Can we get cheap petrol and low road taxes please? And why do so many cucks hate trucks anyway? When did europe become hatchback cuck haven
>>538943005What truck do you like?
>>538943005Pickup trucks are great. Seat five adult men (for gay activities), tow a trailer (for doing gay activities in), load the bed full of gay activity equipment, blind car cucks with our light bars. The use-cases are unlimited. Pickups are the ultimate do-it-all vehicle. Only a commie cuck would seethe at the concept of pickup truck ownership.
>>538943005These come up cherry every now and then for a decent price of $12-15k depending on mileage.
>>538943005You never want to meet your idols.
>>538943005I'll never understand the hate for American trucks and SUVs, especially when 18 wheelers still exist in Europe.
>>538943210I sincerely believe you thought this was cool and edgy as you were typing it but it really just comes off as gay.
>>538943005It's not like the truck itself is going to set you back much. But if you can't pay for gas and roadtaxes, then I guess that's irellevant.
>>538943065Lots of em.
>>538943005>When did europe become hatchback cuck haventhe 1980s now it's crossover and suv time because women
>>538943459Yeah the gas or petrol is so fucking expensive. And ofcourse they drink. We pay like 70% tax on petrol or something? Maybe moreThe purchase price isnt that crazy
>>538943005They are a nightmare to maneuver in our cities. Parking bays are too small for them. And what would I need such a behemoth for? I use my car for shopping groceries twice a week only.
>>538943828They’re not that big.Look at this beauty
>>538943005>I just want to drive a 90s american truckhere's an idea:rent one and you'll realize what a heap of shit it is to drive you'll cure yourself quick
>>538943915lmao those paper pads to collect leaking oil jfc
>>538943915It's bigger than a full size sprinter
Had some good times in this 5.9 jeep
>>538943704I like the older square bodies better, but otherwise I'm with you on almost everything.Being vintage and registred cargo such a truck wouldn't cost me that much to have. That thirst of theirs however, but I could deal with that, I'd have a daily ride anyway. It'd have to replace my Toyota Highlux for towing though. And something went awry in the document translations when the pre-mid nineties was imported here, so the American trucks official tow capacity is set ridiculously low - and it's almost impossible to get changed.
>>538943005Even with high fuel prices trucks like that are still cheaper to own than the direct injected and self-destructing garbage made today.
just buy a Camry V6 3.0 automatic?im literally on welfare and can pay for taxes, insurances and gas lol
>>538943005where did it all go so wrong
>>538943210Gay pickup owner here. Can confirm, you can do lots of gay activities in a truck. You put some of these Ontario twinks on the bed in back and they’ll take a bigger load than the truck is rated for.>>538943828Honestly this. I only saw one pickup in all of Europe and it was a Ford being used to tow a gigantic generator around. Makes sense. Euros claim to hate pickups but when they need to tow heavy shit that’s what they get, whether American or not.
>>538944356Whenever shareholders got involved. There's only a few ways something like a wet belt system could be invented without everyone involved being fired.

>>538944343That a good car sure. Is it 90s or 2000s. But it aint a truck my friend.Atm’s fit in the back of trucks, hans or achmed

>>538944490Dodge rams are really unreasonably popular hereThey are exclusively used as fashion accessories but I do appreciate the v8 sounds
>>538943005Love my chebby truck me.
>>538945222But it's not my favorite ride, I enjoy this much more.
>>538943005I love my 96 dodge ram 1500. I keep her running like a champ. Gets about 9 miles per gallon. No joke.
>>538943915Chevrolet is a jewish company, so is Dodge.
>>538943828>we don't do that in Germany

