>>539034809to me a zoomer is anyone whose earliest memories already included smartphones. smartphones first came to prominence around 2007-2008, so to me anyone born after 1999 is a zoomer (their earliest memories would be from when they were age 8, you can't really remember what happened before that age). if you were born in the early 90's you would have already finished high school right before the first smartphones hit the market. so there is no way you could say those people are zoomers, because smartphones and social media completely changed society / social interaction. it is what separates us millennials from zoomers. we were the last generation to grow up in the pre-smartphone era before social media dominated society. yes social media did exist on desktop PC's but the whole ecosystem was not central to your life, it was just a side thing (being a nerd / online kind of person was actually seen as a bad thing).
