>>539169889AI in America (“The Data Center Boom”) is merely a gentrification event. It’s nothing to do with AI.
>>539169889>>539170128And because the data center boom is no more absurd than picrel, it’s the next big thing. It’s not complicated.
>>539169889China is ultra based
>>539170128>The Data Center Boom>>539170211This is actually very similar to the dot-com bubble of the 2000s.The internet is indeed the most important technological revolution in the world, and it will certainly greatly improve people’s standard of living in the future. However, it will take many years of sustained operation for those benefits to materialize.Speculative capital in the U.S. created a massive stock market bubble in a short period of time. When the bubble burst, trillions of U.S. dollars vanished into thin air.And this AI bubble will be devastating. It could amount to nothing less than a Great Depression 2.0.
>>539169889Good. US AI is literally run exclusively by jews.
>>539169889Okay, but is it actually better in practice? Because I highly doubt it.

>>539170105KIMI K3AND ITS 40% CHEAPER
>>539169889>Open-Source AI in ChinaIt's not open source. It's promised "open weights", "soon". You can run it on your own hardware but you're not getting the code, tools, or design to fuck with it. From a regular consumer standpoint, models this large offer nothing because you will not be able to run it, the cost of such hardware is well over a million likely. This would be great for medium or average enterprises/businesses that would want privacy and control of hosting IF this didn't come with a "China" tagged attached to it. Since no western company is willing to touch an LLM with "CHINA" on it, its DOA.And no one is paying similar costs to ChatGPT to run this for casual use.
>>539170756https://x.com/i/status/2078213686481895812
>>539170032It's hard to ban open-weight models.
>>539170032Just like Chinese EVs and cars that would implode the car market because the Chinese cars are now better AND cheaper.
>>539171120Cursor's Composer is apparently based on Kimi
>>539171152For enterprise and company use? 100% easy. They won't care about consumers because maybe like 0.0000001% of all people are capable of running such a model on their own hardware. This will never see the light of day for any serious use in the West. It will be used by amateur game devs to make a subpar clone of paper mario that no one will ever play.
>>539171120>This would be great for medium or average enterprises/businesses that would want privacy and control of hosting IF this didn't come with a "China" tagged attached to it. Since no western company is willing to touch an LLM with "CHINA" on it, its DOA.You could actually set up an internal network, or simply extract part of the source code and incorporate it into your own AI model. However, whether Western companies use these models or not is completely irrelevant. That’s because the current goal of the Chinese government and Chinese AI companies is, in fact, to burst the U.S. AI bubble.A financial crisis could destroy everything. They don't care at all which country's AI model you use.
>>539169889I support China in the AI race unironically. Its better for the consumer. More products of high quality. Why should I care about faggot jews like Sam Altman and Dario Asperger profiting or Sundar Jeet at Google?
>>539169889based China.thanks for the AI waifus and stuff!
>>539171306>A financial crisis could destroy everything. It's cute that you think the western economy is based in anything realistic or tangible or follows logic.
>>539171282You don't need to run on your own hardware. Just rent time on someone else's hardware. If it's banned in the US, just rent from someone outside the US.
>40% cheaperI only accept one price: free
I ditched github copilot for Deepseek, I can't believed it I topped it up like 5 shekels, refactored huge corposlop and it barely costed a shekel. Fucking crazy.
>>539171387>It's cute that you think the western economy is based in anything realistic or tangible or follows logic.Nah~ If Western tech companies want to keep blowing bubbles, let them.Since they have unlimited money to waste on the stock market, why should we stop them?
>>539169889This is why we need more H1-B's from India to beat China!

More and more American companies are discovering that Chinese models are still "good enough" and cost a lot less to use. It's not worth paying OpenAI twice as much for results that are maybe 10-20% better. China has been building excess power generation capacity like crazy for decades, so Chinese companies essentially have infinite dirt cheap energy. I don't see how American companies can realistically compete over the long term.
>>539173344> It's not worth paying OpenAI twice as much for results that are maybe 10-20% better. This has the same cost as the OpenAI model. It's only major benefit is that it will have open weights you can run yourself or on another host.
