What gun should I get for when society collapses?
>>539135210ar-15
>>539135210one that fits in your mouth

>>539135210Whichever tastes best to you.
Pink hello kitty Glock
>>539135210This dick bitch lol
>>539135210Prices are great right now. Buy a 9mm Glock and a budget AR15 for each person in your family.
Something you can conceal. I've played enough Day Z to know that people will kill you on sight if you look armed.
>>539135210Honestly one of those bigass air muskets would be good I guess. You can always find some way to cast your own bullets, and you wouldn't have to worry about propellant.
>>539135210Go to the pawn shop and get a haunted gun
>>539135210shotgun
>>539135210I imagine that you might want a few different ones for different situations.
Sword gun
>>539135210.22 or twelve gauge
>>539135210Well, you're gonna want something reliable thru all conditions, so that leaves the AR-15 out. Ideally, some version of an AK.
>>539135210The nogunz starter pack is an AR-15, 12 gauge pump action, and a 9mm. Throw in a .22 and .30 cal rifle if you’re looking to step it up to casual. From there you start specializing into cowboy, LARPerator, or historian, or minmaxxerturbofaggot
>>539135210Keep it simple and reliable.Nothing fancy, nothing you can't repair with your own two hands.
>>539135210>for when society collapsesnot gonna happen, but since we're here larping, here's some low budget options:Mossberg Patriot for hunting critters.PSA AR-15 with Taurus GX2 sidearm for defense.Ruger 10/22 for plinking targets.
>>539135766/threadA snubnose revolver if you don't have any handgun experience for a sidearm.. easiest to find the ammo for all 3 and all extremely reliable
>>539135210Among other guns; this one
If you ever actually needed a gun you’ve failed to secure like 10 layers of security that is actually valuable already. Go to failed countries like South Africa. You know what people invest in? Not guns, not really. They buy fences, security systems, cameras, flood lights, doors, locks, safes, metals, hard drives, vehicles.
>>539135210Gun with most common ammo type and is most reliable to not have issues, bonus points if it can get wet without issues
>>539135746
>>539136309>PSAThanks to them I'm pretty sure good ARs are cheaper than ever when factoring real inflation.
Canon
>>5391352103 guns:1. A hunting rifle in .30-06, .308, or .270 winchester, long term widespread availability of ammo is the biggest thing here.2. You might as well have some sort of ar15, doesn't matter which one as long as it's not garbage quality, and don't shit it up with tacticool accessories, they just add weight, and eventually you won't be able to get batteries for your lights, lasers, thermal optics and other bullshit anyways.3. A 9mm handgun, specific model doesn't really matter too much as long as it's not a piece of shit. Bonus points if it's super common.4. (Optional Bonus) A high powered, big bore (.30cal+) air rifle would be cool, get some molds made up so that you can cast your own pellets and you'll be in good shape basically indefinitely.
>>539135766This anon knows.
>>539135210wtf… how’d you get the barrel to go outside the frame?
>>539136728>shtf>30-06/.270nogunz pls stay gone why would you even mention that if you know ammo is inherently going to be an issue
How much 12 gauge buckshot should i hoard?
>>539137187>ammo is inherently going to be an issueyou're either going to hunker down and repel raiders, move as far away from everyone as possible and avoid raiders, or be a raider. all three options are suicide. if there's no law and order it becomes a PvP server. most people won't last long enough for ammo to be an issue.
>>539135318OP needs a ginormous one
>>539136583How this got approved and manufactured I will never understand. Literally for what purpose?
>>539137520the only way i can see pvp working is if whites are a minority in an area who have baofengs and have powder to reload ammo. Plus they need to have a plan in place to start door kicking day one but sadly nobody exists like that
>>539137713>Literally for what purpose?recoil keks
>>539137520Do you even watch apocalypse coyote? Just live in the storm drains. Stake out an area before looting supplies. Avoid using ham radios. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xY4IRPxrssM
>>539137520The most likely use case is jews making another move like pic related but worse. I know a lot of you guys were in elementary school when this happened but there was a massive gun and ammo shortage so for many noguns it was effectively too late to arm themselves. It's smarter to just spend the $500 on a rifle now while things are good and guns are cheap.
>zero mentions of .22lr.22 lr is the only viable option for how many rounds you can carry with you. Unless you have based neighbors and you can bunker down, .22lr is the only viable option due to logistics. Once the roads are clogged up you are not going to be driving a car, your best bet is a motorcycle for the first years and then a bicycle (gas will eventually go bad after 5 years or so). You can easily carry thousands of rounds of .22lr because of the small size and weight
>>539135312>fpbpWould also recommend a weapon you can conceal. S&W M&P9 2.0 carry comp or Glock 19
>>5391352109mm carbine. its cheap, everywhere, and better for human target under 100 yards anyway when something is likely to go down, ar15 is a stupid choice unless youre planning on being in a squad or only shooting people further away. you can carry 500 rounds of 9mm easily in a small box, low recoil. it also penetrates some materials BETTER than 556 at close range, look this up if you dont believe me. its a bigger, slower bullet so it just handles some things better. also, 9mm out of a carbine isnt super loud. you can shoot this outside without hearing protection and your ears shouldnt be ringing. 556 is loud as fuck out of a 16" barrel which is now standard. if youd like to mask the sound even more at a distance, sub sonic 9x19 isnt that much slower than standard pressure 9x19 anyway. kel tec makes a pretty sweet reliable 9mm carbine, it doesnt have to be a 5000 dollar H&K. get a folding one that fits in a backpack. if i had one gun that I needed for human targets and possibly hunting, id choose that. you could hunt rabbits with this just fine and have plenty to eat as well.

