse about watching women's sports, because they’ll be fearful of being seen as perverts.
Unless all shots are head shots, the clothing worn makes it hard to not interpret anything as sexual when there's no context. I take photos at events and sometimes sports too, you cant take pics the same way as men since women have breasts, thighs, glutes, and midriff/navels, exposed.
