Instead of looking around at what people regionally drink, they just decided to install an Ontario menu and uniform. They opened dozens of them all at once in the summer. About 100 gorrillion people showed up asking for iced coffee. None of the uniforms fit the giant shorty fatties who worked there. Arms too long, pants dragging, buttons bursting, hairnets catching on weaves. Local district manager figured out people really like this iced coffee stuff, so a couple of weeks in after telling everyone no and having them drive away buying nothing, they started pouring hot coffee over ice in a paper cup. This made for a leaky, luke warm puke beverage. At this point most people swore it off forever. But eventually they started actually making cold coffee and putting it over ice in larger plastic cups. By this point it was pretty passable for slop coffee, and certainly better than Dunkin. But the damage was done. They all went under eventually. But for a good decade or so they just ran them with no customers like a front like that, hoping something would work.
