I didn’t listen to him much in the past and I didn’t have too high of opinion on his smarts from the little I listened. But I watched a little of the tucker interview and I was pretty impressed with his smarts. May listen a little more in the future.

I think he seems very intelligent to people who don't know what intelligence is and he seems knowledgeable to people who do know what intelligence is. He seems to me to exhibit healthy curiosity and a clear hunger for knowledge but he doesn't seem self-aware. If that's the case perhaps he's always had accommodating familiars, peers and mentors.I've been watching the Tucker interview but something about him makes me uncomfortable so I only watch those ten minute segments.
