The claim that China wants to steal technology from the USA misses a very important reality. US technology has been almost entirely surpassed. Theres no need steal futuristic technology from a museum of 20th century artifacts. xD
>>
The US stole all its technology from Germany in the first place
>>

i see, are we measuring research institutions by how many papers they put out?
that's a perfect example of the chinese concept of good, that's it's some quantifiable thing
they would prefer for everything to be like that. they'd like to be able to point to the number of cubic meters of concrete poured as a measure of greatness
but it's a lot more elusive than that
that's why the chinese have been copying the homework of americans and europeans for years
the chinese just don't have the right stuff
they're missing some kind of spark
they might have had it originally, but it got killed by the commies
nobody is fooled by your stack of papers
>>
>>538979217
>they're missing some kind of spark

What kind of spark? They lag behind Harvard in inventing new genders? xD

>Amerimutt technology
Amerimutts technology is when Amerimutts find your product after its been 2-5 years on the market, then file a patent for it in an Amerimutt regime run patent office, obviously get it approved by the Amerimutt office, then sue you for stealing their patent in an Amerimutt court, of course win the case with the Amerimutt jury full o Amerimutt bugmen believing all the shit and lies they hear in Amerimutt media, then have all your international bank accounts seized and frozen and stolen by Amerimutts claiming 1000% of your revenue as damages for them stealing your tech and then watch the Amerimutts buy the remains of your insolvent company with the money they stole from you to get the real blueprints for the tech they sued you for they couldnt even properly replicate because the Amerimutt company who claims you stole your tech from them never even produced anything like that before.

big schools in america suck because they got long marched by the commies
but every major piece of technology, every major protocol was developed by americans or europeans

>but every major piece of technology, every major protocol was developed by americans or europeans

A century ago. The world changes.
>>
>>538978994
USA stole from EU, when EU was destroyed in WW, they fell off immediately even after the brain drain. You can check century by century.
>>
The amount of articles don't matter unless they are cutting edge scientific discoveries, which they are not. American institutes simply produce way important science.

Nature Index 2025 shows Chinese institutions dominating article share (9/10 top spots), reflecting high-volume and _high-quality_ output in fields like AI, quantum, biotech, materials etc. China leads in highly cited papers (top 1% globally), patents, and breakthroughs (quantum supremacy claims, hypersonics, CRISPR advances and many many others). Harvard excels in prestige, but volume + velocity matters: Chinas output increasingly drives global innovation metrics. Quantity enables quality at scale. US leads in some legacy metrics, but data shows China already closed the gap on impact and now begins to dominate in all most important scientific fields of the future.

there is still some kike high-tech China is afraid of
>>
>>538979388
What hurt the european innovators more was the socialist economy system that USA pushed to europeans to adapt after the WW2 to "make the communism less favourable idea to europeans". The socialist system made it that innovating here was complex, expensive and often not worth it, meanwhile in true capitalist market, USA, average iq engineer madafakas applied for new patents each week and made millions doing so. Losing sciencists to usa did have it impact but the socialist system is the true gatekeeper.
>>
>>538979550
>output in fields like AI, quantum, biotech, materials

Doesn't mean the research itself is high quality even if the fields are.

>More citings
Doesn't mean shit when Wong, Dong, Song and Kong are the ones citing you. Indian research papers have a fuck ton of citings thats because jeet scientists cite eachother for izzat.

Ok I'll ask you this: name 3 modern high tech ideas that the chinese has recently produced. Can't name one? That's the point.
>>
>>538978994
>USA misses a very important reality.
Nigger Chinese journals have no impact rating because they throw a million fake papers into them.
>you can cure Alzhimers by surgically opening the lymph nodes.
>>
>>538979731
>name 3 modern high tech ideas that the chinese has recently produced

1) DeepSeek-R1: open-source LLM rivaling top Western models in reasoning/math - rapidly adopted globally.

2) EAST 'Artificial Sun': set world record sustaining 100M°C plasma >1000s for fusion energy.

3) Thorium molten salt reactor: first thorium-uranium fuel conversion, advancing safer nuclear tech.

Citations from Nature/Science validate impact beyond self-cites. China leads in quantum prototypes & AI chips too.
>>
>>538979731
>name 3 modern high tech ideas that the chinese has recently produced.
Kung Pao Chicken, Sweet and Sour sauce and YumYum fried rice.
>>
>>538979828
>rivaling top Western models
Literally trained off of OpenAI
>EAST 'Artificial Sun': set world record sustaining 100M°C plasma
Which is a Tokamak reactor, Sir Terry Pratchett referred to a Tokamak reactor in the Colour of Magic, published 1983, that's old.
> thorium-uranium fuel conversion
First commercial use. Not first operating Thorium reactor. More technology from the 80's.
>>
>>538979975
DeepSeek-R1 matches/beats OpenAI o1 on reasoning benchmarks via efficient new training, so no copy. EASTs 2025 record (1000s+ plasma) advances practical fusion timelines far beyond 1980s concepts. Worlds first operational molten salt thorium-uranium conversion/breeding is a real progress on abandoned tech for energy independence. China executes at scale where West stalled. Innovation = iteration + deployment. I can give plenty other examples where the West lags behind technologically behind China.
>>
>>538978994
Quite a strange "index" based on one-year output to a small journal list and even then drilling down seems to just ignore lots of stuff. Its also completely unnormalised. When you do that it heavily weights for certain disciplines (e.g., you are better off publishing in the worst genomics journal than the best journal in 70% of fields).

Its a marketing thing anyway intended to promote Nature as a publisher.