>>538945262I like this one
Annual road tax on a pickup truck in Belgium is €129. Convert it to LPG for €0.65/l. Know a few guys who drive V8 american trucks. But they are garbage to drive so idk why you'd want to jump through hoops to get one. You should probably migrate here anyway because its not 1.4 million for a rat infested leaking crackhouse (yet)
>>538943915That’s a nice truck, ngl.
Murican V8-s just sound so good. Older non turbo AMG Mercedes engines too.
>>538945503That looks capable. Yes, murican v8s.I love the nascar high revving v8 alot
>>538945222long truck is loooong>>538945262>Goat RiderBoth would be popular in Skagen this week, but the goat especially so - there's an annual event up there where people with "cool" cars take a weeks holiday in week 29 and all go to Skagen or nearby towns
>>538943433You got a problem with pickup trucks, homo?
>>538944170That you driving? Hahaha
>>538944221Yea i like the square bodies better too, but they’re either very expensive or very rusted through.
>>538943005I have one of those and rarely drive it. In fact I prefer my Celica hatchback.
>>538945588They are, even when completely stock.Great for towing too. Mine was approved for 3375 kg for trailers with push brakes.Weird number, but I imported it from The Netherlands, so maybe you can explain why.
>>538945776Yeah. That thing went through everything. Also we have a surprisingly large American car community here. We just had a show this weekend.
>>538945907
>>5389458957500 pounds.

>>538943210Gay truck owner here. Maybe you should get your eyes checked if you feel blinded by my aftermarket headlights. The important thing is that I can seen and my headlights allow me to do so.
>>538945302Those are great. We have a decent amount of those huge new rams overhere.
>>538944940Rams are the bottom of the barrel for American trucks, but they're generally the cheapest so you see a lot of them.Ford is the gold standard. Chevy is hit-or-miss but recent manufacturing issues from the Mexican factories means a lot of "miss".
>>538944940>They are exclusively used as fashion accessoriesThat's the only reason why any retard in america would even buy a pickup. It's just an expensive fashion statement. Nobody hauls shit with an $80k truck. They aren't contractors, they aren't roofers or electricians. They're just simpleminded retards that get off on the rugged blue collar aesthetic.
>>538946265Ford is less popular here because as a brand Ford sells eco shitboxes here.it's purely performative to drive and American exclusive brand.
>>538946225Buddy, I don't give a damn about any car cucks bitching about truck lights. Take it up with them.
>>538946265Chevy's are dogshit. Rust bucket pieces of shit. I see so many rotted out Chevy's. I can't believe people want them.
>>538946380>Ford is less popular here because as a brand Ford sells eco shitboxes here.I see some F-150s showing up among the RAM majority. But Ford did make the Ranger Raptor, that's not too bad. Although only V6 ecoboost.
>>538946265>Ford is the gold standardKek
>>538946561They look nice
>>538946640The F150 has been the best selling vehicle in the US for decades.
>>538946549I don't care either. Those car cucks can get fucked. They need to go see an eye doctor. My truck is big and fat and I need to see as best I can. They bitch and moan because they can't see and my truck is just barely in their lane. Well what do they want me to do about it? My truck takes up more space. They need to get out of MY way. They better because they ain't winning in no crash. Might makes right.
>>538946650This is a normal looking Chevy here in Ohio.
>>538946896
>>538946896What do they cost overthere? Probably rusted up?
>>53894695750k or some shit. The truck market has the most inflated prices because it's got the most retarded buyers. Two peas in a pod.
>>538943005What’s even the point of this thread? Obtaining these trucks here is damn near impossible now, and the new trucks are awful tooI’m just waiting for some cheap chink truck solution to come along at this point. I don’t need a truck that can haul a boomer fifth wheel or a horse trailer. I just need it to haul some of my shit when I’m working on various things
>>538947033Wow, thats alot. I guess it makes sense since the newer trucks look out of proportion with tiny wheels
>>538943316>Not "idles"YOU HAD ONE JOB
>>538944170>>538945503>>538945907>>538946009Good OC anon ty for sharing.
>>538946957Any truck of that age that’s in a condition like that is worth an incredible amount these daysThe used car and truck market of the old days is gone. Few can afford the 100k new rigs, and they’re often unreliable or have other undesirable features anyway. So, everyone is trying to just get by with whatever old rigs are still hanging around. The only real way to get a truck like that these days is to find an old one with major issues that’s sitting on someone’s property. If you have your own space, tools and know how, you can fix it up to get in running. Most don’t have the space, the tools, know how, or funds to invest in a project like that.
>>538945686>we’ll remoralize the goyim with a good ol fashioned truck thread and call anyone who doesn’t like em gay These arguments worked on boomers collectively because they largely had realistic means of obtaining the trucks, while we do not.
>>538946794>thinks this post is organic sounding This sounds like something a shill imagining what truck enthusiasts are like would say
>>538947107I was exaggerating. Truck in >>538946927 pic related wouldn't be 50k but it WOULD be way more than it's worth. Everything is upside down. Trucks used to be cheap and utilitarian. Somewhere along the line they became status symbols as testosterone levels in the male population started dropping. They are compensators, guys use them to supplement their masculinity. It's a sad state of affairs.

