we live in a completely different world than we used to. this is a completely, completely different world than it used to be. ive finally fully realized this. my grandparents werent lying when they said that this is a completely different than the one where they grew up. they both grew up on farms in virginia, both got marriedfirst in their -early teens- -one of them maybe been 12 in their first marriage-, noone knew that gay shit even existed basically, and family was your entire fucking life and those were the people you experiences -everything- good and bad with. all the men of a family typically knew each other and hung out on a very regular bass, fishing, hunting, and adventuring. and, the women were literally glad and proud, to cook whatever the fuck the men brought home.women and men used to be completely different. gender roles used to exist out of necessity rather than oppression, and people used to be kept entertained, by real life situations, often even deadly (which should honestly make everyone whos made it this far ((esp while being white or perhaps even asian)) very proud) but today, we keep ourselves entertained. and death is basically so distant to most ppl in the modern world that its etnertaining, its a sexual fetish oftentimes. people used to not really have those too much either. life moved too fast, and they were having to keep up. and the world is always changing drastically. it becomes hard to even wonder what the fuck youpass down to children other than money. my grandaprents are basically terrified to say anything about anything, because the life they lived in the old world was so unimaginably different from the life ive lived in the new world, that it has to be terrifying every moment to see itand, people convinced themselves that family wasnt a good thing. and rebelling a bit was always normal. but i dont know of -any- family older than 50 who got distant, bc ppl used to literally just not do that and bonds used last for life
the world in which they lived was not bad. it was pretty good in a lot fways. it was more hard, but also much more rewarding seems to be the general consensus. ppl used to not go fucking crazy, without constant entertainment and drugs to keep them numbed. the old world was a world that self sustained itself itself; this is a large enclosure that we live in and breeding has basically been made illegal
so ive been pretty anticonservative so far bc im young and its cool but to be completely real we should actually just be glad that he current monster running the country is -at- least a high value white man, like the world spoke through this to honestly point out something that really matters