FWCI/$ ratio is more illuminating (but I would say that, the UK is always at the top, not that our politicians seem to understand this).
>>
>>538980108
i guess the ccp probably shut down those espionage groups in shanghai since they're not needed anymore
>>
>>538980108
>DeepSeek-R1 matches/beats OpenAI
It's still trained off of OpenAI. It's not an advancement of.
>advances practical fusion timelines far beyond 1980s concepts
Tokamak reactors weren't conceptual in the 80's. They have been in laboratories since the 70's.
>Worlds first operational molten salt thorium-uranium conversion/breeding
The only quantifier the Chinese have is the first commercially operating Thorium salt reactor. The first breeder thorium reactor is from the 60's. And good on the Chinese for doing something with the technology, but none of that shit is new.
>>
>>538980278
Nature Index tracks high-impact journals across fields. China dominates despite biases. FWCI data also shows China rising fast in top-cited work. UK excels in efficiency per $ (legacy), but absolute breakthroughs and scale favor China in AI/quantum/energy/etc. Metrics complement: volume + citations reveal real momentum. Nature aint marketing fluff, it is correlated with Nobel-level impact. BTW, UKs FWCI/$ lead relies on legacy prestige & small-scale excellence, but Chinas massive R&D surge delivers more absolute high-impact papers and breakthroughs. Scale wins long-term: China leads total citations and tech translation in key fields. Efficiency metrics undervalue velocity.
>>
>>538980478
>China dominates despite biases
No. No it doesn't.
>>
>>538980478
>we got the biggest number in some rigged metric !!
china absolutely loves stuff like this
>>
>>538980386
DeepSeek-R1 innovates via pure RL post-training on their V3 base - efficient, open, competitive without heavy SFT reliance. EASTs 1066s record triples prior steady H-mode, critical for reactor viability - engineering leap. Chinese reactor is FIRST modern molten salt breeding/conversion at scale. Builds on old ideas with execution China leads. Progress is iteration + deployment, not pure novelty. US stalled, China delivers. The USrael in its current low-tech deindustrialized/fentanilized form would never build such a thing xD

>American institutes simply produce way important science
Every Amerimutt accussation is a projection.

All of those "important" "American" papers are produced by guys called Zang, Tang, Ho and Ping and Ling or some rare French and German name hired from overseas.

The papers written by Stacy and Karen are "Feminist Penguins Stop Global Warming" and Tyler and Joe are "Advance Crypto NFT Economics Applied To Goldberg Sachs 2020 Edition"

You Amerimutts are the ones producing the most junk papers in the world.

Dude, China dominates the West and invents breakthrough original stuff all the time. Hypersonic glide vehicles (DF-ZF): operational superiority, US struggles with deployment. Quantum communication: worlds first quantum satellite (Micius) and quantum networks, leads secure comms. EVs and batteries: BYD/CATL dominate global production, LFP chemistry leadership, solid-state advances. China >60% market share.
5G/6G infrastructure: Huawei leads 5G deployments and patents, early 6G trials.
High-speed rail: 45,000+ km network, indigenous CR400 trains - unmatched scale/speed. China dominates manufacturing, solar panels (80%+), rare earths, EV supply chain etc.
>>
>>538980909
>High-speed rail
china is definitely unmatched in their speed at burying these trains when something goes wrong, like that wenzhou thing
i heard they almost buried a child
china definitely leads the way in disposing of inconvenient information and general callousness
i guess china's main scientist of compassion is Chen Xianmei

>china definitely leads the way in disposing of inconvenient information and general callousness

Like yesterday 4 Iranian missiles hit US base in Jordan after +8 PAC-3 interceptors failed to take them down and the official announcement of Jordan/FENTCOM was that all 4 missiles were shot down. I think China doesnt lie about reality even in 1% like the West does. The West today is 99% propaganda, 1% progress

This times 100, it's almost as if the USA sabotaged Europe. But what happened after the fall of the Soviet Union is even worse. While the system the Americans installed during the Cold War was bad, the EU has been infinitely worse.

The EU is also an arm of the American government by the way. It's essentially an American-run NGO that destroys European sovereignty and makes it impossible for European countries to relax the market or deregulate anything.

French GDP per capita during the 1980's dwarfed America's, yet the moment the WTO, EU, and other instruments of American aggression were created including global copyright laws and privacy laws Europe's economies have quickly been declining.

Articles? Who the fuck cares, at least do reviewed papers like everyone else, or is this just a retarded translation? 1 and 8 are universally dropped. 10 is basically
>look the Dutch showed us how to grow this veggie better and now we're trying without training wheels
But by given which american university competes on "articles" surely isn't an indicator on who likes to talk much.

The US is already in the midst of regression in most supporting fields. However, China isn't up to par yet. We both have to shake off our respective maoism.
>>
>>538978994
i dont bother anymore with articles by all bugs, all jeets, all beans, and all durkas. they are extremely low quality in terms of technical content and clear english language, and probably 1 time out of 6 or 7 are plagairized whole cloth. durkas probably lead the way on the plagairism. so go ahead chang, keep flooding the space with articles that noone reads.

i think you're saying we agree that all of the top crucial technologies and protocols were developed by americans and europeans
sometimes people point out that elgamal is egyptian, but he did his work at american schools
i would say one remarkable counterexample is ruby, which was developed for years by the japanese
it's basically a shutout
americans and europeans invented everything that the modern world runs on

China filed 73,718 international patent applications (PCT) in 2025, surpassing the United States, which filed 52,617.

China's applications increased by 5.3%, while the US saw a 3% decline, marking the fourth consecutive year of US decline.

In terms of total national patent applications in 2024, China submitted 1.8 million, compared to 501,831 from the US.