>>539135210The 45 op remover is a must
Bolt action or break action 22 or 223

A bayonet can be attached to a shotgun to be used as a spear but youre going to be using traps and bows to eat. Your best bet is to join a homesteading commune, preferably without having to fire a single shot.
>>539138054because its for pocket guns when used defensively. it doesnt make much sense if 22lr is your only gun if you have another option. rimfire is inherently less reliable than centerfire ammo with actual primers. not only will 1 or 2 rounds in a box of 500 possibly not work at all, the quality control isnt the same. some rounds sound and feel very different. im refering to Federal premium ammo. i shoot a ton, basically every day of my life. i shoot 22 almost daily too. I would absolutely not rely on this as my only gun just because the ammo is light and small. thats a nice perk, but it ends there. someone wearing a thick motorcycle jacket with a fleece shirt underneath would be taking away most of the bullets velocity by the time it hits flesh. they could just let you shoot them once or twice before deciding to shoot back and win. yes, it can be lethal of course, but this will NOT stop someone from shooting you. in some cases, some people are shot right in the head with 22lr and live long enough to do all sorts of stuff. thick wood, car doors, all sorts of stuff will stop a 22lr and then on top of that, it has abysmal range. standard 22lr is like 1000fps at 100 yards and starts to drop a lot after this.
>>53913521012ga pump shotty.>Simple>Reliable>LethalMossberg 500 or Remington 870.Christ is king.
>>539135210it don't matter. these gunfags do training in their little faggy shooting ranges but a bullet from an untrained person is still the same as a bullet from a trained person kek
>>539135210A stainless steel .22LR revolver with rubber grips is probably the best option.
>>539135210Most of them end your pain quickly with one shot.
suppressed 22lr
>>539138645I feel if you’re not choosing a semiautomatic (or whatever you call a magazine-loaded rifle), it’s because you want reliability that you can maintain in the field. I get the feeling a break action is much more fragile, so in that case it should be a bolt action. Am I retarded?
>>539135210Davy Crockett
In the case of a catastrophe, society will not fall apart as easily as some may think. People will stick together and salvage as much of their societies as possible because of how valuable and advantageous they are. People who assume a post apocalyptic, lone gunman, survivalist archetype seen in movies and games, will be putting themselves at risk. They will be seen as dangerous, immature and unintelligent and will be excluded from the group.
>>539138999Checked but the whole reliability issue has been pretty well laid to rest with modern firearms. Everyone loves to daydream but the fact is you aren't going to be manufacturing your own small parts from scratch anyways whether that gun is manually operated or semi auto.
>>539139240>catastropheyou are assuming functional society has a buubuuwe are in the middle of soviet style collapse / bronze age collapse / later roman collapse
Whatever there's the most plentiful ammo for
>>539135210There are caches of free ones inside the homes of non-racist boomers
>>539139240In a multiracial society the reality is going to be closer to prison gangs.
>>539135210A cum gun
>>539135210.44 magnum Get a revolver and a lever action rifle. Speed loaders for the revolver. A Lee's hand loader kit so you can reuse the brass.12 gauge shotgun next. .22 pistol if you want small game, but a complete waste otherwise.30-06 rifle if you want to reach out. But if your survival is dependent on being mobile then .44mag is the easiest combo. Otherwise your dragging around too much shit.
