Then they built the same thing cheaper and those German firms started losing market share in China.The war and gas situation came later, but the rot had already set in by that time. It wasn't one single factor but the compound effect of several.That's why the AfD's "solution" of trying to bring back the past by reconnecting to Russia gas won't solve anything. Because China is desperately flooding the world's markets with subsidised products they are selling at a loss, just for the sake of keeping the mechanism going. They need external markets to have any growth so they could parade this and say: look the CCP is making China great.