>>538948166>14k miles in 28 years.Whew lad. I wish you luck on anything rubber related on that truck. Seriously. Every hose, gasket, or bushing...
>>538943005I had one of those. the front to rear brake lines failed because I live in the midwest and for their critical pressure bearing lines, GM opted for steel rather than something a little more corrosion resistant. If you're willing to do your homework and stay on top of them, american trucks are pretty cool, but if you want something that isn't going to fuck with you and your wallet look elsewhere.
>>538948319It's still cheaper and more reliable than the $70,000 version they are selling currently.
>>538948690Steel brake lines are fine but they need to be sleeved to last the life of the car. There should be class action lawsuits for selling vehicles with unsleeved steel brake lines. Don't fuck around with brake lines, if you see anything beyond surface rust (flaking) cut it out and use a flare tool to put new in.
>>538948805I wish you luck but prepare for a lot of work. It'll be really cool once it's done though. A time capsule.
>>538943005You wouldnt pay tax if its over a certain age. You'll have difficulty with avoiding the cash rape tax on petrol though

>>538948922This is true, i believe its 40 years or older at the moment. It used to be tax free from 25 year and older, but ofcourse those cars still ran so the state missed alot of money. So its capped at 40 years now
>>538947668Like I said, trucks are the ultimate vehicle. Car cucks will tell you to rent a U-Haul for your Saturday morning Lowes stop. They are retarded.
>>538947629You're just starting to figure out that the middle class is disappearing and car companies don't make money selling affordable vehicles anymore. They make more money selling luxury vehicles to the rich.
>>538949120Capped at 31-12-1987. Any vehicle 1988 or older will never get road tax exemption in this country anymore, even if it will be 40 years old.
>>538943005Sorry anon, kia will have to do

I'll never understand trucks.Sure, I get why some trades will have them. Obviously a bricklayer will have a truck so that he can carry a concrete mixer and a few other large/messy tools. I see that in the same way as how electricians always have vans, because they have a lot of small tools that need to be organised and protected. But why do people keep buying them for use as personal vehicles? Especially since most of the ones I see have canopies or giant fixed toolboxes on the back. I feel like a van or minivan is just objectively better. For example, I recently had to carry some 3m lengths of PVC flashing. They just slotted straight into my Carnival even with two baby seats installed, no problem. But with a truck, even an enormous one like a F-250, I would have no real way of carrying them at all. If I put them in the bed, they would be sticking up in the air and would bend from the wind. So I would need to rig up a system with roof bars and ratchet straps. Obviously that's just one example, but I really don't see what the advantage is for a truck which is less comfortable to drive, less flexible in its internal arrangement, and more expensive to buy and run.
>>538943005The gassers can be gotten here for not too much money, but getting it shipped there would make the cost kinda ridiculous.
>>538953209Yeah, they're pretty great. One of the only fords worth owning.
>>538953376>Paid $1500How long ago?(If you don't mind me asking.)
>>538953458women started the trend and that's also who truck manufacturers cater to now. it's why there's so much garbage in them, most truck owners don't even use a truck they just buy it "to feel safe" or because the whole family is morbidly obese.
>>538953703>because the whole family is morbidly obese
Don't touch the truck.
>>538953703>or because the whole family is morbidly obeseThat's the thing, they're so much less comfortable. My Carnival is about the same size as a Ranger/Hilux, and they have WAY less interior space than my car. Plus they have swing doors, so they're harder to get in and out of. Sure, you could argue that something bigger like an F-150 or F-250 will be comparable, but then it's also just much bigger overall. If they made a minivan with those dimensions, the cabin would feel like a cruise ship.