In order of importance:>handgunany snub revolver in .38 or .357 or a compact semi auto in 9mm or .45either way, should be concealable, i.e. not huge>shotgunremington 870 or mossberg 500/590 in 12 gauge18-20" barrel, no need to go longer than that>rifleany ar-15 if permissive stateruger mini 14 if ban state
>>539135210Glock 19 if you are willing to actually go to the range and practice using it, if not get a .38 Special revolver.A concealable firearm will be far more useful in 9000% of scenarios. If things have reached the point that people are running around openly blasting each other with AR-15s or whatever, just stay home until things calm down.
>>539135796>so that leaves the AR-15 out.Modern, well built AR-15s will be reliable in any realistic conditions. >Ideally, some version of an AK.AKs are shitty unergonomic trash guns primarily designed to be made as cheaply as possible to equip retarded conscripts before throwing them into a meat grinder.
>>539136320>easiest to find the ammoAssume that you will only have whatever ammo you already have on hand when SHTF. All ammo will disappear from store shelves immediately if anything like that happens. And the most common types are what disappears first.
>>539140004>>539140389lol this is like reading a zombie survival forum in 2010. Look at any irl firefight and you will see rate of fire and capacity matter. Cover fire is a thing. Six plus one mags of 5.56 is pretty light and that's 210 rounds.>>539141225Even just for home defense a pistol is more useful because most people don't have a living situation where they can check on a noise or answer the door with their rifle in hand.
>>539135210Savage 110 Long Range Precision. Load your own ammo, keep track of all your target shooting groups.
>>539139482Be careful that pic could upset your local authority!
>>539142478If your a faggot and need an ar then your going to want a .458 socom, not 5.56. You want something that is going to permanently drop someone, no questions asked. Reference Blackhawk Down.
>>539135210Try one of these bad boys.
>>539136238You forgot hunter. A bolt action chambered for 5.56 will always have ammo.
>>539136665All AR fags should also have a spare BCG and ensure that it's fully lubed and assembled, then put in a plastic bag or something else to protect from dirt.
>>539143401Yeah good point. I'll be sure to keep pic related too for when things get up close and personal *wink*
>>539136959No he doesn't. .22 is horrible advice for SHTF. The shotgun will be more useful, but not the best option for a "1 gun only" scenario
>>539135210is that elliot rodger?
>>539135210your neighbor's
>>539135552In game theory the unarmed person can infiltrate and control or influence the ones who are armed because they dont see them as a threat (a person of non violence like a priest for example)

>>539135210https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kbkysPTnHcSocial media has primed an environment where this type of degeneracy is not only accepted, it thrives. Social media desensitizes and radicalizes even moderates into believing heinous and abhorrent behavior is acceptable under the correct context. Spend just 5 minutes on Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, you will find hordes of these deranged people. They exist among us. The FBI knows about them but never acts until it is far too late. Western society is on a one-way fast track to collapse as long as social media continues to destroy minds and decay the culture.
>>539136477>Go to failed countries like South Africa. That's a hostage situation where they cannot use self defense because the courts and police are against them. The only thing they have left is to have steel fences to keep opportunistic ghouls at a distance.

>>539135510G19 or g43?
>>53914724819, but 26s and 17s are also acceptable. The larger double stack mags work in the smaller double stack guns and they all fit the same holsters.
