I think Russia would have a limited, but mostly friendly nuclear exchange with us if that happened, with most of the airbases and nuclear facilities getting wiped out in the process.DC and Moscow would also probably be hit.

I'm not a proponent of it, but if the launch tunnels out of their mountain complexes can't be overpressure and used to cause chain propagation of the munition stockpiles and if they start throwing IRBM's that threaten Europe and Israel it may end up coming to that. Supposedly there are variants of the MOP that can carry picrel. Theoretically the physical fallout should be minimal. Politically however it would likely be disastrous.
