The Bolshevik revolution was almost destroyed by that ideology if it weren't for the lend-lease program in which the US and Britain gave the Bolsheviks billions of dollars in aid. Their project almost collapsed then. And then it collapsed 45 years after the end of the war because their project was founded entirely on a fantasy. Rather the German military was certainly not prepared for a war with the largest empire in the world with the greatest navy at the time (Britain) and the greatest industrial power at the time (the USA) ganging up on them based on a lie. So what if a side holding a specific ideology lost a war? It doesn't mean that ideology is wrong. It just means the other side was either luckier or just in a better material position. Pretending that victory makes one right is retarded. One can be wrong and still win a war.
