You can start to see why the entire US economy now hinges on AI, it’s not that AI is actually going to do anything useful, but US corporations desperately need the world to believe the lie that it can actually replace millions of employees so they can finally have an excuse to fire the massive amount of completely useless people they’ve hired over the past decade when money was cheap and you could make more money by fooling investors into thinking your company was growing if you went on a hiring spree and increased your headcount.

We buy it from elsewhere but why do they accept monopoly money? Secondly, improving technology and competition with the third world means more and more people are priced out of the market, i.e. nobody is willing to pay the wage of what they deserve.
