In the UK and on mainland Europe it's usually some middle aged white man with a bit of a gut from eating fast food from service stations and cross-channel ferries, but you can rest assured that he's done all the fairly comprehensive tests involved to make sure he's up to the task, takes pride in his driving skill, and the worst you have to worry about is him having a heart attack at the wheel. It's not some 21 year old towelhead on his phone who can't read any of the road signs. What's a 21 year old doing driving something that big anyway? I wouldn't trust someone that young flying a plane, or driving a train.