>>538953916All the fats around here drive them from hat I see, especially when the entire family is fat, my neighbor is this family to the letter. Rest is just women. People actually using the truck for hauling generally use way older models and they usually repair them at home. These new trucks are consumer ware tier and just for luxury
>>538953458It makes things easier. I recently floored my attic, and I could put the lumber in the bed, no trailer necessary. Moving furniture? Not a problem. Want to throw kayaks in the back? Not a problem. Want to haul something? Not a problem. If you don’t do a lot, there’s no sense in having one, but I use my bed all the time.
>>538954404Yeah but that's my point. Trucks are very specialised vehicles for specific people. Most people treat them as the default family car, which they're just not good at.
>>538954598They fit 5-6 comfortably, 4x4 for inclement weather, stout engines/driveline, and hold value. They are a pretty good all rounder. Only thing you could bitch about is fuel milage, but teens to high 20s isn’t bad
>>538951885Yeah it’s been really good. You won’t believe but I got it with 10,000 miles on it. 50,000 on it now. Some old man let it sit in his garage for 15 years but still kept up with it. suspension needed work though
>>538954598I feel ya, I get my lady small German SUVs for our run around town cars, she is in a Audi Q3 (not a big fan of audi to be honest with you though). I try to park my trucks as much as I can. Modern 1/2 tons aren't that bad though, they have a super short wheel base and actually get in the 20s for MPGs My old 2005 BMW X3 gets 18.5 mpg on a good day, engines are far more efficient than they used to be.
>>538954570But my Carnival can carry full-size sheets of plywood, and I can fit a bicycle in the back. I've never used a kayak but I would imagine they would go on the roof regardless.I'm not sure about America, but with our big hardware monopoly Bunnings, you can rent a trailer for barely anything. I just checked and a 4 hr rental of a 6x4 trailer costs $28, or $40 for an 8x5 tandem.
>>538954926My 1990 e34 525i and 2000 e320 both get ~33 mpg on the highway. ~22 mpg around town. (I live in the mountains.)

>>538954902holy shit man you found a gem of a truckwhat did you pay if you don't mind me asking?>>538955052What motor? My X3 had the M54, pretty sure the VANOS is fucked on it which could be why it's mileage is terrible. Gf recked it anyways, needs a whole new front end and my 6.0 powerstroke has been taking all my time as of late.
>>538943323Its because our roads are annoyingly narrow, which is due to most places having been inhabited for thousands of years, so unless they demolished old properties it is not possible to have big roads.Driving our regular cars on small narrow roads is annoying enough, especially when you have cars parked on one or both sides, which is frequent due to overpopulation.Big cars make already frustrating drives a lot worse. You also make it worse for everyone else who now has to stop or slow down to either let you pass or to pass you. There's nothing actually wrong with the vehicles themselves. The problem is that our crappy narrow over-crowded roads cannot cope with them. The big "18 wheelers" mostly stay on motor ways and deliver their goods to out-of-town depots, so rarely cause the problems that large domestic cars do.
>>538955029I mean, the lumber I was picking up was 12 ft, and I could haul with it straps. Personally I’d have a hard time getting it into an SUV. Also, I don’t know how you deal with stuff like mulch or moving rock. When I landscape my yard, my truck bed is great. That said, I get your point: if you don’t actually move stuff around, there’s no reason to have it. I agree with that. A lot of people have trucks that really do not need them. I just use mine enough that it would be a bitch to buy a topper for kayaks/buy a trailer for whenever I want to do any work, so it’s honestly just more convenient.

