I am going to be as vague as possible so me and other people aren't identified while still explaining what I'm seeing. There is a trend in the medical field where I work that's pretty alarming involving serious liver damage from an unknown source, suspected viral, mimicking cancer symptoms but with no known or diagnosable cause via imagery or otherwise. Observe the following cases:Patient 1: No significant PMH aged 60(approx) Female has new onset of jaundice, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, rapid weight loss. Found to have elevated liver enzymes AST 600+/ALT 700+ pain in upper right chest. Liver and gallbladder clean on CT/Ultrasound/MRI. Imaging performed again at Vanderbilt (regional research hospital) no known cause identified. Patient is not on prescription medications reports rarely taking OTCs. hemo-anemic, elevated white counts. No other incidental findings.Patient 2: 20yr (approx) old male patient no significant PMH no prescription medications presented to ED with nausea, vomiting, recent (4months) 30lb weight loss, abdominal pain. Significant findings of elevated AST/ALT in the 400/400 range. Imagery shows swollen appendix. Normal WBC, neutrophil, and CRP ruled out acute appendicitis. No other acute findings. Liver ultrasound and CT abdomen w/ contrast otherwise unremarkable for an otherwise healthy young man. Referred to specialty physicians for further workup.We are seeing significant signs of liver scarring in patients that have no history liver problems as well as a much higher incidence of NAFLD/NASH in the general population including as young as 25. Do with this knowledge what you will. Worrying signs of an unknown pathogen causing immense liver damage in a short period of time. This is inconsistent with alcohol or drug abuse. Unless these people are downing entire bottles of Tylenol I am unsure what to make of these findings. There could also be concern for contaminated food/medicine in the general public.

If theyre slowly exposed overtime excess molecules will be present in hair and nails. Large exposure to heavy metals like arsenic would also cause neuro-degenerative symptoms, but slow exposure and build up may not.
