20 years ago, companies like Sony, Toray, Panasonic, Toshiba, Toyota, tokyo electron, Hitachi, Sharp, Sanyo, Seiko Epson, Casio, Hitachi, olympus, Seiko, Sharp, mitsubishi, NEC, Yamaha etc dominated high tech industries but today they are a mere shell of what they used to be like. They are surviving purely on inertia and brand recognition. Half of this brands you zoomers probably don't even recognize. Japan's global market share in tech is being eaten by China and SK at a record pace, half of the companies I listed will not survive another decade at this rate.

Japan is falling behind in technology hard, in another 20 years, I won't be surprised if they fell out of the technologically advanced club and joined Russia as one the few countries whose technology has actually regressed over time.

People make fun of europe here all the time, but at least they have ASML or Airbus or Deepmind or ARM. I legit cannot think of a single field where Japan had a years long lead ahead of the rest of the world, or any high tech industry that they really dominated in. They will eventually turn into Thailand, just good for tourism and anime and not much else.

That's why they're importing Indian mastermind coders and CEOs

>>539112225
Which specific companies are you predicting will not exist in a decade and why? How does "losing global market share" translate to being technologically behind? By what metric are you arguing that Russia has regressed technologically? What technologies have Russia and Japan lost?
>>
>>539112225
They undoubtly are leaders in Incel, Hikikomori, manlet and suicide culture.

>2023
Yeah I knew that a long time ago, aviation is a bitch because you pretty much only have 3 companies: Boeing, Airbus, and Embraer.
Bombardier is dead, and COMAC still needs to break out of China
Russia still had Tupelov and Ilushyin but nobody will buy Russian jets
>>
>>539112523
and what do jeets lead in? the demolition of the first world, as intended and implemented by your jewish handlers
>>
>>539112225
>and anime

They're outsourcing animation a lot and there's a growing pressure from the West to make anime suitable for the "modern audience" so this will decline too and the countries that were animating their shit will eat their lunch by producing better shows.
>>
>>539112523
I’ve seen a lot more videos of jeets killing themselves than I have of Japanese.
>>
>>539112225
Toyota is still the world's most prolific vehicle manufacturer. Also, haven't heard of Keyence, I guess.

>By what metric are you arguing that Russia has regressed technologically?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energia_(rocket)

Rockets are one of the areas where Russia has actually regressed badly compared to the USSR. They no longer have super heavy or even heavy lift rockets, and their launch rates have cratered. Russia only launches like 7 times a year, compared to a 100+ times per year at their heights of the USSR. Shipbuilding is another one, USSR could build aircraft carriers and nuclear powered cruisers, today they can't even maintain their single old carrier. Civilian aviation is another one.

>Which specific companies are you predicting will not exist in a decade and why?

Sharp, Yamaha and Sanyo and some of the smaller car companies like Nissan. They're all doing pretty badly in the face of chinese and korean competition. And the others will survive purely because they're too big to fail and will get support from the government.

>How does "losing global market share" translate to being technologically behind?

If you're not the leader, it's very easy for other companies to undercut you, espically in the very competitive electronic and semiconductor space, where winner takes all.

My recent experience with classic brands, Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba tells me the quality and good design is still there. Japanese companies just won't put their name on housefire tier gear, no CEO wants to be the guy doing a public shame session with horizontal bowing for burning people out of their houses.
>>
>>539112225
Japan will never be finished. As South Korea and Japan represent the U.S.'s bulkhead against China. The U.S. will do anything to ensure that neither Japan or South Korea ever falls. Even if the Japs consumer industries began to falter commercially with consumer tech the U.S. would just make .gov/military deals with those companies to ensure things continue on.
>>
>>539112225
Another Plaza Accord to appease Boeing and the US probably. How cucked are japs?

India is interested in IL-114-300
>>
>>539113082
lol America is half the reason why Japan is in this mess. Same for Europe, sure saved them from technological stagnancy in the face of the russian threat did you?
>>539113078
they still make decent stuff, but decent consumer products=/=SOTA products so hard to make and so important that entire trillion dollar industries depend on them. Companies like OpenA.I, TSMC, ASML, Boeing, Huawei, SpaceX etc etc. 30 years ago, companies like Toshiba or Panasonic were those companies, who were so powerful that they could shape geopolitics.
>>
>>539112225
Airbus is not a “world leading company”
>>
>>539113038
rocket propulsion systems maybe but they're world class in the ablative materials science and downstream technology that enables, e.g., hypersonic
>>
>>539113365
What Russian threat? The Russians are the biggest joke on the planet, literal African tier military that still cannot take Ukraine
>>
>>539112225

its the americans and their jewish "scope clause"

they have jewish regulations on regional airlines, that dictate size cause big legacy carriers are oligopoly. also regional airline pilots make same salary as fast food workers for some reason.
>>
>>539113882
And yet the combined forces of the Ukranny and NATO have neither pushed back Russian gains nor defeated Russia. Guess we can't beat shit tier African countries. We can't even beat Iran.
>>
>>539112225
Japan needs to ship all their old people to south East Asia. Turn south East Asia into North East Asia's retirement home.
>>
>>539114073
what's the point of pushing anything when Russia cannot even overcome WW2 level logistics issues with modern technology? They are a joke, literal 1970's tier tech and Ukraine has been able to hold them mostly at bay. Also we decimated Iran without putting a single boot on the ground. But you can keep believing your shitskin bricks fantasy that somehow the U.S. is 'losing'

You should be grateful that Japan gave your worthless cuck nation Sook Ching, such an iconic event where 50,000 chinksects were annihilated by Japanese men. I guess the remnants of your losers would dedicate sex slave comfort women to Japanese soldiers there.
>>
>>539112225
It's not the incapacity of the Japanese, they are fully capable of developing such industries.

The problem is that Japan is a country under occupation, economic policy is drafted in Washington and then forced.

American meddling in the Japanese Economy ( because it was developing faster than America ) created all kinds of problems that forced Japan into stagnation.

While one might be tempted to blame the Americans, but the Japanese could have expelled the Americans from their country or instead seek a sino-japanese partnership setting aside the nationalistic stupidity of both countries.

Japan has more to gain from an alliance with china than being in the bondage of the Americans, the American war against hentai and anime is just a subset of the entire American war against the Japanese economy and culture.

*shrug* the WOMEN need RIGHTS anon. who cares if the birth rate and our culture goes in the gutter? FEMALE RIGHTS must be had so we will import infinite immigrants so they won't have to breed with these shitty men.

Some of Sony is also under China.

Okay but you realize Mitsubishi is still one of the biggest companies in earth right? Them deciding to cut their passenger plane program is more telling of how difficult it is and how unprofitable it is and potentially what the government needs and wants. Heavy industry, tech, and artistic sectors of Japan are heavily subsidized by the government and there could be a multitude of reasons why they cut this project other than "they can't do it". I don't really know a lot about this stuff though

Japan is a tribute state to the Tangin ancient times and amerimutt cock sucker in modern times and will always be subservient to who ever is the global power at the time, so it's no surprise they're declining when their amerimutt daddy is also in the shitter.

Sorry but ASML is a Dutch company built with Dutch brains and business prowess. Please don't label it "european" just so that a bunch of schwarty meds or sl*v niggers feel like they can lay a claim on the achievements of a superior race (the Dutch)

This. I can never understand it. The Japanese have been getting screwed for years. Sony went to shit due to America interference. The constant card companies blocking payments of Japanese goods even in their own country.
Anime and Game censorship.
But hey, lets fight China, the people who have been buying our crap more than the Americans or EU ever did.