>>538943965>>538943991listen to the Polyak, op
>>538956639>The brake rotor gets stuck, You need to clean or replace your calipers>transmission is leaking, From the pan? (New gasket should solve this.)Or somewhere else?>and more recently a fuel pump type issue (could be carb or other related things -- starts with starting fluid but then dies immediately)Have you changed the fuel filter? How old is the fuel?Is it carbureted? How old is it? If it is fuel injected it could be the temp sensor inside the mass airflow sensor, or fuel pressure regulator. (Or the pump, obviously. Among other things.)
For me it's the S10 look at what they did they massacred my boy
>>538957314I had a 78 Luv that looked like that one on the left. It was black with red interior. (Good times!)
>>538957068Thanks, anon. Yes, on transmission. Tried that revitalizer fluid to no availOn fuel, some of it would be pretty old. It wasn't a primary vehicle, so it has mostly sat for years (would start it and let it run for awhile every couple months, adding a little gas here and there, from containers that had themselves sat a bit)
>>538944356Boomers keep buying suv crossovers and massive trucks full of electronics even though they bitch about the electronics. They are consumers with uncontrollable FOMO and 0 standards. As a result they dominate the vehicle market so it caters exclusively to them. Millennial consumers did the same thing with video games. They bought hot garbage and nostalgiabait nonstop for a decade, now they wonder why games are $70+ and full of raw jew propaganda.
new truck to daily drive and tow the boatornew car for daily driver and a used truck to tow the boat?
That truck is triggering me, it's so kino it hurts to watch, when this world today sucks so much. How I like this old school machines.
>>538957489>that revitalizer fluidI don't even know what that is. (Are you saying you put stop leak in your transmission???) Don't do that. That is a very bad idea. You shouldn't put anything in an automatic transmission except the right kind of transmission fluid for that transmission. (If the transmission is manual, you can flush it with diesel*. Then refill with new, proper gear oil.)*I flush crank cases with diesel when I change oil. Works like a champ to get the crud out of there. (Do not run the engine with diesel in the crankcase!) (Drain the old oil, rinse with diesel oil, drain, and fill with new oil before you start the engine.) (Don't rinse with gasoline. Gasoline is a solvent. Diesel is an oil.)If you're not sure about the old fuel, you can disconnect the fuel line from the carburetor (or the fuel rail if it is fuel injected), stick it in a big bucket or gas can, and then put a jumper wire on the fuel pump relay pins. This will let you know if the fuel pump is working well, if your fuel line has an obstruction, and if your fuel filter is clogged.
>>538958075>I don't even know what that is. (Are you saying you put stop leak in your transmission???) Don't do that. That is a very bad idea.It wasn't the kind that gunks up until it forms a big enough solid to stop it. It was just supposed to "rehydrate" the O-rings/gaskets. In any case, it just leaked out.
Europeans need trucks or they won't survive.
>>538958576We have trucks, big ones tend to be commercial vehicles though.
>>538943005I fucked a chick in the bed of one of those exact trucks ;)
>>538958671That looks way cooler than the Tesla Truck
>>538958753Agreed, it's a (probably) comming model though, not yet in mass production.I really don't get why the one they tried to market in America had to look so fucking silly.I mean, it's kinda cute. But people who buy big super heavy duty and extremely off-road worthy trucks, generally isn't looking for cute-and-silly.They managed to sell about 500 of those over there, maybe the next model will do better.
>>538958671Looks expensive and impractical
>>538959204Who doesnt want to replace a 2 thousand dollar giant windshield every time it gets a rock chip?
>>538946927shoulda got that trucoat
>>538957314That's a Colorado, not an S10
>>538943005You have to go back to Yankistan, Murphy
>>538944054I have to say if people are just driving on roads why would anyone seek out a pickup when a van would be far superior? Of course people owning vans as amin vehicles would get the pedo label as people would think why they would need a van over a regular car seeing as people carriers (ironic) and estates and larger hatchbacks are availble.
>>538944844not everyone iis intrrested in ATM's, boats, jetski's etc as a hobby. Clearly ifyou are you get a vehicles that you will use. So really pickups are of no use to the vast maj of people who just drive on roads.
>>538945222imagine jeets driving them all over Texas, you see that a jeet is driving a truck in your rear view mirror or side mirror as he overtakes and you instanly slow down because you then see that he is on his phone
>>538957314>Sitting in a Chevy and you feel something heavy...
Grew up with this truck. It was yellow but same year.
>>538956639>>538957068Brakes could also be a collapsed brake line, they can deteriorate internally and become one way check valves
>>538943548I love my ranger
>>538943005>And why do so many cucks hate trucks anyway?Shittiest and ugliest form of vanity wagon, just like the people who drive themUtterly cucked and beaten to a bloody pulp in every metric and artistic value by the Unimog
>>538961720Unimog are closer to tractors and fill the same role. Great in a field but fall short heading down the road. Would be neat to own one.
