Is it poverty?

>Why can’t Europeans get air conditioning?

It was like San Deigo California, nice weather, don't need a/c. 70% of the worlds population live at the ocean for this reasons.
>>
>>539036651
Because it's harder to integrate A/C in concrete/brick/stone building and some city building are basically classified as historic monument so you can't just do modification on the fly.
So you have to resort to portable A/C who are convenient and effcient if you can't seal around the exhaust tube and A/C are basically bought by scalper.
>>
>>539036651
Europe is not a country.
>>
We're poor, simple as. Energy is insanely expensive because of climate nonsense and the already low wages are taxed into oblivion making the purchase of a unit outside of most people's budget.
Any other excuse is just European inferiority complex talking points

So? I sealed mine with layers of aluminum foil-covered cardboard.

>Europe is not a country.
Nobody said it was, you low IQ moorish rape baby.
>>

In Spain AC is common, and the parts where it isn’t common it’s typically not needed. I don’t know about other countries in Europe, just like you don’t know about the other 22 countries in North America.
>>
>>539039257
The other 22 countries in North America barely have more population than the USA itself, meanwhile Spain is the size of California.
>>
>>539039411
I think you’re trying to make a point.

I think you're an obtuse faggot automatically conceding me a moral victory

The problem with Europe right now is weakness. And since only weak people die from a hot summer day, the idea is to simply let the weak perish and let the strong survive. Over time this will heal the continent and save Europa.
>>
>>539038823
Yeah, we're fucking aware you caliphate ape
>>
>>539038784
The real real reason is you didn't need it until this years El nino and climate change because Europe was paradise on earth.
That's it. Anything else is stupid bait retarded shit.
Fuck these gay DnC threads.
>>
Most European windows don't support AC. Most European homes don't have forced air systems which rule out central AC. As for mini-splits I feel the excuse is money, however in Canada atleast heat pumps are subsidized for green energy reasons; you would expect Europe to do the same.
>>
>>539039521
Europeans are so short-sighted. "You didn't need it" in this context means it wasn't unbearable enough to need it, the heat still impaired your life but not to the point where you needed AC. Because how is 31 degrees preferable to 15?
>>
>>539036651
why would you need air conditioner in cold shitholes like Minnesota?
>>
>>539036651
I don't know but the current atmospheric conditions I'm experiencing here remind me of mordor

Mental illness.

It's just part of an enjoyable summer? At 31 the house doesn't even get to temperatures where it matters, you go out into the enjoyable sun and come back for a nice cool drink.
The spike this year was unprecedented, what do you mean shortsighted, you only notice it when it becomes a problem. Most human solutions come after the problem.

Luckily europe is becoming very solar dependant, so we have lots of solar peak free energy to power AC, I know a few people that have bought portables.

atmospheric like picrel?
>>
when it was really hot like 2 weeks ago I seriously looked around for ACs cuz it was seriously miserable. everyone and everywhere gave me months wait/delivery times. apparently a bunch of people felt the same way. no big loss, figured I'll just do this stuff in the winter (and this time I really mean it)
but now it's perfectly fine again. now the usual stuff works (blinds down during the day, windows open at night) and I'm catching myself thinking "well maybe I dont really need AC anyway, next time I'll just get a fan for that one hot week"

but who knows, it's only july. maybe there's another scorcher peroid ahead and I will change my tune again.

You don't want to use aluminum foil. You want to use reflective mylar film or stainless steel. Reflective Mylar film is the best choice.

Why are americans so weirdly convinced euros are secretly poor? I keep seeing it.
No, they dont have it because of greeny shit.
>>

>wealth per adult
>yes, we have old furniture worth $250,000 we are not poor
Retarded metric. The old furniture has only slightly more value than Ikea junk.

What an absolutely retarded map. Did they honestly group Nevada and Utah with Washington and Oregon when looking at houses with air CK dituoning?

I hope whoever made it whitenesses the death of their entire family then becomes a quadriplegic without the ability to speak, hear, or see.
>>
>>539039955
Yeah, hot and hazy with reddish brown light coming through the window and the sun is literally red.
>>
>>539036651
I live on rent flr starters, need to ask the owner if i can do the necessary work to instal an AC, it would cost me around 3 thousand euro which isnt cheap, also electricity bill would go throigh the roof, im already paying more than 200 euro every 2 months, in other words europeans are already struggling as it is and an AC is a luxury
>>
>>539040672
An antique hardwood chair from 1850 is worth $100. If you don't even use it, it is worth less.
>>
>>539036651
AC usage corelates with obesity.

> thinks vacations make people poor

Europeans have 6-8 weeks of so called "vacation" during the hottest period of the year.

Of course this is unheard in the US, where the average has about as much vacation over the entire worklife as someone in Europe in one year.

you got me, but I would say it's less lack of foresight and more... issue just seems less pressing in retrospect
am I really gonna spent like a thousand bucks to not sweat a little for a week?
